My 2013 c300 has the same engine whine noise with 80K, mechanic said it could be the transmission or the engine but when he removed the belt the noise went away... all that needs to be replaced is the power steering pump! this video was helpful thanks.

I have a humming noise from the rear of the my 2004 mercedes c230 kompressor near the fuel pump or the sending unit. it is pretty loud on idle but goes away on acceleration, any idea what it could be
I have the same noise on my 2010 C300. I changed both outlet idler and tensioner pulleys and the serpentine belt. But the whine noise is still there. I thought it might be the power steering but the noise doesn't increase when turning the steering wheel. Any thoughts?
I have a W203 C200 Kompressor that is incredibly noisy! On startup, it's a super loud whine and as you drive it quietens down a little, just a little.... but, when driving its there. The drive is super noisy and whiny. Some mechanics say it could be the supercharger... Does anyone else have a similar situation??
