I'm regularly getting a day and a half battery life on the Pixel 7, used between 3-5hrs per day, phone/video calls, mixed media and light gaming. It's very subjective and very much depends on how you use your phone and how often. This guy is a fringe/heavy user (doesn't even specify his average screen on time during the video). If you assume his screen on time is really high (5-8hrs per day), that would put him in the 80th to 90th percentile of users.

I just got myself a Pixel 7 Pro one week ago. So far the experience is really-really good. I just noticed few bugs that some might be interested to hear before buying:
    - There is a slight animation stutter/lag when unlocking with fingerprints from the not awaken display, when your AOD turns on and you unlock device from this state. I found a workaround for that. In developer settings there is an option 'Animator duration scale' if you set it to 0.5x lag is gone.
    - There are sometimes inconsistency with swiping motion, when scrolling feeds for example, same finger swipe will sometimes give either very fast scroll or will scroll few inches. Doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's kinda annoying. Tried changing different settings, results are the same. Multiple topics on different forums confirm that this problem is widespread. No workaround still. Hope next update will fix it.
    - Inconsistency with back gestures left and right. When trying to go back you have to swipe all the way from the edge, like almost touching metal. If you go all the way from the edge, it works consistently. But if you try to swipe back few mm away from the edge it will sometimes work, sometimes it will just scroll your app horizontally or will do any default swiping action your current app is set to. Came from OnePlus 7 Pro with same curved display and had no similar problems with that. I guess there is a need to increase range of swiping detection
Battery charging is slow compared to other flagships. It is good for a battery in a long term tho. Could be better if charging speeds would be on Iphone level at least.
Othen than that great phone, very fast, outstanding camera, video is doing good too, not Iphone levels good, but gets the job done.

Thanks for the very nice overview!! I recently got the P7, a bit reluctantly as I had to give up my S9 which I really liked. The new Google eco environment takes a while to get used to (and I still miss Samsung email). I decided for the 7 and not the pro because of the size. I must say that looking at the telelens I wished I also had that. In terms of battery life, the P7 is doing much better than the S9. Today I have been shooting a lot of pictures, put the phone on battery saving and came in the hotel with a bit more than 50%, the editing in Instagram however did eat up so much that I am now at 5%.. On other days I sometimes had 1,5 days to 2 days, without battery saving turned on. So yes, a bit better battery would be nice. I did not hear you about the AI in the P7 or P7pro. I thing that sometimes the AI is working a bit too hard for the pictures. You can restore things a bit afterwards by increasing sharpening and details, but I wished that Google also had a option for turning on AI only 20% or 50%, so maybe for the future... What is your experiencer in this area? Yet, now after 2 weeks I am quite satisfied with the P7 though.

Inaccurate review cuz I guess he didn't use 7 much as 7 pro since it's a pro cuz the battery will get better when you use it more so that your phone will get to know you and optimise it accordingly and my 7 is giving great battery all day after using it a like after 2 weeks and also the cameras it's literally the same except some little bit of compromises for 300$ less which is pretty huge difference cuz they're optional than a need anyway so I suggest you to save that 300$ and get yourself a new wireless charger and a pair of new earbuds for your phone.

I've been on my phone all day. My battery is at 80% it is an amazing phone with amazing features that iPhone does not have. The camera is amazing. The Google translator is amazing and the reason why I got the seven was because I was upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S10 that I had 3 years Aunt. I was between an s21 an iPhone 13 and out of them my budget because I'm always going to buy refurbished. I'm never going to pay no $700 to $1,000 for a phone in budget. Phones are no good in mid-range phones do not make any sense. They try to downgrade the Google pixel because we have these iPhone lovers. It is a flagship phone. I bought mine for $200 refurbished got it. It look brand new. I've had no complaints and I'm happy to upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S10. It is so frustrating that Google forces you to buy giant phones to get the best cameras. Why can't they give you an option that has the top level cameras in an actual reasonable size form factor? Apple understands this which is why they have the Pro and the the Max options. I have stuck with my Pixel 5 because I absolutely love the form factor and don't see the point of going to a Pixel 6 or 7 which still has just 2 cameras. The Pixel Pro sizes are just TOO BIG and heavy to enjoy using day to day. Samsung does get this with their Galaxy S range but I love the Pixel experience and the amazing camera software. Please Google give us a 3 camera phone in a more reasonable size!!

I'm a person that used to go back and forth between a Note and a OnePlus. I just had to have the flat screen I could not do the curved edges anymore. Once I saw the size of the pro that thing was way too big. I work with my phone in my pocket I just could not go with that huge mammoth. But I wanted all the extra bells and whistles they're just not that important. The only time I ever used my zoom on my camera was at the kids play just to zoom in on them real quick. But damn I really love the pro just a little bit too big

If you want to enjoy a Google phone don't buy a Google phone, buy Motorola instead. You almost get everything from Google plus all the ones Motorola gives you. My Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is evidence of that. And the design factors of the Fusion are miles ahead of the pixels. The Dolby audio is some of the best qualities in audio files you can have. The sound is so loud that you don't need any Bluetooth speakers for watching your movies. The speakers are in such a thin body phone with only 7.7mm thickness.

I like the phone, but it has its flaws. Mine gets very warm at the thought of doing something. Plus the camera I think needs a massive upgrade. That is a huge bezel....lol. I really hope pixel 8 will be a little better. I think it needs some basic things (match battery life with galaxy and iphones, match the amount of bugs as galaxy and iphone, qc aka the exploding camera and some ppl complaining about battery drain depending on if you get a bad unit). Then they can focus on other things like trying to match the video camera (reviews have been bad for this), match the galaxy screen. It might be better than prior years but It's just not really a flagship.
