I just got myself a Pixel 7 Pro one week ago. So far the experience is really-really good. I just noticed few bugs that some might be interested to hear before buying: - There is a slight animation stutter/lag when unlocking with fingerprints from the not awaken display, when your AOD turns on and you unlock device from this state. I found a workaround for that. In developer settings there is an option 'Animator duration scale' if you set it to 0.5x lag is gone. - There are sometimes inconsistency with swiping motion, when scrolling feeds for example, same finger swipe will sometimes give either very fast scroll or will scroll few inches. Doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's kinda annoying. Tried changing different settings, results are the same. Multiple topics on different forums confirm that this problem is widespread. No workaround still. Hope next update will fix it. - Inconsistency with back gestures left and right. When trying to go back you have to swipe all the way from the edge, like almost touching metal. If you go all the way from the edge, it works consistently. But if you try to swipe back few mm away from the edge it will sometimes work, sometimes it will just scroll your app horizontally or will do any default swiping action your current app is set to. Came from OnePlus 7 Pro with same curved display and had no similar problems with that. I guess there is a need to increase range of swiping detection Battery charging is slow compared to other flagships. It is good for a battery in a long term tho. The new Google eco environment takes a while to get used to (and I still miss Samsung email). I decided for the 7 and not the pro because of the size. It's worth bearing in mind that thes phones these modern high-tech phones are mirrorless and I'm surprised that these companies don't use that as a unique selling point..
I've had my Google pixel 7 Verizon for a month. I have no problem with the battery. I go to work. I work 10 hours. I get home and have 60% left. Today is Sunday my off day. I've been on my phone all day. My battery is at 80% it is an amazing phone with amazing features that iPhone does not have. The camera is amazing. The Google translator is amazing and the reason why I got the seven was because I was upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S10 that I had 3 years Aunt. I was between an s21 an iPhone 13 and out of them my budget because I'm always going to buy refurbished. I'm never going to pay no $700 to $1,000 for a phone in budget. Phones are no good in mid-range phones do not make any sense. They try to downgrade the Google pixel because we have these iPhone lovers. It is a flagship phone. I bought mine for $200 refurbished got it. It look brand new. I've had no complaints and I'm happy to upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S10. Keep in mind I could have got the s21 but I chose the Google and I'm happy with the change
Bought Pixel one day before this video was released, while it's overall good experience one thing I don't like is the battery, it drains like without me even using.
I use Nova launcher... but I turn off all those gaudy animations... in Nova and in Developer options. The phone feels SOOOO much faster with animations off!
It is so frustrating that Google forces you to buy giant phones to get the best cameras. Why can't they give you an option that has the top level cameras in an actual reasonable size form factor? Apple understands this which is why they have the Pro and the the Max options. I have stuck with my Pixel 5 because I absolutely love the form factor and don't see the point of going to a Pixel 6 or 7 which still has just 2 cameras. The Pixel Pro sizes are just TOO BIG and heavy to enjoy using day to day. Samsung does get this with their Galaxy S range but I love the Pixel experience and the amazing camera software. Please Google give us a 3 camera phone in a more reasonable size!!
Have Google solved the problem of the back glass shattering for no reason. in a little hole above the cameras yet? Also are the now agreeing to sort it out under warranty in all countries, or refusing.
Yeah, I got the pixel seven because of the size but you’re right the battery is not so great it’s OK and you’re also correct about the cameras. The main camera is great but the wide angle is not very wide and it would be nice to have some sort of telephoto on the back, but oh well and yeah, if I could redo my purchase, I’d probably get the seven pro
Need advice, can't decide between s21 fe 256gb and 8gb Ram and regular Pixel 7 128gb. They are both $600 in my region. On the one hand, s21 fe feels like a better deal to since it has more memory for the same price and 120hz display. And perhaps even stronger chip Snapdragon 888. On the other hand, Pixel 7 feels more premium and so different for me since I've always used Samsung devices. Would appreciate advises here
Lol you're confused just like me even i was confused between these 2 devices and I'm getting a pixel 7 as it's 500$ right now with discount and also i feel pixel phone in hand will definitely draw some eyes for it's unique wiser design than a usual looking samsung phone. Hear this out if you want phone with a bit more specs go for Samsung and if you're a person like me that wants to draw some attention with a classy look go for pixel it's not a mid ranger too it's between 865 and 888 which is pretty much future proof.

Ended up with the Pixel Pro 7 over the Pixel 7 due to lack of availability of the Pixel 7. Those promotions got these retailers moving that pixel 7 and rightfully so.
If you want to enjoy a Google phone don't buy a Google phone, buy Motorola instead. You almost get everything from Google plus all the ones Motorola gives you. My Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is evidence of that. And the design factors of the Fusion are miles ahead of the pixels. The Dolby audio is some of the best qualities in audio files you can have. The sound is so loud that you don't need any Bluetooth speakers for watching your movies. The speakers are in such a thin body phone with only 7.7mm thickness.
I have regular S22 and I never noticed that haptic feedback on this phone are one of the best even after I upgraded it from S20 before, it just feel same to my hands when using this phone compared to my previous S20
What do you mean too big? Every flagshig is 6.7 to 6.9 inches....The s22u is 6.9 inches and doesn't seem to get the same criticism. 14 pro max, 6.8 inches.
I like the phone, but it has its flaws. Mine gets very warm at the thought of doing something. Plus the camera I think needs a massive upgrade. The lack of a pro mode and only outputting 12.5mp images isn't great for cropability.. I also think the hdr is a little too strong but these are just my opinions.

I don't like the design of either 🙁 the displays aren't that bright in manual brightness mode which is a bit of a let down. Auto brightness is fine but we don't have much control over that
Hi Sam. How has phone reception been for you on the Pixel phones? Telstra has only given their "blue tick" for better rural reception to Samsung phones, so I'm leaning towards getting an S23+ (assuming they get the blue tick like the S22+. Also, have you heard of anyone having problems with cracked glass camera lenses on the Pixels?
Hi I have a Pixel 7. Is anyone one of you facing network connectivity issues? Wherein my phone randomly disconnects from the mobile network and doesn't reconnect despite showing full signal strength.
I agree the Pro model is worth the extra if you have it to spare. I went regular 7 because I already have an S22 and 14 pro. plus I like smaller phones. that said the regular 7 is worth every penny. the camera is better than both S22 and 14 pro (for pictures, no one is near Apple in Video) it really is a fantastic value at $499. don't regret buying it at all. ordered it day one of release
Why is a flat display a "cheap" model feature now? The pro should have had that too. They're making manufacturing difficult for themselves, just to make the end-user experience worse too
@@jevonsims900 Maybe some people are just out of touch with reality, or maybe it's something else, but between phones being well into the 1k+ territory in a lot of cases, 200-300$ is definitely not pocket change

The only downside is that for my particular device its impossible to find and screen protectors from reputable brands but im assuming it'll be easier for the pixels especially with a less curved screen

Inaccurate review cuz I guess he didn't use 7 much as 7 pro since it's a pro cuz the battery will get better when you use it more so that your phone will get to know you and optimise it accordingly and my 7 is giving great battery all day after using it a like after 2 weeks and also the cameras it's literally the same except some little bit of compromises for 300$ less which is pretty huge difference cuz they're optional than a need anyway so I suggest you to save that 300$ and get yourself a new wireless charger and a pair of new earbuds for your phone.
For $300.00 I could get a 30W Charger, Quality Case, Screen Protector, Pop Socket, and Wireless Earbuds easily.
It's worth bearing in mind that thes phones these modern high-tech phones are mirrorless and I'm surprised that these companies don't use that as a unique selling point..
I love how high quality your video is
As alwayssss a great video!!!
Hello mate, same story . I came from S10, today i have my bnew pixel 7
Bought Pixel one day before this video was released, while it's overall good experience one thing I don't like is the battery, it drains like without me even using.
I use Nova launcher... but I turn off all those gaudy animations... in Nova and in Developer options. The phone feels SOOOO much faster with animations off!
So is the pixel 7 better than the Pixel 6? As you were so high on the pixel 6. Would be nice to see a year on year comparison between them.
Yes the pixel 7 is better than the pixel 6.
Great watch as always 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
1:37 what is that music player?
Not a good comparison, they're almost as expensive (the Apples).
Maybe you're just using your phone too much?
Have Google solved the problem of the back glass shattering for no reason. in a little hole above the cameras yet? Also are the now agreeing to sort it out under warranty in all countries, or refusing.
Really what it boils down to is Size, and the display being slightly faster for those gamers out here.
What music app is that at 1:39?
Love my pixel 7 pro 🔥. Cheers mate from

Can u do a compare between pixel 6a vs 7?
Need advice, can't decide between s21 fe 256gb and 8gb Ram and regular Pixel 7 128gb. They are both $600 in my region.
On the one hand, s21 fe feels like a better deal to since it has more memory for the same price and 120hz display. And perhaps even stronger chip Snapdragon 888.
On the other hand, Pixel 7 feels more premium and so different for me since I've always used Samsung devices.
Would appreciate advises here
save up 300 more and get something better. why get mediocre if you will be keeping for 3+ years?
Lol you're confused just like me even i was confused between these 2 devices and I'm getting a pixel 7 as it's 500$ right now with discount and also i feel pixel phone in hand will definitely draw some eyes for it's unique wiser design than a usual looking samsung phone.
Hear this out if you want phone with a bit more specs go for Samsung and if you're a person like me that wants to draw some attention with a classy look go for pixel it's not a mid ranger too it's between 865 and 888 which is pretty much future proof.
@@MyKneeHurts bro, in a sh@thole country like I live, $300 is decent amount of money. Of course I'd prefer top range flagship device but in terms of money, that's the only options I got rn
@@sarath7621 well see, I do play games time to time, not a heavy gamer but during my free times, like Pubg and Diablo. Some people are criticizing Pixel's lack of "horsepower". But most importantly for me is to have fast responding phone. When I click something I want instant response, such as opening apps.
I rarely take any pictures so camera is the last thing that concerns me tbh
@@utkirkhusanov816 well performance wise I can tell you that everything is smooth got the 7 pro but Soc is the same apps open quickly and gaming goes smooth but after like an hour it starts decreasing performance but for most games it's enough power
I am proud a owner of pixel 7 . I get p7 in late October in Miami . By the way this month I just came back to my hometown in India. And hard to believe that this phone runs riot here . Whenever I going out for any occasion my friends and also other people just gathering around for taking photo 🤣 with my pixel 7 . 😂
Hi Sami ! I see you get your music from Artlist. I really like your choice of music and I was wondering what your search options are in Artlist for this type of music
Went from the iphone 13. Love it. They only thing you miss is the status symbol iphone brings. Silly really. Love the 7.
What is the notes app that was shown across all of the devices while discussing haptics?
Sir, what are your comments about the camera glass shattering on the Pixel 7 series?
Thanks , i was coming to same conclusion all ready and like you id thought it was the other way around last year. but this year in in the market to buy and you just finished off my thought process its the 7 pro
I'm a person that used to go back and forth between a Note and a OnePlus. I just had to have the flat screen I could not do the curved edges anymore. Once I saw the size of the pro that thing was way too big. I work with my phone in my pocket I just could not go with that huge mammoth. But I wanted all the extra bells and whistles they're just not that important. The only time I ever used my zoom on my camera was at the kids play just to zoom in on them real quick. But damn I really love the pro just a little bit too big
Note = Xiaomi?
Does the big telephoto zoom work with video as well ?
Great content mate!
do agree with the battery on the regular 7, I'm genuinely dissapointed they reduce the capacity for no reason, else this would be a perfect phone for me. I guess thats why they give the pro a 5000 to make the 300$ gap more reasonable
4:03 9hz Oled Panel?
Thanks for the haptics comparison.
I got the 7 Pro 2 weeks ago. And I don't get all notifications for mails, both when I use Gmail or the app from my provider. I have full background usage activated. Has somebody the same problem?
what was that app at 1:41
One thing I don't like it seeing customer launchers in phone videos
Pls create a video on best gcam and their settings XML etc
The haptics on both are identical...
what is the small computer on the table? i want to know!

my god, i can see the scrashes of the pro visor from here
Hi Sam
How can I disable the quick settings panel on the lock screen? ( on Google Pixel phones) .
I have changed the settings on the power button to turn on Google Assistant so nobody can press it and turn off the phone .
But anyone can easily just drag down the quick settings from the lockscreen and power off .
Motorola is absolute garbage
Just brought the 7 ,it is soooooo good.
Camera Crack.

What a good quality video man!! Do you think pixel 6 had better haptic experience than the 6 pro??
I have regular S22 and I never noticed that haptic feedback on this phone are one of the best even after I upgraded it from S20 before, it just feel same to my hands when using this phone compared to my previous S20
What do you mean too big? Every flagshig is 6.7 to 6.9 inches....The s22u is 6.9 inches and doesn't seem to get the same criticism. 14 pro max, 6.8 inches.
It is VERY wide my guy
? Can the Pixel 7 Pro, Screen-Cast onto the television? I can't seem to find out how to do it. Thank you.
I would love the 7 Pro with its telephoto lens and bigger screen. But its $749. I bought the 7 for $199. Not really a hard choice for me.
ERM I live in Australia I got the base model google pixel 7 pro 128 GB and it has 12 gig of ram . I even went to the Google store and it says 12 gig as well
Hi can you or someone please tell how to use quickswitch on lawn chair and android 13?
Fingerprint scanner works great......when you set up 4 fingerprints with 1 finger lol. I tried set up just 1 or 2 fingerprints with 1 finger....but it barely worked. But once I set up all 4 fingerprints to 1 finger.....now it works great lol.
I don't like the design of either 🙁 the displays aren't that bright in manual brightness mode which is a bit of a let down. Auto brightness is fine but we don't have much control over that
Really? The Pro is too bright. I keep my screen at 75-80% due to it being so bright.

I would like to buy a pixel 7 but im scare a bit the camera glass issue. I dont know...

I agree the Pro model is worth the extra if you have it to spare. I went regular 7 because I already have an S22 and 14 pro. plus I like smaller phones. that said the regular 7 is worth every penny. the camera is better than both S22 and 14 pro (for pictures, no one is near Apple in Video) it really is a fantastic value at $499. don't regret buying it at all. ordered it day one of release
what you do with so many phones?
@@dhruveshkhandelwal8104 have two lines and I switch up when I get bored.
Got the same phone and the pixel 7 pro. Would you agree if i say pixel pro 7 cam is better than the s22 ultra?
Why is a flat display a "cheap" model feature now? The pro should have had that too. They're making manufacturing difficult for themselves, just to make the end-user experience worse too
I am convinced these reviewers will say anything to sell a Pixel. He said "Only $200.00-$300.00 difference" like it was 2-3 dollars.
@@jevonsims900 Maybe some people are just out of touch with reality, or maybe it's something else, but between phones being well into the 1k+ territory in a lot of cases, 200-300$ is definitely not pocket change
200-300 for something you are going to be using for next 2 years is nothing
As someone who recently switched from a flat display to curved display, I find curved displays much much more comfortable to use gestures with. The only downside is that for my particular device its impossible to find and screen protectors from reputable brands but im assuming it'll be easier for the pixels especially with a less curved screen
Google really struck gold with these devices, I really see them becoming the iPhone of Android in a way that Samsung never truly was. Great to see them becoming mainstream.
I would really love to own any one of these considering I have a potato phone these phone are so cool and is my dream phone
Thabks for the cool review love the info
Wish Google released the pro is a more ergonomic form factor.
Explain how.
@@whillb same as how Apple does, make two of the same phones, same material and specifications but just smaller. Then have the 6.7” as the max versions with a larger battery.
I really like to thank you for uploading Ultrawide content in Ultrawide format. I really enjoyed your content on my LG Ultrawide.
Anyone else have issues with Bluetooth connection? I have a Kia and prior to the last security upgrade the 7 pro connected fine. But since it always fails and won't connect. Even after deleting, reconnecting and restarting etc. 🤷
Initially wanted the pro but I really dislike curve screen(sold my s22u) hence went with the regular 7...no regrets though

Do you like more Pixel 7 than S22u?
@@jonathanreyes1374 There are some elements of the s22u that I do miss but generally ya I like the pixel 7 more
Hi Sam, honestly, am at cross roads between choosing a pixel 7 Pro and a galaxy S23 ultra. Which would you choose 🤔🤔🤔
7 pro the S23 is overpiced
Go for samsung if you dont mind the price
go for S22U maybe. only difference is the main lens and tbh there is not much of difference anyways, and SAMSUNG have long support so maybe that's better deal
How about you wait until the S23 actually comes out before deciding? Seems ridiculous to be asking right now.
Pixel 7 Pro have qualities but Samsung Ultra series smartphones are more complete than any others smartphones in the market. Not perfect of course but complete for sure. If battery efficiency issue is solved, S23 Ultra will be smartphone of the year.
If you are into Google AI features then buy a Pixel 7 Pro. I don't trust Tensor G2 longetivity and Google neither since there will be only 3 years Software Update. Be careful and good luck with your choice😉
Tempted to put my 6 in the draw now and go for the 7 series. Great video, would be great for some links to your wallpapers you use in your videos 😁
Sir, wait for pixel 8 or buy pixel 7 now? ( for my Mom )
I never understand the comments that the Pixel 7's battery is so inferior. I've used both extensively, and the 7 is at least on par with the 7 Pro...if not actually better.
They’re both too big and I’m not a fan of this strategy of regular and Pro models. I want a regular sized Pixel and I’m not keen on missing out on telephoto lens or better cameras overall. I’ll only accept screen & battery size differences.
I got my Pixel 7 for 240€ using tarde-in and preorder bonuses
I sold mine. Too buggy. Cameras overhyped. Xiaomi 12t pro now and am not upset about that.
What about speakers. ? Are they different ?
Way worse than 6 pro
Fist thing I do when I buy a new phone is turn off all the Haptics on it...
That is a huge bezel....lol. I really hope pixel 8 will be a little better. I think it needs some basic things (match battery life with galaxy and iphones, match the amount of bugs as galaxy and iphone, qc aka the exploding camera and some ppl complaining about battery drain depending on if you get a bad unit). Then they can focus on other things like trying to match the video camera (reviews have been bad for this), match the galaxy screen. It might be better than prior years but It's just not really a flagship.
