Finding out that Sam Tucker lives in Romania through a badly designed app is crazy.
he moved to romania last year i think
He mentioned this a couple of times already...
@@mrN3w7 Could be, I only just recently started watching him.
You missed the few videos where he kept on saying it.

"it is a prison, but it's a very nice prison!" 😂
@@salsa_50 I like to call it a country club.
I hate the prison because the iPhone 6S cannot be updated further than iOS 15... as it should be
@@machieu that's the apple way
@@machieuJailbreak it!
@@machieu that would be true for older Android phones as well. In fact, you can make the argument that the latest versions of Android OS can only work on a very small percentage of Android phone due to the wide variety of specs and features for all their devices. And many, many Android phones are hobbled by carrier bloatware so even if they can get the latest updates, it might take a while before it becomes available since any updates have to be reviewed by the carriers to make sure it doesn’t interfere with their pre-installed software.
As far as the iPhone 6S is concerned, it really is asking a lot for a 9 year old phone to handle a much more advanced version of today’s iOS. The 6S doesn’t have the require processing power and RAM to make it function properly. I’m sure it can be ported to the 6S with a little hack but it would most likely be a worst experience because of it.
I had to use an iPhone for work. It caged my cats and sandwiches. It made me hungry. And lonely.
Meow, 😂
Sad reality - most iPhone fans compare their phone to budget price androids 😢
Yeah, it's like saying my Lexus is better than your Hyundai Atos meaning Hyundai is worse than Toyota
@@-Ventrix- Dunno, 200usd can get you a very nice android phone.
And people compare the galaxy S24 Ultra to the iPhone 15 (normal, not pro)
@@Cootshk Who is doing this? And are they comparable to people jumping from a phone plan 100$ Android to an iPhone?
It makes them feel better spending 1k on a phone to think that.
True, Apple makes pretty... Pretty unfunctional things.
The magic mouse is magically horrible 🤣
Ah yes, the Apple haters are in full effect. I would ask you to give me a list of Apple’s “unfunctional” products but I would only receive hyper-emotional responses or insults.
(Sigh)😕 The ability to engage in meaningful dialogue is over.
pretty? Whats so pretty about all the copy paste iphone 10,11,12,13,14,15 they all look dull and uninspired.
@housepianist I think the apple mouse is bad look at the charging and design the apple key board is slow due to the lack of number pad on the main screen tho you can get a new key board as well as the auto correct which often uncorrect things and it's suggested options are slow to appear and the small amount of ram on their phones is sad s20 ultra 12 gigs of ram 15 pro max 8 gigs of ram
@@housepianist Well if I had to make a list, a few that I would consider "unfunctional" would be:
The magic mouse- can't even be used while charging
Magic pen 1- charges by being attached to the lightning port on a phone
iPhone 15- titanium made it less durable, plus the fact that it would overheat super quick (not sure if this issue has been resolved yet, could have just been a problem at launch)
Plus the fact that all of their more recent devices have had important features removed, such as less ports on Macs and iPhones losing the headphone jack.
I think the main reason iOS often seems more polished and functional is because it's developed for Apple's own products. Android, while it's certainly going to be tweaked for whatever device you have, often isn't perfect. I, for one, would rather have to work through issues and have the freedom to do what I want with my device than be babied in a fancy prison.
It probably is because iOS apps are designed in the Apple style, as they are consistent(at least some of them)
@@-Ventrix- Exactly. Apple has the freedom to do what they want with their os because it's only running on their own devices.
Bingo.
@@sampenney204 That was all true but no more now that Apple has Android iOS 18. You'll see how truly good it is when it has to be compatible with everything. Yeah sure it's easy to snap a twig on it's own but a bundle of them. That's basically what Android been doing for awhile now. I can't wait to hear Apple blame their customers for their mistakes 🤭

I had the Nokia 1520 and absolutely loved it. The UI just stands out. Sad it was discontinued 😢
I miss my Lumia 928 WP8. Light years ahead of the others at the time. iOS and Android are just so garishly fugly and unintuitive.
It is a very pretty prison. I only have to worry about Apple bending me over when they make a major addition to iOS that requires a new $1000 phone.

Yeah. How did it go for them
"Icons are polished and nice" iOS 18 exists
Wait. The cappy dude in the audience asked Tim Cook how to make sending stuff to his mothers phone easier, and Tom replied "buy her an iPhone"???? How arrogant...
Better still that bloke was a journalist too, it was an organised event and even knowing that the arrogance still flowed like it was from the A.S.S (Ass Stockholm Syndrome) of so many users
Yup, that dumb remark eventually bit Tim in the butt. Dunno if he enjoyed it, but it was really bad.
I've met a few super apple fanboys. I try to be diplomatic and say both sides have matured (which isn't a lie) in terms of OS upgrades, albeit, Apple has been on a stagnant growth in that sense but why change much when your fans are blind supporters. Windows and Android wish they had that level of blind support. I will bitch about samsung anytime i get annoyed at their stuff, but i hardly see Apple fans do that. Apple users like myself though...I can use the macbook, but i really hate the iPad and the iPhone. feels so clinical but some people like to not complicate their phones because boomers but make sure to smugly tell you that because they think they're better.
Some companies in my country, use macbooks as an added benefit to work in their company. lol. it's really just wow.
@@sonofage yup, apple fans will pick their products because they're simple and easier to use, then in the same breath they will say they are more technically savvy than you.
I guess this is what happens when you turn a phone or a pc into a status symbol, you get idiots defending it no matter what because they staked their identity into what kind of device they use.
@@Krannskimy problem is that I don't think iOS is easier to use: I personally use Android but have iPhone for work and it's constant struggle; the keyboard needs switching for numbers and symbols, password manager is stupid (I have to tell it which password I need to use, among all the passwords stored), there are several ways to "go back" but not one that works in all the contexts...
I mean, it's in the simple things that iOS falls short.
I find it frustrating.
Shure, premium hardware, but not enough to compensate the fact that you have to use it, and not only show it off
Linux can be a hot mess sometimes. But once you use it, you realize windows is all the time. And thats what it shows you plainly
exactly!
To make my audio equipment work in Linux, I had to spend days making and finding scripts to configure them, every single one of them. In addition, the absolute atrocious ALSA constantly bugs out and half the time simply will not work if you set any bitrate over 16 combined with 96KHz. Combine that with the issue that Linux doesn't in any single way allow for multiintracast. Great fun. Also, rendering in DaVinci takes almost 50% longer on Linux than in Windows, and DaVinci has completely stopped supporting all AMD hardware because of Linux and AMD can't get anything to work correctly, so they simply said "we're pulling the plug on AMD on Linux, we can't keep supporting garbage".
Watch out, here come the linux gate keepers, they use arch.
@@darkstars-torpedoes-of-truth i do use arch😂but im not gonna gatekeep anything!
@@somnia3423 Well, that's a good thing. I've experienced so many gatekeepers, it's good to see there are some who aren't.
iOS is better than Android because iOS is becoming Android
It's really not though. They still have restricted app stores. Honestly, if iOS was at least more like MacOS (which I use and love) I'd switch over. iOS is just way too restricted for me to take seriously /:
Everybody copies everybody. It’s not an Apple thing. Ever wonder why Samsung is turning towards creating a walled garden of sorts? Ever wonder why their product designs are borrowing cues from Apple. Ever wonder why manufacturers are starting to understand the significance of Apple silicon and trying to create their own?
Everybody copies everybody.
Ew they would never
Really is if all you gonna do is add android features 😂😂😂
iOS will become Android and Apple will claim they revolutionised Android.

They don’t want to chat with your parents then why are they compelled to?
@@Tutelage810 That's not what he said. He said they're having troubles communicating with whatever means they're using between the platforms.
Without specifics a statement like that really doesn't mean much. It's not like there are not a handful of different platforms and tools that allow communication just fine between the two platforms.

Funny how many people commented before watching the video, based on the title, or just didn't understand the irony.
what video
I actually love these kinds of videos, even as an Apple user. What's so obvious to me is that a similar video about Android or Microsoft would yield mostly light-hearted comments and humorous ribbing. But when you do a similar video about Apple, all the haters come on and create a huge trash dump on Apple and vent hate against them and their users. You don’t see that anywhere else.
In the case of Apple, you're right. There is no humor or irony. Just pure hate with no rationale to it. 🤷♂️

I’m not a fan of the iPhone’s closed system, but it does a great job of managing apps. When I gave my mom an Android phone, it quickly filled up with notifications, ads, and spam because it's more open and apps can easily add these things. iPhones stay clean and uncluttered since they restrict what apps can do. I think iPhones are great for people who don’t know much about using phones. As an experienced Android user, I can manage my apps and keep my phone even cleaner than iOS.
I gave my Mum my note 10+ when I upgraded as hers carked it. I turned all the notifications off except the necessary Samsung and Android updates and removed various apps she'd never use and she has no issues. She's 82 and not technologically minded (though knows to delete dodgy texts). She recently got a new car so I set it up so she can answer calls whilst driving which she thinks is the bees knees. Androids can be made simple if need be. It's versatility is what makes it superior in my view.
tldr: apple is for dumb people
Apple is also great for people that know enough about tech but just don’t wanna bother and waste their time. Apple has made me more productive than ever. It’s simple and easy, as every tool should be. I work in the legal field and don’t require freedom in software. I need efficiency.

Sam you're the reason I laugh every day. Never stop making these. You're a true genius!
Here are my counter-arguments against each category:
Beauty: Make your Android beautiful yourself. Download a custom launcher. Download an icon pack. Install a custom ROM. If you mean physical beauty, whoops.
It just works: Androids also just work. But, if you're advanced, then play around in ADB. About the green bubble part, there's nothing wrong with it. Sure, it *used* to mean you were using SMS/MMS, but iOS 18 added support for RCS, which is the same as if not better that iMessage.
The ecosystem: Get a Samsung, Huawei or Xiaomi. That's all I have to say here.
Make one on Nokia
Yh, when iPhone copy its always the Apple way
Folk's points ain't convincing, he'd lose to a 9yo in a court😂
There is a lot I don't like about apple and iOS, but here is one thing I strongly prefer about it: native code support. Once Apple finally gave in and released a SDK, it has been ObjectiveC and then Swift, both of which compile and run native CPU instructions. While Android has been hampered by being Java and running under a VM. They have a native SDK but it is clearly second-class. When I wrote a native Android application, I still had to include Java and have Java interop.
Id like to know more about this. I gave a similar comment which I think iOS is objectively better and it was app deployment. Most of the reasons in the video are purely subjective
I read somewhere that multiplatform frameworks like flutter compile to native code even on android. I'm not a dev so I don't know much about it. And how do you think that this could be fixed in android
