Paul’s rock crawling skills blow my mind. I have done a bit of crawling in my day, Paul naturally sees the lines.
Plus only needing to worry about the glass on the vehicle with the patina instead of paintjob and any dents will be beauty marks.
Ben was doing a good job spotting Robbie, so he must've been rock crawlin' more than a few times too!
Ya.. I get we break it, will fix it but Paul takes that to another level. Literally
@@jdougn2255 I don`t know Ben`s background , but , he very much seems Paul`s equal in the shop, and quite possibly out of the shop . They work well together . They are both
level headed guys with a quiet sense of humor . ( I do think that Paul should have done a better job of " introducing him " when he started . )
Was going to say the same thing. I'd like to see more of their rock crawling adventures in the future
"Those who know, know". Not spilling your beer skills transfer to not spilling your Mt. Dew skills. Bens got skills.
LOL
That’s kinda what I was thinking too haha
A friend of mine taught me a valuable lesson. He bought a brand new Dirt Bike helmet, unboxed it, wiped it down, and took a photo of it all new, clean and shiny. He then threw it across the driveway onto the gravel.
It's better to get the first scratch over with and then you don't have to worry about when it will happen.
Ben giving Robby a rock crawling lesson. Paul is a amazing driver. Awesome stuff!!!
Great work all. Robby's face tells all. Wet sand is the only thing I ever got stuck in. No one to call, no cell phones back then. We used CB radio to call an old-timer hermit who had a landline. But couldn't get through to him. So, on my own. I found a log, put it near the rear, used the high-lift and pushed it off the jack sideways 20 times to spin the bronco onto higher ground and went home. 4 hours work. Don't know where I learned the spare tire trick but used it many times. I started carrying a 13-inch wheel with no tire to save space for the uplift. The high-lift pushing it off sideways will get almost anything out of anything.
Well Robbie is kind of a newbie to this but man that smile on PAUL’s face when he got up over the one he didn’t think he could climb dude that right there is definitely priceless, love it.
That tire trick getting the side by side out was pretty clever idea Paul.
Here in the south, we encounter mud and suction all the time and that spare tire trick is a regular in our bag of tricks.
@@donaldbrown6044 The suction might equal 2 more times the weight of the vehicle. Have you watched 4WD-24-7 out of Australia? They love to wheel through mud bogs and get buried on a regular basis.
That yota is freaking awesome!!! Love that trick with the rope and wheel. 👏👏💪💪💪
Good to see Papa Dar’s Jeep! That build was the one that hooked me!😄
The faces Robby was making while riding with Paul = Priceless ... 🤣🤣
Robbies nervous laugh was funny. You got to scratch that fancy rim, all in all looked like a fun day!!!
The YOTA is a well built beast, Paul used his experience as derby car builder on this rig. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
You have an AMAZING MACHINE PAUL!....GOOD JOB everyone!....
That was amazing, and you got to help someone out, how much better can it get? @ 9:33 (ish) Robbie was looking awfully nervous and you Paul said, "there we got it" and Robbie pulled a nervous laugh and again @ 10:14 (ish) you went Ha, Ha ha ha ha and again Robbie’s face turned from frightened to a smile. Mind you he will only get better with driving with you guys and seeing how it is. That was ace, thanks for sharing and stay safe.
after watching all of Fab Rats videos and seeing the interaction with the involvement BFG has in the offroad world, I went with BFG KO2 for my pickup truck up here in Canada.
Matt was right; Paul is the kind of driver who would always be bold even more than other rock crawlers, as long as there's no dying danger; Robbie can fix it. Man, Paul is so cool. I hope he never loses that
Spare tyre trick working a treat. Comes in real useful when it rains here in Australia too.
Yoda is a beast. That thing goes anywhere. Love that truck......
That rescue puts Matt’s Rescue to shame. Great idea using the spare tire to add needed lift!
Interesting , Thank You . A fine example Team work , purpose built vehcles and a fine example gear knowlege. Again thank you for another fine video
Ever thought about a roll bar over that back seat? Quick attach or folding so when someone is back there, well you know.
Learned something new with the tire trick. Love you guys, always look forward to new videos every two days….Thanks Michelle 😉
Yep sure love Michelle’s editing skills. The guys give great content to work with too it seems
At the 22.00 mark Robby got scared.
I was as well. That is one bad ass rig Fab Rats has...The Rat Rod Climber.
I'm not surprised you made it up that rock wall lol. So awesome! Also excellent rescue!
Well that looks like a fun day out. Minus the rain
Very cool to see the tire high lift technique work so well. Great video!
The only reason I can think of where your FJ runs cool at slow speeds then overheats when you're driving fast is that the fan is on backwards so when you're fast, the air is pushing against the direction the fan is moving air. I've seen it before!!! Lol!
I like the way Ben is still wearing a shop work shirt and has pens/tools in his pocket- even when going out to play
If you stay ready, you never have to get ready.
@@tobyvision I'm sayin'!!
My friend's father was an electrical engineer, I never saw him with a pen, lead pencil, a slide rule and I think a pad, in his shirt pocket, 20 years after he retired he was still carrying that stuff. He was a neat guy.
Reminds me of Marlin C from Marlin Crawler
That cab on the rock seemed like a pretty good argument for not painting the FJ.
Paul, you gave Robby the ride of his life. Bet he had butterflies in his stomach.
I think it's awesome to see how much BFG supports all the communities they are involved in.
Paul, your "back seat" reminds me of the old Rumble seat. I want a ride in the FJ.
Robby was acting pretty brave there but you know he was dying on the inside and questioning his choice in friends lol
Great video. Relaxed doing cool stuff. Paul rock crawling and smiling like a mule eat’n briars…. Ben always knows stuff and prepared to hunt bear with a switch, Papa Dar, being an old basic materials man myself, I totally get. Robby is so talented and with his wife, they are the cutest kids on the block. I’ll take my hat off to you fellas and gals.
FabRats to 1,000,000 let's GOOOO
AC then some paint on that FJ!! Its sounding good. Climbs great.
That was awesome climbing
Paul you are an incredible wheeler dude!
At 10:25 was crazy sick!
That's crazy the places that thing can drive over.
Great Day 👍
Great video ! A little wheelin and a cool recovery 👍👍
..I like the spare tire mod to break suction!! Might have to use that one if I ever get a mud recovery here in Colorado
Spare tire trick...genius 🤙🏽
Once again I learned a new trick. Spare tires are more useful then I thought! Great recovery
You guys sure know how to have fun !
Great video! 👍👍💗
You guys are crazy but at least you're having fun with your friends You're awesome.
What a great episode. I didn't realize I was missing see the FJ crawl!
very cool amazing driving sir Paul .Got a chuckle there sir Ben with ahahahah lol well done guy's
At the end there pulling that little rig out I thought somebody's going to slip in that stuff but nobody did good job guys
So cool a run. .
Ben seems like a great guy !
Excellent rock climbing!! Good to see Robby joining in too!! Love the recoveries especially the one in the river wash.. That boy was definitely stuck!!! LOL!! Keep up the good videos!!!
Thats a cool thing to do with that spair tire COOL TO DO never seen it done like that. Lol lol
🤣🤣🤣 9:11 Paul trying to push the 900k ton rock off his FJ, with 1 hand 🤣🤣🤣
Hope Robby cleaned his draws after that. Glad ya missed the rain.
That was some awesome wheeling. Made it look like an everyday drive for Paul.
Military 6x has tire systems like that. Fun stuff.
That was a great idea to use the spare tire for lift on the Razor! 👍👏
Paul that was some serious wheelin skills. I loved Robbie face while you were riding through 😂😂
You have built a beaut that FJ is sweet nice job
Awesome fun time and awesome recovery job well done everybody Papa Dar Ben And Paul!!!
Great video ya'll as always!! Paul that fj is amazin and you're drivin skills also that looked really sketchy couple times bought peed myself. Great job good job pullin that side by side out. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy what ya'll do
I can see Robby making it a priority to build something for himself... ;)
Loved the vid! Love seeing everyone get along and giving experiences
A great time was had by all! Well, except the guys that got stuck, I think they need a Badlands winch on their rig. You guys are all super. Stay safe and GOD bless
impressed us all with the fj today Paul. She's a beast.
Awesome!!👍👍
I kept thinking those are RATO (rocket assisted take off) packs on that BFG rig and was waiting for the boost to kick in
All in all a good day.
Thank you, PAUL. TELEGRAPH DOESNT DO ME RIGHT..... I AM STILL TRYING TO Get my mechanics shirt...... I love that you have them to go over the winter hoodies
Paul....that side trip though the cracks with Robby....was insane....😁👍
Very cool 👍
Yee...
Haw...
Glad to see you using the yoga beasts and ROCKIN IT with Radical Robby Layton,
No mischievous maker???
Rollit if you got it
I’ll be down there in a few weeks; and EZE peekaboo canyon tour is on the itinerary!
Insane. Love it
Very impressive you make it look easy
Paul and Ben and papa dar great job. Great videos
I can see why you didnt paint the crawler now, good call!
Nice.
We had the air down system in our trucks in the service I think it was called CTIS no digital display but it's proven technology
So when are you going to put that air down system on the Jeep.
Nice recovery and play time
That was a great video enjoy watching everyone and once again I'm fairly new to your channel 👍🌧️
Paul you are frickin nuts dude
Can you please put up a link to where we can find more information on the tire deflation system?
Amazing crawling
I’ve been waiting for one of you to do the rope over the tire trick
I use that tire trick to pull stumps 👍
Great video guys
Is there anything better than buddies helping their buddies spend money.
The Yoda is a rock crawling machine
Another great video
I’m headed up to Pleasant Grove Ut from NJ tomorrow night. So bummed I can’t take my FJ cruiser out there to do some wheeling. But I’ll be trying to win some money throwing axes which is fun too.
Aww Paul scuffed his mall crawler wheel LMMFAO
Amazing...
Is Dars Jeep “finished” (realize never really done)? If so, maybe an update video or part of one from when it left your shop. Either way, keep’em coming
In this episode the radiator is finished...
Looks like if you go wheeling with EZE there is a good chance you'll get to meet Fab Rats! LOL
Great video rats!
That was sweet as!:)
I sure am missing Randal's snarky comments He kept you humble.
Ac should've done been installed in the yoga with the heat in Utah
I think, but could be wrong, they are planning on it, but are waiting on some parts to arrive to do the deed.
Yes they are
Paul had said he's waiting on parts so he can put ac in it
