I live in a flat and was actually considering buying a cow for milk before learning that oat milk was an option. Thank you for helping me save money!

Begs the question by grain product prices such as bread and cakes prices going through the roof if we have grain in the UK. Makes me wonder how much profiteering is going on

They do what they can get away with. When people boycott inflation and stop purchasing things will change... until then,..

This will not produce the oat milk you buy. The oat milk you buy has gone through an enzyming process that breaks down the carbohydrates into sugars, and the proteins which turn oats into thick porridge when you heat them.
This milk will still turn to porridge if you heat it up.

Is this an enzyme you can easily buy? I've been trying to make oat milk for a while so I can boil it, but it just goes to gloop

I was wondering why people would drink raw porridge water, be easyer to just eat some porridge each morning, tastes better, fills you up till after lunch time, stop getting into fads that are usless and waste your time, if you cant drink milk then don't, you dont see peanut alergic people lusting after oat butter ffs, just stop, move on, find a juice you like, people are like kids, always bawling at mom for a treat or some shiney thing they dont need.

Was wondering, if I was wanting to use this gloop as a cream replacement say for a dairy free egg custard pudding, would it work?

At least they seemed to leave out all the oil used in the manufactured stuff and this ote water seems better for you the the oat oil water from the store.

@@webvole Really? Water, Oats, a touch of salk. Blitz for 2 mins and pretty much let it sit there with with the occasional stir. It would take you longer to go to the super-market or even order a pack on-line than make this. This has to be pretty much the worlds easiest recipe for anything.
