Rooster was awesome and had a lot of great info for the section we were coming up on. I really liked getting to meet fire/forestry guys and getting their perspective on the situation of wild fires that occurred this year. Really enhanced my experience and understanding of the local happenings.
Honeybeat and I did the Appalachian Trail in 2018, that one has a lot more elevation change and is a little more physically demanding so lower mileage is to be expected.

You hike a lot of miles in one day. I am watching a couple of guys doing the AP trail. They hike around 12 miles a day. Prayers for your safe journey
