@Me Myself & Dice Glad the video was good enough for your research ... and great channel! Another subscriber and looks like we have similar gaming tastes! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Oh yeah, You and I overlap a lot. But that's awesome. I've been enjoying your content for a good while and have pointed people towards you in several conversations. Thanks for the kind words! keep being awesome!
great video, spent pretty much all my sunday going through and learning how the game works and had a fun first run through watching this video now has been a quick way to confirm that i got pretty much all of the gameplay rules right, so i suppose its a good sign for the rulebook as for the game, now actually playing it, i think it's pretty solid... it will be on the table quite often but it's not really in the "WOW this is awesome" group of my solo board games but i wouldn't be surprised if that changes as i play it more this week it sure is tricky to remember to move the watcher isn't it heh
@@DaletheCasualGamer Bought this cause of all the good reviews of the solo mode, but I'll definitely give multiplayer a go once it's easier to get groups together.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoying DoE a lot myself right now. On games that have special solo rules, for me it is like learning sets of rules. And, on a new game that is a challenge for me. You do great in playing a new game, playing it solo, and filming it. That would be a big fail for me. Question - Around the 5:28 time you placed the ghost wizard on a tile next to the monster. Prior to that you had regrouped and you would have placed your token on the Glory Track, ending peacetime. Given that, would the monster have rushed in on the ghost wizard at 5:28?
Hi Dale! Are you going to get Andromeda's Edge? I am curious to know if you still enjoy Dwellings solo or if it is not worth it just for solo play. Thank you!
I've been watching the campaign, and still trying to convince myself I don't need it since I still have Dwellings. But will "outer space" be better? I don't know.
Me again. :-) Played solo a few times. You did great. Not an expert on the game by any means, but I think it helps to end the game as quickly as possible on solo. The longer the game the more cards the ghost gets and the ghost gets cards a lot easier (for free! he he).
Dale, I have been really enjoying your videos, esp the Marvel Champions one. Really enjoyed this one, but noticed you had the wrong starter card. The Wizard should be two potions and a scroll, the warrior should be 2 tools and a a sword. Other then that, great vid!!!
At 43:30. Yes, when to end the game? Whether solo or with others, if I can end the game I try to do so when my next turn will be my regroup. And, if I end it by placing the last tile even better. Then, I hope to buy 2 adventure cards. The AC's are points, and maybe the regroup gives some points. One game I built a dwelling on my last regroup turn. In my last game I had the Troll's Next with a gem on it. Placing the warrior on the card during regroup gained me points equal to the glory track level I was on (which was 8). That can be a lot of points through the game. But, on solo even with the Troll's Nest boost I lost. Solo is tough due to the number of AC's the ghosts get.
@Tony Bowers there is definitely a point where keeping up with the ghosts is going to be difficult to do, so ending as early as you can should benefit. :)
You're the best for the solo playthroughs, thank you!
@JC Grumpt Thanks, very much appreciated! :)
Great job showing off the solo game - I was wondering how it worked/played!
Thanks for watching, and hope your games go well! :)
Working on a planning a playthough video and needed a quick rules refresh. Stayed for the whole thing! Fantastic as always Dale! Enjoyed every min.

Thanks for doing this Dale! I have the game incoming so this is perfect timing.
@Takk Lang Awesome! Hope you enjoy! Are you planning on more solo or multiplayer games?

44:30 - the Griffin only grants boons if you control it.

@Tony Bowers There's always something. lol
Yep, that guy would have been rushed and attacked. Wizard got lucky. :)
Awesome Dale!! Thank you!
You are welcome! Is this something you are considering getting?
@@DaletheCasualGamer yes! :D I have Arnak and love it! I’m slowly becoming a huge fan of these hybrid style games!

@@DaletheCasualGamer Solo, but the friend I game with likes DoE as much as I do, so both are fun.

@Dane Bohr Thanks!! Must have got the replacement cards mixed up. :)
This does look enjoyable, but is there anyway to modify difficulty, as solo doesn’t seem overly challenging. Or are you just that good? 😀
Sometimes you just get lucky. Also, playing a different faction will change the way you play along with how cards come out. :)
It’s like that old vaudeville routine of spinning plates.
I hope I did better at this game than I would at spinning plates, although that would be entertaining for about 10 seconds. :)

This game looks very cool but dang it has a lot of components. I’m a fan of simpler setup / tear down
@Michael Wages The trays really do help with that, but still a lot of areas to prep. :)
