No, because players like McNabb aren’t even being considered, and you’d take him as your QB over Manning. How many other HOF players would get picked over in a draft by so many non HOF players?

sneakapikachu he was the man in the 1960s, he was injured for most of the 70s, and had a great arm with a quick release. Please do some homework before you speak. Not to mention he played in NYC which benefits Eli at the end of the day

Whitlock calls Drew Brees one of the GOATs and referred to Sean Payton as the best coach in football all year long and in 14 seasons together they have 6 seasons at .500 or under and only won 1 Super Bowl together.
12th Man Pride 1. He’s a gunslinger like a Brett farve (HOF), you’re going to get interceptions with Eli Manning because he throws into tight windows 2. He was in a bad situation with a terrible offensive line (one of the WORST ever) and no running game. 3. Defense? The defense had 2 sacks against the patriots in 2011 and last time I checked it was Eli who threw the game winning TD and went 83 yards not the defense.

Yeah, he is a Manning, he was basically guaranteed a gold jacket the day he was drafted. He doesn't need all-pro or MVPs. All he had to do was play a long time and not get hurt which he did very well.
.500 winning percentage nah bruh he's average just had a great defense backing him. As for the number their inflated because of new rules. 5 yrs from now his stats will be surpassed by others average QB. Just can't compare the 60s 70s 80s 90s with this era as time goes on numbers will continue to grow
@@Si1verRaven your not supposed to be compared to future qb. Just his piers. So besides his brother, brady, brese and maybe Rodgers, who can you say was better for as long? Rothlesburger? Rivers? I would put them in the same boat, and to me they are both hof also...
But that omits so much of the narrative. He has so many losing seasons, so many interceptions, was never one of the top 5 qb in the league at any stage. All of his stats just come from longevity. That's like saying if jameis winston is allowed to play for 10 more years, he should be a hall of famer... NO. They are not elite enough.
I'm not a giants fan but I have to agree. 2 Superbowls with 2 MVPs should be enough. Maybe not 1st Ballot, but he will get in. His regular season stats arnt amazing but it's what he did in the post season. Flacco had an incredible run but no one thinks he should be in. Eli is on another level completely. People like Flacco shouldn't get in, people like Eli should imo. Eli beat some ridiculous tough teams during those 2 runs. Underdogs everygame. Eli held it together and Michael on the other side was doing his thing. I'd be shocked if Eli gets the Phil Simms treatment. Eli was better then Simms so idk.
well of course he is in the top 10 in major categories he was a starter for 16 years....any QB that is a starter for 16 years would have top 10 merits. That doesn't mean you belong in the HOF. He never stood out in his era of playing. HOF is for the absolute best of the best and Eli is not one of those players. sorry.
@@matteoagresti817 I'm not saying that .... that's an incredible feat - I'm just saying the next guy up who does is going to have similar stats to Eli - SB wins or not.
So, if a guy plays 22 years and averages 221 yards and 1.55 TDs per game (25 per season), should he be the all time passer leader in TDs and yards just because he lasted a phenomenally long time? Especially when his averages are waaaaaaay below the QBs that are actually good?
Frank Castle Rodgers have a Quarter Back Rating Of 90 and Higher In 14 of his 18 Career Playoff Game Starts with an 10-8 Record I Blame The Defense For That Record
Each HOF brings a different story to why they’re in HOF. Respect Eli’s. He took down the undefeated Patriots. He made the correct plays when he had to. And the last five years the Giants roster (including coach) hasn’t been that great.
Jun Corrs he has a total of 6 play off wins ffs hahaha he lost as many games as he won and he only Went to 4 prowl bows in 16 years and no 1st team all Pros he ain’t worthy of the gold jacket but he will get it because of his name
My favorite criticism of Eli is "That defense won those Superbowls" in 2007 the Giant's defense was ranked 17th in the league, and they were ranked 20th in 2011... granted the defense stepped up when it mattered, but Tuck didn't throw the game-winner to Plax, and Big Mike didn't zip that dime down the sideline to Mario... give the man the credit he deserves.
@@jeffsmith3001 SO WE CAN SAY THE SAMETHING FOR TOM BRADY ADAM VINATIERI AND THE PATRIOTS DEFENSE WON THE SUPER BOWLS FOR THE PATRIOTS TOM BRADY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT
Eli will always hold a special place in my heart because he beat Brady and the Patriots twice and even messed up their perfect season but he is not a hall of famer. If we have to discuss it, a player more than likely doesn't belong. When a player is a hall of famer, we already know it while they are still playing...a no-brainer.
What greatness? Outside of 2007 and 2011 Eli was the definition of average. The New York Giants DEFENSE won those two Super Bowls....not eli. The giants scored a total of 38 points in both games.
You can say whatever about Eli but one of Manning’s Super Bowls is allllll defense Eli was great bc he led a wild card team to a super bowl win you need and great qb to have a great season
Yes, He was clutch and he won when he had to, He has had a trash lien for the last 6 years, but before that he was a very good QB who had some great seasons. He also beat some great Patriots teams to earn his SB MVP awards.
TJ Houshmandzadeh fabricating a time when he was awarded an All-Pro lmfao TJ was a Pro-bowler once, but never All-Pro. Pretty sad that he felt the need to make himself seem like his career is better just so he can criticize Eli

I’m an eagle fan and come on Eli has got to be a hall of famer 2 rings of course but I think the super bowl MVP is the key . Mcnabb was a winner in philly but come playoffs and clutch moments that’s what separates good from great
I’m a pats fan and even I have to say that Eli is a hall of fame qb . He won 2 Super Bowls against the best team of the last 2 decades ; the New England Patriots . He was the mvp of both super bowls .30 other teams could not do that . He’s a hall of fame qb even if it hurts me to say it . I can’t hate on him anymore , I used to but you can’t hate on someone doing their thing , and I’m less sour now lol
Brett stop using stats to compare across generations. Passing is completely different today than yesteryear. Those guys you mentioned were all in the conversation for top 3 players at their position for multiple years. You need to compare Eli to his contemporaries and when you do, he was MAYBE top 5 for 2-3 out of 16 years. Brady, P. Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Favre and Wilson were all better and you'd have to make an argument over guys like Ben, Rivers, Romo and Luck
🤦♂️ the comment is saying that Peyton Manning stopped Brady from getting to the super bowl more than he did, and Eli stopped Brady from winning more rings than he already has.
Kurt Warner was a completely different situation Kurt Warner won one Super Bowl had 2 League MVPs was an all pro when to 3 Super Bowl’s and won one of them. Kurt Warner in his short window had more than enough to be put into the Hall of Fame.
It took a while for Warner to make it. He was a borderline candidate because didn't play with sustained excellence over time. That Super Bowl run with the Cardinals pushed him over the top.
I'm an old ( 73 ) Eagles fan and agree with you, when it got tough Eli got tougher. Sandy Koufax only had a hand full of good year too but nobody disputes his getting in the MLB hall.
Yes he will. His two wins against Brady in the SB's will get him cuz it's legendary how he beat the GOAT not once but twice. Especially when NE had that undefeated season going into the SB that year. Plus Eli being the MVP in both SB wins will get him in. Plus he has excellent QB passing stats and records as a Full-time retired NY GIANT. HOF for sure - enough said
*Players Eli has played with:* Michael Strahan Jeremy Shockey Tiki Barber Saquon Barkley OBJ Shaun O'Hara David Diehl Steve Smith Victor Cruz Jason Pierre-Paul Brandon Jacobs Osi Umenyiora Plaxico Buress Amani Toomer Ahmad Bradshaw Hakeem Nicks Justin Tuck
The fact that you have to ask, and their is a serious debate as to rather or not he is,...says it all. Is Brees, Is Rogers HOF qbs. Both qbs with less SB wins than Eli. His body of work says average. He's the greatest average qb ever. He'll get in because people hang their hats on those SB wins, but most importantly his name made him a sure thing. His stats are impressive, but hallow. They're a byproduct of his most amazing accomplishment, the consecutive starts.
Eli 's's father Archie Manning is in the Hall of Fame and he should not be there because he was the quarterback of the New Orleans Saints who were the originators of the brown paper bag "New Orleans "Aints" fans because the Saints were the worst NFL team in the league every year Archie Manning was quarterback but because he's a Manning, Eli will be inducted simply because of his father's NFL politics and brother Peyton Manning as the so called and self annointed, "First Family" of the NFL. Eli Manning. A game managing quarterback who had two lucky throws and two lucky catches on two Super Bowls that garnered him two Super Bowl MVP's when it was anybody on that Giants defense stopping the New England Patriots in two different Super Bowls who should have gotten the MVP's instead of Eli Manning. It's all about the Payton family politics with daddy Archie pulling all the strings for his two quarterback sons when he himself, should have never been in the Hall of and because he just wasn't good enough and one of the biggest losing NFL quarterback's in NFL history.
It actually took a bit more than 2 lucky throws. Being as his team came out of the wild card spot and/or without a bye each time they webt through the playoffs and knocked off the patriots. His post season win% as a result was also pretty darn good as a result of that.
Two lucky throws, two great catches (Tyree and Manningham) Plexico Burress (Super Bowl game winning catch) and two great NFL defenses led by Michael Strahan that carried game manager Eli Manning and got the job done in the playoffs and took care of New England Patriots twice in both Super Bowls.Trump 2 lucky throws. That's all Eli Manning will ever be known for, that's his entire resume highlights, his NFL career legacy, he was never that guy at quarterback that scared NFL defensive coordinators who had to stay up late at night working to prepare for and during the regular season, he was just average. That's why all these NFL football experts are highly questioning of Eli Manning deserves to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 5 old and not one has said that he is a first or second ballot or third ballot inductee....they are all saying that he's not deserving but because of Daddy Archie's NFL politics, Eli will certainly get in.
Eli Manning was a game manager with the last name Manning that have him instant credibility in the NFL because of his father Archie and brother Manning and as I stated earlier, he only has two bbq things that he will be remember for; two lucky throws in the Super Bowl and two of the greatest catches on Super Bowl history that was all about the wide receivers skills than the throw themselves and if it wasn't for those two great catches and the great defenses against the New England Patriots in two different Super Bowls, Eli Manning is no Super Bowl rings and no Super Bowls MVP's. What else has Eli done in the NFL that's memorable because those two lucky to be caught Super Bowl throws throughout his NFL career? Nothing at all, not one single thing and that's why the debate is highly questionable and ongoing about him getting into the Football Hall Of Fame even though Daddy Archie and big brother Peyton will make sure that he gets in. .500 (117-117) NFL quarterback record is not hall of fame worthy.
Just over his career the better qbs have been: Brady, peyton, brees, favre, rodgers, ben, wilson, luck (without getting into the newer generation). Not once was he EVER considered a top 5 qb. He has 2 great playoff runs... that’s great. Wiley keeps talking about the consecutive starts. HE WAS STARTING EVERY GAME AND THEY STILL MISSED THE PLAYOFFS OVER HALF THE TIME. That says something!
HE IS DEFINITELY NOT A HoF. Those Super Bowls are literally the only argument. The only one. He’s going to get in just because he’s a Manning and he played in New York. It’s a shame really.
"Dan Fouts is a better QB than Eli." Dude has almost a 1:1 TD:INT ratio, that's literally Jameis Winston tier and they make fun of him for that every time they mention is name.
Dan Fouts played in a completely different league than the league that Manning played in. He led an air raid offense in a league that for the most part was running the football, and if it wasn't 300 degrees below zero in Cincinnati against the Bengals in the AFC title game, he would have a Super Bowl appearance.
@LycanVonWolf I beg to differ.... respectfully to you and Plunkett. Eli beat historically great NE teams against without question the greatest QB of all time. Dramatically both times.... Plunkett although a SB winner beat Jaws and Joe Theismann.... also Eli finished top 10 in every QB statistical category all time. Let's not go down the Plunkett road. If I had a vote Jim would be in as well for the record....but their wins are not the same.
Every game matters at the time it's happening. It's easy to look back and say "oh just the superbowl/playoffs matter" but when these guys are playing regular seasons they're playing to be in the most important games, which means that at that time those were the most important games. Eli is a Nick Foles that had a chance to be a starter for many years. Which means that all Nick has to do is manage to stay healthy and be mediocre for the rest of his regular seasons to get in the HOF.
The Giants did not win SB’s because of Eli. They won because of great defenses and absurd catches. (Catches that had to be absurd because they were bad/dumb passes.) He’s not a HOFer.
Eli's play in the playoffs and the regular season, especially in 2011 was a big reason for them getting them into the playoffs. Instead of objectively assessing a player's merits, using facts and past precedents of the players and others who have made it into the HOFer, one comes up with different narratives. Wiley gave a table that compared Eli's win loss record with those of Namath, Fouts, and Moon all HOFers. If they are in, as a two time Super Bowl winning MVP he is in too.
he played in the most competitive era ever with no weapons against these guys, TB12(the GOAT), drew brees (all time tds and all time yards), brett farve, aaron rodgers, big ben, russell wilson, mcnabb, vick, romo, matty ice, warner. Theres so many more
I am an Eagles fan. And I'd hate to say this, but Eli is definitely a HOF. If you can TB in 2 super bowls the "G.O.A.T" of the NFL than yes. EM: Passing yards:57,023 TD-INT:366-244 Passer rating:84.1 SB appearances 2-0 PM: Passing yards:71,940 TD-INT:539-251 Passer rating:96.5 SB Appearances 2-2
Aside from the two SB wins and SB MVP's, he does own most of the franchise passing records. That might put him over the top. Maybe not first ballot, but he'll more likely than not get admitted.
Absolutely not.... That guy was the turnover king... #12 in interceptions, and what Hall of Fame quarterback got benched his last couple of years in his career?
Sidenote: Arch Manning was Max Preps National Freshman of the year. Just happens to be the grandson of Archie Manning... the Manning legacy continues....
This panel has seemed to miss something that what it is to become a Hall of Famer and it comes down to one word...CONSISTENCY! To become a Hall of Famer, you have to become great at your craft year in and year out. Your greatness through your craft has to be CONSISTENT as well as using that consistency to elevate your teams for CONSISTENT success. Players like Tom Brady got better at his craft and became great at it CONSISTENTLY, which elevated his team’s success for 20 years. That is a measure of a Hall of Famer. Eli Manning and those guys below him shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame. All of what is heard on this panel when it comes to being a Hall of Famer are MOMENTS! Moments get you recognized. Moments shouldn’t get you into the Hall of Fame!!🤷♂️
Why should the goal posts be shifted to exclude a two time Super Bowl winning MVP who is in the top 10 in passing touchdowns and passing yards in his career when there have been those who are in the Hall of Fame who have very similar stats in terms of wins? People talk about different eras for Moon, Fouts, and Namath to criticize Eli's stats, but if they are going to bring up regular season winning records and attribute major responsibility for them to the QBs and those three are in the HOF, then Eli who has better post season stats than them and is a two time Super Bowl MVP then belongs in the HOFer.
Musa Fawundu because he wasn’t consistent throughout his entire career. Had he been winning on a consistent basis putting up great numbers and leading is franchise, it would be a no-brainer even if he never made it to the Super Bowl. Is he going to be in the Hall of Fame? Yes! Does he deserve to be based off what I said? No!🤷♂️
Eli doesnt deserve to be in the Hof. He wasn't even in discussion as a top 5 quarterback playing during his playing career with players he played against. Brady, Ben, Brees, Rodgers, Farve, Warner, and P, Manning. He is Joe Flacco with a longer career and one more ring. I can't believe he is even in the discussion. Was he ever once consider the best QB for even one regular season. What did he ever lead the league in statistically in a regular season besides pick?
So you have to be considered the best to be successful in the NFL right? You know Aaron Rodgers been considered the best for 10 years now got one ring. Labels dont get you accolades production do.
First ballot HOF player - SB's, Stats, Best player in the league / Second Ballot HOF - Best player in the league stats and/or SB's / Third Ballot - HOF Top 5 player in the league, Stats / 4th Ballot HOF - Top 5 player - SB's / 5th Ballot HOF - There isn't one your not in. "Its not the hall of very good", The Bar is set when you play, your not compared to previous generations, your compared to the generation you played in , Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Drew Breez, Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Phillip rivers at one point these player made up the top 5 every year, Eli wasn't one of them, hes in the Joe Flaco, Nick Foles, the carried by the team , got hot for 5 games crowd - that's the Hall of very good, not the HOF.
He was a major factor in two Super Bowl winning teams, and played in the regular season during all those runs as well. He was the Super Bowl MVP twice. He never missed a game through injury. He is the top 10 for passing yards and TDs. Flacco only went to the Super Bowl once, and Nick Foles did not play through most of the regular season. And also their longevity does not compare to Eli Manning's. Try and find a better comparison, man.
The difference is, is that those QBs were considered the best in the league for a period of time during their time. Eli was never considered a top 10 or top 15 QB in the league. It take Philip rivers over Eli any day
I rolled my eyes when that clown said that. Patriots....best dynasty ever? Not the Celtics, not the Yankees, not the Bulls, not the Canadiens (for the hockey fans)??? Let's be real, the Patriots were three years removed from their last SB when the G-Men beat them the first time. And they were four years removed the second time. I don't even think they can be labeled as a dynasty in the late 2000's. Sure they had Brady and Belichick, but hardly the same teams.
RKsolid5586 lol they went to 5 out 10 Super Bowls and won 3. What team was better in that decade then lol And I can’t stand the patriots lol but I’m not in denial. But I am on the fence with the best dynasty ever in all of sports
Imagine a 2-time super bowl MVP being doubted as a HoFer. 9 TDs to 1 INT playoff/super bowl run. 15 TDs, 2 INTs in the playoffs during his 2 super bowl runs. In or out, neither is unprecedented. Jim Kelly is a HoFer, & he went 0-4 in super bowls.
He's arguably top 5. But that's hardly the measure in an era when QBs are much more valuable to their teams. Heck, there are 7 QBs from the 1970s who are in the HOF even though the league was about the running game.
skulletor Kurt Warner won 2 mvp awards, won a Super Bowl, went to two Super Bowls, and has twice as many touchdowns as interceptions And he didn’t make it to the league until he was 28, which cut his career short. That’s not me saying Eli shouldn’t get in. But if the implication is that Warner shouldn’t be in, I don’t agree with that.
Ohh ya he really dominated those two patriots teams scoring 17 and 21 points. Meanwhile Nick Foles puts up 41 on them... Elis defenses in those postseason runs held there 8 opponents to an average of 15.5 pts per game. The most a defense scored in those 8 away games was 20 points. Way to go Eli! /s
@@yeadat3346 impossible? They had several close games that season and he wasn't the reason the team won in 07. The defensive line was. 20 hits on Brady. Strahan after the game said he was surprised Brady kept getting up. When the defense holds an opponent to 14 pts and the offense only scores 17 the defense gets the credit for the W. The only reason a defensive lineman didn't win the MVP was because they all contributed fairly equally. You've got to have a Von Miller type performance to win SB MVP as a defender.

@@yeadat3346 no. What you're talking about are hall of fame moments. Joe Flacco has hall of fame moments to. They're resumes don't equal hall of fame status. Hall of fame quarterbacks should have so many accomplishments that when you take away some they'd still be hall of famers. Take Peyton Manning for example. Let's say I take away 3 of his league MVPs and his last SB title. Is Peyton Manning still a hall of famer? Definitely. He still retired number one in most all time stats, won 2 league MVPs, 14 probowls, a bunch of all pros, 1 SB title with a SB MVP. Let's take away just one of Elis Superbowl wins. Is he a hall of famer? No, he's not.
@ Maria Gregg so true and what’s interesting about these arguments is many great players like Chuck Howley, Tommy Nobis and Drew Pearson are not in. Some less deserving got in. Like All-Pro it’s just someone’s opinion. As a Giants fan Cliff Harris may have been the greatest Free Safety I ever saw yet I saw Ed Reed & others go in faster. Eli has two Super Bowl MVP’s & top ten in major statistical categories. The Plunkett comparison by Whitlock is silly because Plunkett never sniffed a MVP trophy in the Super Bowls and his career stats compared to Eli’s don’t even come close...
You can’t compare difference eras and rule sets. Passing yards get more and more inflated as time goes on and the rules become more strict. Eli is, has, and always will be an average starting QB. He was on two teams that had 2 great runs. But it was the defense of those teams that won those SBs. Eli did his job, but he didn’t carry the Giants. His regular season play was “meh” at best. He’ll get in based off his name and the fact he beat Brady, not because he was great.
They change the “criteria” every year to allow or prevent someone from getting in. 2 Super Bowl MVPs should close the book on this debate period! T.O. was a 3rd ballot HOF, so who knows what the standard is anymore? I just wish they would stop asking players with no winning credentials about who should or shouldn’t go into the hall.
300 touchdowns..... 2000 interceptions!!!!! He is a Manning so that's why he gets in. anytime you can tell the NFL where your son is not going to play during the draft then that says it all
@Allen Reynolds Hall of fame is not determined by longevity, you know that. remove 3 SBs Eli is not even in the arguement for HOFer, 2 SBs are the one making him in the convo.
Eli Manning had what I call a fringe HOF career. When you haven't been great overall, but you've had great moments that elevate you status. When you look at him from a being a constant winner's standpoint, he ain't it. And he going to get in because of his Manning (Considered football's royal family) name and the SBs (One being against Tom Terrific and his Perfect Patriots) that he's won. Nothing more, because if you look at his entire body of work, it's not quite HOF worthy. And that what TJ is talking about, and he's spitting facts. But he going to be a HOFer no question! There are too many players already in that haven't had half the success he's had.
Justin Tuck and Strahan was Bradys kryptonite. Justin Tuck said Eli stole his super bowl MVP. None of Brady's teammates would ever say that about him. But yeah he is getting in period lol
Should Eli Manning make the Hall of Fame?
Yes, 2 SB victories over the Pat's. The best in a long time. #BillsMafia
if Joe Namath got into the HoF, then yeah Eli gets in just for the 2 SB wins and MVP against Belichek and Brady led Patriots.
No, because players like McNabb aren’t even being considered, and you’d take him as your QB over Manning. How many other HOF players would get picked over in a draft by so many non HOF players?
👍 It's not a debate!
#elimanninghalloffame
yes. So many factors. I get that it is a borderline call looking at his career. But with his longevity, and (for America) defeating TB12 2x in the big game... he's a borderline yes.

@@lakersfansince1991 they already cheapened themselves letting Namath in. so Eli's Giants stopping the Belichek/Brady Patriots from going 18-0 isnt a monumental moment in NFL history? does anyone even really remember the actual Namath SB other than his guarantee on TV?
sneakapikachu he was the man in the 1960s, he was injured for most of the 70s, and had a great arm with a quick release. Please do some homework before you speak. Not to mention he played in NYC which benefits Eli at the end of the day
There are so many average players in the hall of fame that shouldn’t even be in tbh. The hall of fame is becoming a joke at this point
And they continue to leave Jim Marshall out...
GotAL2Say agreed
Truly is you are right
..my opinion again just my opinion and many will hate this make the hall of fame seperate from the elite ..the elite would be the best at their position for example ...Jerry rice elite wideout...Tom Brady qb ...Lawrence Taylor ..eventually if they get knocked off their top spot they fall into the Hall and the elite remains one player at each position
This is facts. They let pretty much everybody in now. Eli will probably be first ballot while being below average for majority of his career

Whitlock calls Drew Brees one of the GOATs and referred to Sean Payton as the best coach in football all year long and in 14 seasons together they have 6 seasons at .500 or under and only won 1 Super Bowl together.
Bill Brasky so true ! Good point

He's 7th all time in passing yards and passing tds and he's won two superbowls. What else do you want?
I want him to not lead the league in interceptions 3 times. To not have 8 losing seasons in a row. To not get carried by his defense to the superbowl
12th Man Pride 1. He’s a gunslinger like a Brett farve (HOF), you’re going to get interceptions with Eli Manning because he throws into tight windows
2. He was in a bad situation with a terrible offensive line (one of the WORST ever) and no running game.
3. Defense? The defense had 2 sacks against the patriots in 2011 and last time I checked it was Eli who threw the game winning TD and went 83 yards not the defense.
@@enterzync2630 more like inaccurate then gunslinger. His passer rating was average. 117- 117 average. Only 7 winning seasons out of 16. Below average. He getting in because he manning.

C. Cadon I never said Joe Montana I said a hall of fame QB. And if you think he’s inaccurate please watch the entire 2011 playoff run series. All the losses are his fault before 2017, you think? But that omits so much of the narrative. He has so many losing seasons, so many interceptions, was never one of the top 5 qb in the league at any stage. All of his stats just come from longevity. That's like saying if jameis winston is allowed to play for 10 more years, he should be a hall of famer... NO. They are not elite enough.

You need to compare Eli to his contemporaries and when you do, he was MAYBE top 5 for 2-3 out of 16 years. Brady, P.

Two lucky throws, two great catches (Tyree and Manningham) Plexico Burress (Super Bowl game winning catch) and two great NFL defenses led by Michael Strahan that carried game manager Eli Manning and got the job done in the playoffs and took care of New England Patriots twice in both Super Bowls.Trump
2 lucky throws.
Eli was no game manager bro do you watch football
Eric EXACTLY 💯
As a 49ers fan Eli is a hall of Famer...
HE IS DEFINITELY NOT A HoF. Those Super Bowls are literally the only argument. The only one. He’s going to get in just because he’s a Manning and he played in New York. It’s a shame really.

But Fouts became a part of sports media, so..............
@@charlie-obrien And he sucks at it.
I get what your saying but the league wasn't as pass friendly in Fouts' day.
Dan Fouts played in a completely different league than the league that Manning played in. He led an air raid offense in a league that for the most part was running the football, and if it wasn't 300 degrees below zero in Cincinnati against the Bengals in the AFC title game, he would have a Super Bowl appearance.
@@PGO_Gaming It is irrelevant if it was a different era, it's about efficiency. The issue isn't fewer TDs, it is his ratio of TDs to INTs

I learned everything I ever needed to know about men by watching how they react to Eli Manning's success.
Greatness in two big games in 16 years. lol put him in.
The Giants did not win SB’s because of Eli. They won because of great defenses and absurd catches. (Catches that had to be absurd because they were bad/dumb passes.)
He’s not a HOFer.
Never was he a TOP 5 QB IN THE NFL.

Is he going to be in the Hall of Fame? Yes! Does he deserve to be based off what I said? No!🤷♂️
@@trevorgamble6051
He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame when one compared him to others who have gotten in on less than himself.
Wiley I don’t usually agree with you but your completely right
I would put McNabb in before Manning.
that isnt the topic of debate
Stop it, Rivers has never been in the same category as Brady, Manning, and Brees. He's a prime candidate for Hall of Very Good.
The problem is Joe Namath is in...if he’s in clearly Eli is a HOFer on that alone....Eli should get in but in a few years after being eligible.
Getting the Super Bowl MVP from the game that could have capped off the Patriots undefeated run is more than enough to be in the HoF.
Those QB comparisons by Wiley were the best points made. By those merits, Eli is a HOF.
The difference is, is that those QBs were considered the best in the league for a period of time during their time. Eli was never considered a top 10 or top 15 QB in the league. It take Philip rivers over Eli any day
HoF QBs Eli is better than
George Blanda
Joe Namath
Dan Fouts
Len Dawson
Bobby Lane
Troy Aikman (If you emphasize numbers)
and Terry Bradshaw
Exactly!
If you were never a top 5 QB in your era you shouldn’t get in.
Dude it was a different game then. They were running the football. Eli was in the throwing era.
Cormel let’s put in context of era and peers
All these men are not even on the show anymore
"best dynasty sports have ever known" WTF is this guy smoking.
Eli Manning could had more pro bowls but the giants organization gave him below average offensive line after the two superbowls for years
Yes of course he’ll get in...and rightfully so
Imagine a 2-time super bowl MVP being doubted as a HoFer. 9 TDs to 1 INT playoff/super bowl run. 15 TDs, 2 INTs in the playoffs during his 2 super bowl runs. In or out, neither is unprecedented. Jim Kelly is a HoFer, & he went 0-4 in super bowls.
Come on Whitlock he hall of famer
TJ was on to something. Can we really even say that Eli was a lock top 5 player of his own generation?
TJ lied about a time he made All-Pro
only thing he's on to is lying on tv
@@KomodoDojo lol yeah not that part.
He's arguably top 5. But that's hardly the measure in an era when QBs are much more valuable to their teams. Heck, there are 7 QBs from the 1970s who are in the HOF even though the league was about the running game.
Kurt Warner's is??
skulletor Kurt Warner won 2 mvp awards, won a Super Bowl, went to two Super Bowls, and has twice as many touchdowns as interceptions
And he didn’t make it to the league until he was 28, which cut his career short.
That’s not me saying Eli shouldn’t get in. But if the implication is that Warner shouldn’t be in, I don’t agree with that.
Ben Mara went to three superbowls
Ben Mara me either the Cardinals run got him in
Kurt Warner was better. What’s your point? That’s like saying Dan Marino’s in the HOF but Phil Simms isn’t. Ones just better than the other.
Jacob Palmen My mistake. It was indeed 3
An honorary mention for Tom Couglin who Eli Manning should dedicate his Hall of fame induction to.
Respect eli he didnt just have 2 great seasons he had 2 CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆 🏆 Seasons!! Against a dynasty with a brady in his prime!! Respect the man !!
@@coldwinter5428 your a stat guy. Im a facts guy. The fact is eli won 2 sb mvp in a time it was impossible to beat the patriots
@@coldwinter5428 yes it was impossible to beat the pats back then are we just gonna ignore the fact the patriots were gonna have a perfect season giants ruined it eli slipped in the pocket and hit buress for a killer catch to win the first sb. Patriots went on like 10 straight afc championship games and ran the afc for 10 plus years he beat brady and belichik the legends the best ever he beat them twice in the biggest stage eli was not flashy but he was cold and mistake free in the bihgest stage he is defenitely worthy of a hall of fame jacket don't get it twisted because he wasnt a flashy. Or talked too much type of player
He's getting in regardless to what these men say thanks for a profound speech today Eli I can't believe it's over, never will forget
The Plunkett comparison by Whitlock is silly because Plunkett never sniffed a MVP trophy in the Super Bowls and his career stats compared to Eli’s don’t even come close...
ccth22 absolutely you made some validated points! You should be hosting this show..
He's definitely a Hall of Famer wtf? Lol
So he should be in but not McNabb? It’s a joke
He’s like the 8th best qb of his era, he will be in the hof but the hof is basically a longevity test nowadays
McNabb isn’t even being considered so that’s my point in bringing him up
Absolutely!
T.R.U. Louisianimal can’t be letting in good players into the hall of fame. It’s meant for the greatest.
Eli didnt win those superbowls, the Giants defense did ..
I think that’s the line, if you haven’t been an all-pro than no.
Wiley is honestly becoming laughable now like is he even being serious anymore?
He's dumber than a sack of hammers.
Whitlock mailing it in 'Jim Pluncket Jim Pluncket Robert Horry' thanks for sharing
Lol bringing up QBs from a different era lmao
That’s how you know Eli is trash.. when you’re comparing him to QBs from the 60s 70s and 80s
Brian Gosvener so like comparing lebron to different player like Larry bird and Michael Jordan ????? What’s that’s makes lebron trash to?
They change the “criteria” every year to allow or prevent someone from getting in. 2 Super Bowl MVPs should close the book on this debate period! T.O. was a 3rd ballot HOF, so who knows what the standard is anymore? I just wish they would stop asking players with no winning credentials about who should or shouldn’t go into the hall.
Easy Hall of Famer. They need to stop. Look @ his Numbers too.
UnexpectedWonder never was a top 7 QB in the league. He had two good playoff runs and a mediocre career outside of that.
300 touchdowns..... 2000 interceptions!!!!! He is a Manning so that's why he gets in. anytime you can tell the NFL where your son is not going to play during the draft then that says it all
If it's in the word He gets in for 2 SB wins and 2 SB MVPs. Any Qb would.
@@curtzeek8818 so if Foles gets to win anorher SB and SBMVP he is in?
@Allen Reynolds Hall of fame is not determined by longevity, you know that. remove 3 SBs Eli is not even in the arguement for HOFer, 2 SBs are the one making him in the convo.
No QB will ever replicate what Eli Manning has done.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Eli is not a Hall of Fame QB
He is NOT a HOF QB and his numbers don't lie and it's the sad truth that He will be in the Hall Of Fame simply because his last name is Manning.
There are too many players already in that haven't had half the success he's had.
drkdze Agreed
Eli is the goat killer, Tom Brady's kryptonite. His story is important to the history of football.
Justin Tuck and Strahan was Bradys kryptonite. Justin Tuck said Eli stole his super bowl MVP. None of Brady's teammates would ever say that about him. But yeah he is getting in period lol
