just bought one and hooked up to my pioneer receiver in 2 minutes. now I can listen to all my music on my laptop through my home stereo and it sounds awesome. highly recommend!
I have a question when you plug the power Does it connects automatic. I am planning to use it in my car.when I start the car I don't have to push the power button since the power cable is connected so does it conecct automatic if I start the car?
hi I was wondering could I plug the Optical Connection directly into my LG 4K LED TV and then plug my Bose 2.1 computer system speakers in through mini 3.5mm jack and used it as a way to play all of my audio coming from my TV out through bose 2.1 speakers? I'm basically trying to find a way to get all audio out of my TV that only has Optical and RCA into my mini jack speaker system not really going to use the Bluetooth function that much thanks. one last thing every time I plug in any RCA to mini jack plug no audio comes out, so I'm looking into coming out of optical to some kind of receiver/converter
How fast does it connect to a already paired device if the adapter is turned off then on? I want to install this in my car which doesn't have Bluetooth already
hello I am a music teacher and i have a ipad band .so one ipad would play bass another play piano another play violin etc. what I am looking for is a audio blue tooth receiver that can capture all my ipads like a mixer and then connects by cable to an amplifier and allows me to control the volume of each tablet. Can the boss bluetooth audio reciever do this or do you know of a product that can do this ?
+Valorie Wilkinson no power switch so yeah it has to be unplugged u can either unplug it from the powerpoint. Or from the adapter itself which i have done. Which it had a powers switch though
Nice video. I have the cinemate15 and can't figure out how to keep it hooked to my TV while choosing to play through my Bluetooth without having to unplug the TV connection. :/ should I assume I will have to disconnect the TV optical wire when I want to use the Bluetooth? I have both plugged in at the same time thinking the remote control would of allowed Me to choose between the two.
You might want to try an audio input selector. You would connect your TV and Bluetooth to it and that would connect to your cinemate. You would just have to simply select manually which audio source you want to use without having to be plugging and unplugging the connections. I hope this helps.
I’ve been looking for this adapter for the last two weeks. Bought the Bose wave system IV and I can’t get it anywhere on the website. Have any suggestions? Send me a link please thank you.
Nice review, question, can i connect my bose bluetooth headset to this adapter and listen to audio coming from the TV if i connected the adapter to a tv with optical cable? ..
I'm not sure it will work. The first issue would be trying to pair them. The other, as far as I'm aware, is that this device is an audio receiver, not a transmitter. It works just like your headset. It's designed to receive music from a source like your cellphone. I hope this helps.
I don't think you can use this device as a transmitter. It's primary design is as a receiver. Meaning to say, if this is connected to your TV, this will not transmit the sound to your other bluetooth sound system.
Simply connect this Bluetooth device using either the analog or optical connection to the Bose Cinemate Series 2. The "optical" input/output is a "digital" way of connection. Others prefer this for it is supposedly gives a higher quality sound. Others don't like them. It's up to your preference. But the option is provided for you.
If you meant Bose Cinemate 15 home theater system, then yes it should work with it as well. You have the optical or the analog connection to choose from.
I have a bose soundlink air. is it necessary to use a bose bluetooth adaptor or can I use a logitech wireless adaptor? .I mean the quality is affected by the branch of the adapter ?
I'm so glad I saved my stereo system, it took a long time even though I have all the new stuff, but damn I,m going to BAM the creature that lives next door!
thank for the reply. i have been searching online in the UK BUT HARD TO FIND THIS MODEL. DO YOU KNOW ANYWHERE IN UNITED KINGDOM WHICH HAVE STOCK OF THIS ? YES I MEANT THE BOSE CINEMATE. 15. THANKS
I'm from the US so I'm not sure how the search for online shopping works there in UK. I bought this through Amazon.com and they have several sellers there. I'm not sure if they ship internationally though.
Hello trying to get sound out of the TV and listen to it using Bluetooth headphones is this possible with this device, my wife likes to stay up late and I need to get my sleep. Is this device made for this?
Also, if you are still looking, I think you need a Bluetooth transmitter or transmitter/receiver. I just got an Avantree Saturn Pro 2-in-1 (two transmitter receivers) which you can transmit or receive on two different devices, plus, if you pair the two just to transmit, it will give you really quick latency for your Bluetooth headphones. There are also other single transmitters which will let you use two sets of bluetooth headphones at once.
I believe the Bose Wave System has its own Bluetooth adapter. But if you really want to use this Bluetooth adapter, as long as the Bose wave system have a auxiliary audio input connection available, this will work just fine.
Henley Merrill Hi I'm trying to figure out what type of set up your trying to put together when you ask this question. Can you please clarify what you want to accomplish with your Bose Bluetooth Headphones, LG TV, and also I'm assuming this Bose Bluetooth wireless adapter? Did you want to be able to listen to your TV with your wireless Headphones?
I'm not sure if that is possible with these. One issue would be how to sync your headphones with this Bluetooth adapter. Another is that this Bose Bluetooth Adapter is "probably" just a receiver and not a transmitter. In your case you would need this device to work as a transmitter. But this is just my opinion. I've never tried anything like that. There are Bluetooth transmitters out there. I'm sure there's a way to figure it out.
I've seen some here in RUclips. Most people use them for their car. Don't know how good they are though. I don't think Bose makes a battery-powered one.
Yes it can. You need to make sure you either have an a/c outlet adapter that can go into your cigarette lighter power source or a USB adapter for the cigarette lighter for power source. Just make sure that the "power output" if you are going to use a USB adapter is the same as the power output for the wall plug to make sure you supply the Bose Bluetooth with the right amount of power.
If you're trying to use this as a Bluetooth transmitter to send audio from your PS4 to your soundbar it will not work. This is designed to be a receiver only.
this or logitech bluetooth adapter ?? www.logitech.com/en-ca/product/bluetooth-audio-adapter which one do you suggest i am bose fan but just a bit skeptical because of the price
Man I've tried everything! No success. Why? Because in the directions it says to download the app. DO NOT EVEN USE THE APP! IT DOESN'T WORK! Just sinc it directly like you would with any device. And the secret sinc button is on the top of the unit, not on the back( that is the power button). Just letting you all know this so you don't waste an hour on the stupid app. Thanks for this video! I was pushing the power button as a sinc button until I watched this.
it should work. I have the Bose companion 3 from 2009. Use the 3.5mm aux plug in the back or on the control button in front. Currently I am using my Bose to connect an aux to rca adapter cord. Then connecting that to a optical audio converter that goes to my smart tv. Bose works on TV and xbox
I bought a non-Bose device for $16 and hooked it up to my old Bose 321 system. Works perfect.
just bought one and hooked up to my pioneer receiver in 2 minutes. now I can listen to all my music on my laptop through my home stereo and it sounds awesome. highly recommend!
Thanks for sharing your music choices. I've never heard of Vocal Union but now they're at the top of my Playlist.
That sounds really good. Thank you for the review!! Have a very blessed day.

can i connect a transmitter for headphones using the Aux out ?, and optical to receive?
How fast does it connect to a already paired device if the adapter is turned off then on? I want to install this in my car which doesn't have Bluetooth already
will it go to a sleep mode by itself? Can I leave it on constantly? Thanks!
whats the diff between this and the wave bluetooth bose adapter? which costs like 2x more
Is sound suppose to come out of it? I'm confused because I have it hooked to a Bose speaker but I'm not understanding how it different please help me

Nice review...I just have one question. How do you turn it off when not in use? Does it have to be unplugged from the power source???
+Valorie Wilkinson no power switch so yeah it has to be unplugged u can either unplug it from the powerpoint. Or from the adapter itself which i have done. Which it had a powers switch though

I believe Bose stopped making this product. There are several kinds you can find in Amazon. Logitech brand is pretty decent and will work the same.
Nice review, question, can i connect my bose bluetooth headset to this adapter and listen to audio coming from the TV if i connected the adapter to a tv with optical cable? ..

Where can I buy this . Thank you
Can you connect this to the bose Companion 2 Series 3
or 5
Were there additional power plugs (i.e. UK, EU) in the box?
No, not with this one. I'm US based so that's what I received. I dunno if they package those things differently based upon where you live.
Hello great review. Will this work with a Lifestyle 48 Series 3? Many thanks
It should as long as your system has an "auxiliary input" where you can connect the Bluetooth device.
yes it has the white red black etc on the back panel that says aux
Just make sure it says "in or input" and not "output". It will definitely work.
Does this support the bose cinemate 5 the new realease
If you meant Bose Cinemate 15 home theater system, then yes it should work with it as well. You have the optical or the analog connection to choose from.
I have a question does it cut the sound I'm a big Bose freak and I bought an auvio one and it get cutting off
Get it. You will love it. Very good quality
Quick question. Is this device rechargeable? And if so how long can it play before needing to be plugged back in to the power source?
No this device is not rechargeable.
What will it cost i have my bose
I have a bose soundlink air. is it necessary to use a bose bluetooth adaptor or can I use a logitech wireless adaptor? .I mean the quality is affected by the branch of the adapter ?
Logitech will work as well although I don't know the quality of that specific wireless adapter. But I do think Logitech makes very good products.
can you connect to a pc? how?
Great review..well explained. God bless
I'm so glad I saved my stereo system, it took a long time even though I have all the new stuff, but damn I,m going to BAM the creature that lives next door!

You just made me laugh
How much for it?
Whats wrong its not working... I already paired and the phones blue tooth says paired but no sound
does this control the volume on a 1-2-3 series 2?
No, only on a 3,2 1 series.
Is it normal to see pair not connected to play with the smartphone?
sayawka7 When it's connected to the smart phone it should normally say paired.
Does the Bose cut off just asking if it sounds good imma buy one

Hello trying to get sound out of the TV and listen to it using Bluetooth headphones is this possible with this device, my wife likes to stay up late and I need to get my sleep. Is this device made for this?
I believe this device is designed only to receive audio, not to transmit as what you're trying to do. So I'm afraid it won't work.
+pnoy15 thanks for the quick response

does this work on bose wave music system ?
I believe the Bose Wave System has its own Bluetooth adapter. But if you really want to use this Bluetooth adapter, as long as the Bose wave system have a auxiliary audio input connection available, this will work just fine.
Will this connect to sound wave II ??
It should as long as it has an auxiliary input.
Can I connect this to my Samsung tv and make my tv Bluetooth?

Is there one with a rechargeable battery

question can i used this in my car stereo
yes, it is the best Bluetooth adapter you can buy. i bought mine a couple of weeks ago, love it.
+Desta Yohannes hey dude are u sure u can use it on the car when connecting it through the aux then using bluetooth

www.logitech.com/en-ca/product/bluetooth-audio-adapter

Logitech makes good products as well. I have not tried that specific wireless receiver but I think it will do the job just as well.
I'm guessing BOSE no longer makes this product.
What is the cost?
I don’t think Bose makes this any longer.
Why aren't we seeing what you are talking about? The picture is stagnant.
