I reached my breaking point with Amazon and bought the Kobo Color Libra 2 just last week. After a big tech learning curve, I got all my ebooks on to my Kobo and I’m in love. I can annotate, I can check out from my library, it’s awesome! And I can truly be done Amazon, which makes me feel so good! 🎉 And as one of your other commenters said, NO ADS!
Yeah, I am going to still buy the kobo libra color. The functionality and repairability alone make it a better device, and the price is the icing on the cake.
I have to say I am so happy I did not wait and purchased the Kobo Libra color. Love my Kobo and the buttons. The colorsoft is cute but for the price not enough features.
I think it’s way too expensive! The kobo Clara color is only 150$. Also, you can annotate on the kobo libra color…. I don’t think I’ll be purchasing the colorsoft at least not for a long time.
It is too little, too late for me. I need page turn buttons and a compatible pen for note taking and annotating. I think I will probably turn to Onyx or Bigme so I can still access Kindle books but can also use other ebook retailers as well.
Kindle is better for KU, the Kobo version is HORRIBLE , in my opinion. Kobo is actually the same if not a little more because the pen is purchased separately. Good luck!
It depends. I'm waiting for a Kindle that gives the same experience as the Kindle app on my iPhone. Just yesterday, I had to abandon my Kindle and open the same book on my phone to see the emojis that were written in the book with the text messages the two main characters sent to each other. On my Kindle, they showed as little identical rectangles, while on my phone, I saw them as they were intended. I want the same experience on my Kindle. Does the Colorsoft solves this problem? If yes, I'll be the first one to buy it!
I'm sticking with my Kobo Libra Colour. I like the UI and how Metadata is handled better with Kobo. For the price, it seems like a Boox Go Color 7 givez you more bang for your buck.
I was waiting for Kindle to come out with their color device, but I could NOT wait and with the help of your videos, I ended up going with the Kobo Libra Color. I have to say… I was SHOCKED at this Kindle announcement but have no regrets. I think Kobo still takes the win in terms of price and functionality (annotating features, page turn buttons, UI, and… NO ADS).
@@anotherbibliophilereads What? Everything should have a return window. Where is the customer satisfaction? Email customer service that something hotter came along! 😂
@@M-JYeah, I’m returning the Boox, especially after trying the Kobo and Libby apps. A very glitchy device. I will put up a review video. I ordered the color Kindle too.

@@ashleycristineeee I agree with you! Kobo is where it’s at for me with color annotating.
I got a kobo libra color and I’m so happy I did. For the price it’s much better device than kindle colorsoft
I totally agree!
Seriously? It’s not even out. How bout let’s see.
Pre ordered the colorsoft. I just enjoy the Amazon eco system but agree with others it’s hefty in price. Get that 20% trade in discount
Great! I traded in my old Paperwhite and did the same thing.

@@LynnetteReads I get that!
I getting the Kindle Colorsoft. Does Kobo have the better price, YES. But Kindle has all the books I want ethereal through KU or just cheaper

No I'm happy with my 2021 paperwhite no need for color to read books as book print is black
I totally get that. I traded in my old black & white Paperwhite for the new model. $65 off is $65 off.
Gimme!!!!
@@Reckoner47 lol
They keep dropping the ball with not offering page turn buttons .. my next ereader will def bo a kobo libra or a boox Go color 7..
I totally get that and have zero complaints about the Kobo Colour.
Kobo all the way! Done with Amazon…
Nice!
I love that they named it Colorsoft. Look -- the color is sort of muted and underwhelming. We told you so in the name. No complaints from you!
Spot on marketing!

That is a great question. We won’t know until after it’s released on 10/30. I think I’m sticking with my Kobo.
