Spent many a day myself in the boat with shirt off and catching "a few rays". Paid the price a few years ago with the diagnosis of malignant melanoma. Would recommend you cover up with uv protective clothing while on the water...wish I had.
Hey Tom, I been watching you for a couple weeks now and your tips have helped put me on more fish then I ever have before. Big thanks. Do you sell merchandise? Would like to get some to help support your channel. If you don't maybe something to think about.
Tom how about a Tom talk on your boat set up? I have a Lund pro v 1660 with a 50 honda 4 stroke and have an old Raytheon fish finder. Soon to purchase a new humminbird and trolling motor so i can network and spot lock. Just a thought. Thanks love your videos.
Thanks again Tom for another awesome video I’m waiting to have surgery on my back and just rewatch your videos I still wanna go fishing with you sometime soon..
Excellent video once again! Great content and detailed description of exactly what you’re doing. Thanks Tom. Best fishing channel on RUclips hands down!! 👍🏼
Tom, An Abundance of knowledge as always... even as I fight the wind .... you are extremely enjoyable to watch and keeping it simply to the point so we can understand and use each technique you share with us... Thank You Tom Talks!?? I am out west and my local Walleye Waters are Narrow Canyon Reservoirs with mostly rock and silty sand bottoms., Do you have any tips on little to no weed areas and which power technique would be most effective including The Slip Bobber! on located fish which always seem to be moving? Thanks
The sheer amount of quality content you are pumping out lately is super impressive! So impressive that you should think about taking a day off and addressing those tanlines buddy lol
Can you show us how you rig your slip bobber setups? Looks like you had sizeable weight up the line a bit. Do you then use a bare hook, or still a jig? Thank you very much Tom! Great stuff in a platform that's fun to watch!
I just asked about this, hah! Coincidence or not, that was great! I immediately picked up a few things that are going to help me in the boat. Thanks Tom
Tom Talks: have heard you say before you don't care much about color on your spinner vs size and speed, would enjoy hearing your take on color in general - be it the color of jig under your bobber, your spinner, when to try a different color vs different presentation all together, etc. Thanks for the brilliant content
Tom how do you have your side imaging transducer mounted to your boat or trolling motor I need to use my main motor to search so I can’t put the transducer on the trolling motor but then when I find the fish I need to keep locating them with the trolling so now I want it on the trolling motor?
Hey Tom, now that summer is pretty much here. A lot of us start pulling out the bottom bouncers and trolling deep. For those that don't have side imaging but regular sonar, any tips so you're not fishing blind? Where would be the best bang for your buck concentrating efforts.
As always excellent video. I’m so used to you being all bundled up I thought I was on wrong channel... so, I’m getting ready to spend a small fortune on jigging raps. My lake’s main forage is elwife. What size do you recommend and also are your acme hyper rattle models worth the 9.99 a piece? You spoke on your video about their durability but I also seen you beat the brakes of em on Rapala’s. Thanks Tom
I ordered a Piscifun 2000 and did not use it for about 3 weeks. The handle was binding up a little from start and got progressively worse quickly. I'm trying to return it for a refund but their website switches to Chinese when a return address is requested; any suggestions? Larry Barnes
Tom Talks: How to gauge your bite windows without exhausting yourself being on the water before sun up and after sunset? Also it would be cool to see some stuff out of the boat. Like some shore fishing tips and tricks, heck I know there's some sweet brook trout spots in the area too. Love your videos because of the info but I also think you have some great entertainment ability (looks up fidget spinner with the vacation boys video) just saying.
Hey tom maybe on tom talks what kind of transducer do you use one your boat is it the standard helix 12 transducer or do you upgrade it? I tried your settings and I can get my helix 12 to mark the fish as detailed.
Man I love your videos.. what depths should I be fishing at on average in the lake Michigan lagoon? Just learned about the thermocline and dead zone. I've been fishing there twice and only can catch rock bass on the rocks. Any tips?
I learn something new on all your videos. Like the idea of running the tiller in low rpm while on spot lock. Would you ever use casting rings or proximity flags rather than driving over the fish?
Best videos on the tube! What about looking at some of the lakes the viewers fish and giving input on where you'd target areas to fish etc etc.. Just a thought. Hey Mitch, do you even lift bro!?!! Haha kidding Good luck fellas!
LOVE the channel Tom, your super knowledgable. I have a question hopefully you will be able to help. Unfortunately I no long have a boat or kayak to get out anymore so I'm stuck bank fishing for the time being. Do your "Boat" methods transfer over to bank fishing?? ..I'm having a hard time getting them in the daylight. I usually use a white 4" twister.. never fails me at night.. Sorry for the long comment keep up the good work
Fish Porn....I can just see the conversation in prep for this happening...after a few rum and cokes, “ Hey Tom you think we could get more views with our shirts off or on? Suns out Guns out: Slip Bobbering eyes” Ha!. Shirts on/off still the most informative fishing channel on RUclips. Would love to see Boley enter AIMS and watch the pro’s looking for points collectively sheet themselves......
Tom I'm looking at getting a new boat. I want a tiller Alumacraft or Lund? Figured you of all tiller guys would have good input. Thanks if you respond.
Hi Tom Hey I'm in the market for a trolling motor with the spot lock feature. I have a 17' deep V A recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Same as Kelly. If you can afford it get the 24v or 36v. I have a 1675 Lund with the 12v and in big winds it struggles to stay in place. It does work but I’d like to upgrade
Hey Tom....what is your rig you fish from? It seems to treat you well, interested in getting into a similar boat. Thanks for all the great info and videos!
I currently have at 80 phones 24-volt and the spotlight straight up sucks I need it's like plus or minus 50 feet because it's a Gen 2 and there's nothing you can do about it.
There is a columnar bobber stop in rubber/silicone. It is a longer in shape stop than the football shaped ones. I use a size small so it Lay's on spool better. Have you tried that already?
Thanks again Tom for another awesome video I’m waiting to have surgery on my back and just rewatch your videos I still wanna go fishing with you sometime soon..
Keep up the awesome videos man

Tom Talks: More in depth on your slip bobber setups. How you rig, etc. Thanks.
For Tom talks can you talk about your transducer placement for an aluminum boat and how you level yours. Thanks! Love the videos
Can you show us how you rig your slip bobber setups? Looks like you had sizeable weight up the line a bit. Do you then use a bare hook, or still a jig?

Is there a depth that you don’t drive over them - to prevent spooking them? Great tip to directly position boat.
Love the content! How do you find walleyes for a beginner who has basic sonar and down imaging but no side imaging?

How far off the bottom are you setting the slip bobbers? 2-3 feet off bottom?

You should do a boat tour/review.
I learn something new on all your videos. Like the idea of running the tiller in low rpm while on spot lock. Would you ever use casting rings or proximity flags rather than driving over the fish?
Can you please tell me what kind of sunglasses you have.
Tom, You are not fishing slip bobbers too much, As far as I'm concerned you can never fish with slip bobbers too much. Keep the videos coming.
Put a shirt on. Your making us jealous!

Hi Tom
Hey I'm in the market for a trolling motor with the spot lock feature.
I have a 17' deep V
A recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
i have a 17' lund with a 12v 55lb and i REGRET not getting the 24v 80 lb ..... so i would recommend the 80lb
Same as Kelly. If you can afford it get the 24v or 36v. I have a 1675 Lund with the 12v and in big winds it struggles to stay in place. It does work but I’d like to upgrade
@@bigz5262 I had 55 lb 12v that came with my boat. Upgraded to 80 lb 24 v, much better. I have a Lund Explorer.
If your still looking I got a brand new MinnKota ulterra with mega si and mega di 72/112/36 for 2700$
Are these walleye techniques applicable when shore fishing? Any advice?
It's not that windy. Where's the Whitecaps?
Hey Tom....what is your rig you fish from? It seems to treat you well, interested in getting into a similar boat. Thanks for all the great info and videos!
I believe Toms is a 2019 but here are the specs for a 2020. www.alumacraft.com/Alumacraft-Boat.php?id=629
My spot lock seems to really struggle to stay in place with my Minn Kota Terova. Is that normal? It seems like it sways around a bunch around the spot
is it a 55lb ?
I currently have at 80 phones 24-volt and the spotlight straight up sucks I need it's like plus or minus 50 feet because it's a Gen 2 and there's nothing you can do about it.
You have to get a Gen 3 to get what you want.
$1500 for a frustrating motor is what I have.
