DIY Cordless Drill Storage and Charging Station

- In my continuing quest to get my shop organized I choose to make this cordless drill storage station to hang on my French cleat wall. I first sketched out a simple design from what I've seen many others make and went to work building. I found this project very simple to make and like I said in the video I bet anyone with simple tools could build this pretty quick.

Nice looking cordless storage. Brands….What ever has the most tools you can use with the same battery, DeWalt or Milwaukee would be my choice. Can’t go wrong with either.American jobs was how I decided between the two. And what corporation owned the brand.

One night projects are the bomb. Really like how this turned out. When you're done organizing your shop, how about we host you here, and you can organize ours! Our drills are Dewalts, as are most of our cordless tools. We're really happy with them. But we have some more brand variety in the corded tools.

I have had great luck with my Porter Cable drills. My next set though will either be DeWalt, Makita, or Milwaukee. Great project brother!
Seeing all of these great name brands just reminds me that I can be very indecisive! ARGGG...if there was an emoji for me pulling my hair out trying to decide I would insert it here😬😉 In other comments I think I've said that I'll probably just go with whatever is on sale at the time. That’s true, I do like red👍 I used to use Milwaukee tools at a previous job and really liked them. And I like tools on sale too so guess we’ll see😊

Yep, there’s plenty of wood glue holding the French clear piece on as well so it’s not going anywhere 👍 Thanks for watching!👍
The strength is in the glue, the brads are only clamps till the glue sets up, in most cases the wood will break before the glue fails
Very good point👍 Can’t remember who but saw a guy do a test and yep, the wood broke around the glued joint. The glue joint itself was just fine.
Dewalt or metabo
I use Bosch and I think it's because that is what was on sale most of the time. Also why i have a Bosh router and miter saw 😁
I too tend to go for what’s on sale. So really most brands are just fine. So maybe I’ll just see what the best deal is around Thanksgiving or Christmas 👍
@@LTDWoodworks It's odd. I bought my drill and impact set from Home Depot and for a while at least by me it seemed like they stopped carrying their full selection.
Around my area Bosch is in Lowes and not Home Depot. So who knows 🤷♂️
@@LTDWoodworks It's strange. Lowes bought a large Canadain chain here, and the almost promptly closed the Canadain chains to open Lowes.
We have had a number of American companies come in, expand, and close. Best Buy and Target being some of them. I am always skeptical of companies like that when they say nothing will change and then in a few short months they close 31 stores.
