11:00 sorry although it's many years later you skipped the last two buttons. Edit Positions: if you hit it you'll see a gray box below the item and you can drag it to another location. Using the asset block example, if you wanted to have a path going through you'd hit the edit position and move the items to create the path. Randomize, it's just that it will place the items in the block in random positions.
You can tell how tall a building is or height of road by using google earth and looking at the on the lower right of the map at elev, and in options you can switch Unit of Measurement from System Default or Feet, Miles to Meters and Kilometers. Show Lat/Long should be Decimal Degrees if you are using Google Earth for Railworks.
Hi, I’ve been trying to use the Generate distant terrain tool but it doesn’t work for me, it does something but no terrain grows, could you please explain my problem?
For some reason on mine when I place objects on my route and I go to drive on the route a lot of the objects such as (Signals, Buildings, etc...) disappear. Do you know why or how to fix it?
+Antonio Villanueva It could be a couple things. If you are running the game with extremely low graphics settings, some objects will not render. It could also be that your route isn't actually saving. Try raising your graphics settings to the max (or close to it) and see if the objects show up.
Can i make a request for a future episode? Im having trouble on my route. I have been trying to make a train/freight yard but its not straight because the track i use doesnt turn yellow when its straight. Iv have tried offset and making multiple tracks at once but i cant get the switching to work and get all the lines back onto the main line. So if u can maybe make one in a video?
Thank you so much. I have been playin around with my route alot from ur videos. Im kinda new so these videos help alot. Rn i only have a siding and a vey long track piece with a station. Soon to be better. Trying out signals.

Generate terrain also crashes the editor for me too. I think it must be a common problem/bug.

I have tried generating distant terrain but nothing happens. Do I need real world terrain to generate distant terrain? What gives?
How do u have such a good resolution on Google maps overlay?

Wait, are there Washington DC assets available somewhere? I see you’re making a DC section of the NEC.
There’s no D.C route, they are assets compiled from a bunch of DLCs. It’s someone else who’s doing the DC section for this game.

Its Century No problem! I suppose I can create a video showing how to create specific types of rail structures this morning.

Its Century ruclips.net/video/zYc7beVknX8/видео.html I hope this helps.
Its Century Turn snap to track off when you want the track to go straight.
how do I make fence fit to rolling hills?
Noah S. Use the 'snap to terrain' option in the bottom-left flyout.
cActUsjUiCe ok thanks, I wish things like grass groups and fence smoothly snapped to terrain automatically. Some of railworks makes no sense
Thanks Helps Alot.
THX BRO
Well damn somethings broke for me.
Noise just levels terrain no matter what the setting, Generate terrain crashes the game without fail. awsome.
