good video. im having issues with doing this. i have the Steam version of the Wherry Line. Norwich station is electrified but the rest of the line isnt (which is real). however, i want to make the rest of the line electric for my own use. ive tried placing gantries and wired them all up with the tool but still im getting nothing with an electric train when i get out of Norwich station. is there a simple way to fix this?
Great video mate, would have loved if you showed the pantograph actually hitting the contact wire, instead of showing it from the cab view. Also wish you showed the RW tool effect, do you have this problem because you’re using the british catenary for an American locomotive?
After a lot of clicking I have worked out what the problem is. I have laid the track over RWDecal and I cannot get the window to appear. Delete the Decal, or place track on plain ground, and the window will appear.
Hi BrandonI learnt a lot from watching your tutorials. But I cannot work out how you got the angle box to come out at 21 minutes into the video. You select the track, appear to line the mouse up just off the red arrow, and a window pops out on the right of the screen. How do you get this to appear?Garry
How can I had different types of trains one one route? In the Marias Pass I can only place an es44dc and an sw1500. I have purchaced other types of units so how can I place them?
+kenobi ford That's an excellent question. They must have some kind of internal tool or method that they didn't release to the public. Either that, or they are manually adjusting gantry height after placement.
I can't figure out how to get the RW Tools to work. It says it's missing some file or component. I tried reinstalling it, but it doesn't go away. I went as far as to reach out to the creator of it and he couldn't help me. All I need to do is to make Route Markers!!!
Yea it sucks you have to download these .ocx files and register them with the command line. I forget where to get the .ocx files but do some google searching. good luck
Thanks for the help man. I got the ocx files and the program is running. There are other missing ocx files as I go into its other tabs and use them, so I've been downloading a lot. And I also need to figure out how to use this program, I have no idea what I'm doing lol
I have laid out some tracks with electrification set at None, but I want to change it to Overhead Wires (without deleting the tracks). How can I do it.
You have a couple options. 1) Select the track manually with the Select tool and change the electrification type to Overhead Wires. 2) Use RW_TOOLS to do a mass replacement of the electrification type in the files. Option#2 is a lot easier but you need to know what to look for in the .bin files. Good luck.
@@cActUsjUiCe92 How exactly do you use RW tools to do it?? I spent time changing the electrification on all my tracks only to have the game crash just when I was almost done.. I was ready to throw my pc off a cliff
I usually HATE vids mads by kids, but you did a good job on this. You really seem to know the program well.
Head banging stuff, well done, thanks. My first route will be for diesels!
Bob Hatcher Can't say I blame you. It's a huge pain in the ass.
Thanks this really helped
I did the same thing with my Sherman Hill track, and I got no overhead wires

Thank You cactus juice
For some weird reason when I try to teleport it just takes me from green grass to green grass. Can you tell me how to fix this?
Dominic Ureño Is this a new route you are making? If so, all routes start as a blank slate.
Yes.
Oh.
There has to be another way without using RW tools. Then how did the Gamemakers do that without using RW tools?
