I find it funny how there is "intense" music like regular competition shows, but all the chefs are super nice, rooting for each other and wanting everyone to do well, not the usual self aggrandizing or big egos. It's like it should be more like great British bake off vibes rather than top chef vibes.
PLEASE talk more about the ingredients in each dish when tasting them so this can also serve as an informational and inspirational show for non vegans.
I agree, I'd love to see more of their food choices and process too, this old dog is always up for learning new tricks!

Something I know from cooking food professionally for over two decades is that if you want your food to taste better Just add Fresh Herbs, Vegetables and or Meat it's a game Changer for Flavour!!!
I just died and went to heaven, thank you YT algorithm. I LOVE the competition cooking shows, but I CANNOT tolerate the lamb's brains and all the other BS anymore. So thanks for making this! 👏👏👏
People don't realize how easy it is to prepare PlantBasedVegan dishes. It can be both fun and rewarding.
As a Vegan chef; this is wonderful! As a cooking competition shows; all the cooks here are so nice to each other and sharing ingredients; not cut throat or trash talking like those other shows:)`~

Vegan chef? 🤣🤣 all vegan food are side dishes. Worse is all vegan food is bland or ever seasoned to hide the taste of depression.

OMG!!! THANK YOU! Once upon a time, being a vegan that watched "Top Chef" was my "dirty little secret". I enjoyed the show so much that I DREAMED of the day when there would be a vegan version of the show so I wouldn't have to feel so guilty watching it. Today, one of the minor dreams in my life has finally come true! BRAVO to everyone involved in this project. It is SO well done! As a big fan of the original, I appreciate that it follows so closely to the formula of the original show including having a guest appearance to help with judging the dishes. Plus, the high production quality makes it worthy of comparison to the original. BRAVO and THANK YOU to Chef Goodwin and the Top Vegan production team. FANTASTIC JOB YOU GUYS!!! (P.S. Special thanks to RUclips for helping to bring this kind of alternative media to the masses!)

"it's compliplated" is a vegan show, if I re eber correctly, so you could give it a try if you're looking for another show to watch :)

Maybe because all the usual paying advertisers that fund network shows, ... drug companies, animal ag, fast food industry, etc., and make their profits from our addictions and illnesses, would never stand for it, and networks can't afford to take a loss. Follow the money.

this! i used to love watching cooking shows, but seeing people cut up corpses was no longer bearable after having gone vegan. i’m glad this exists
i’m halfway through watching this and this is warming my soul!!! as veganism rises in popularity and creative interpretation, i REALLY don’t want us to lose that down-to-earth (pun intended) vibe that makes plant-based culture so special. i want to see more like this! more regular degular folks w regular jobs, more kindness, more diversity!

I love that the judges wanted more spice more flavor, and I loved all the mushroom dishes, and I loved that they showed contestants being nice to each other vs trying to put them against each other. Some honesty shined through

It's about time! I've been dreaming about this kind of show for nearly 20 years! I have watched cooking shows forever but am always disheartened by their meat-centric perspectives. I'm so tired of the ad-nauseam comments about "beautiful" cuts of meat when talking about the dead flesh of baby animals, the need for every dish to have meat, dairy or eggs in it, and the odd vegetarian challenge that gets judged by literal clowns or stereotypical anti-veg heads like cowboys. The future is plants! Thank you and kudos to Top Vegan for making this show happen.

Yeah, the stigma around veganism is utterly ridiculous for what it is which is to stop animals from being horrifying harmed. Swapping some ingredients and using others not derived from animals is the simplest thing anyone can do
Also, think how restrictive vegan food is…
Now think about how restrictive your own diet actually is! Think how many ingredients you’ve never even tried!
So many people don’t understand the sheer amount of ingredients they can have that makes up amazing meals that simply do not include animals

@@craigo5030 Well said. And it's not only about eliminating the enslavement, torture and murder animals. Worldwide meat/dairy - production agriculture is the most destructive activity on earth. It's the major driver of deforestation and destruction of the Amazon. It's the primary consumer of herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilizers, and it proudces more greenhouse gases than all of the world's transportation system combined. It's destroying the earth.

SO EXCITED FOR THIS! I love cooking competition shows but can't stand seeing the body parts of animals in regular shows like Top Chef so this is heaven sent!!! This show's got all the components to be amazing!

I have been talking about the need for a vegan cooking show FOREVER!!!! I love to cook and before going vegan my favorite TV to watch was cooking competitions and now a days I just find them gross, Thank you all for making this, I hope to see y’all succeed and get even more of an audience.

@@MsAussieSheilaI guess he said that because Pot is plant based, and Some vegan dishes are energetically elevating, and some Vegan recipes include some derivative of pot such as Hemp seeds or non THC cannabis oils.... Edit: Also love that you've got a guest chef who isn't scared of vegan but isn't - He is a good judge of whether a vegan dish is great. A great vegan dish is one that non-vegans also love, and that is how to increase the number of vegan meals eaten.

A vegan is someone who doesn't think animals should be exploited or abused. If you agree with that, then you should become a vegan to align your principles with your life choices!

My husband and I love cooking shows because we love food but we are vegetarian and sometimes vegan… I love cooking. Cooking is like therapy to me. We always talk about how it would be nice to go to a cooking competition but that was plant-based. My dream of watching a vegan cooking show had come true!

Thank you. It's fabulous to have a cooking show where I want to eat everything that was cooked. I just wish the show had spent a few seconds longer showing off each of the final dishes: it was really hard to see some of them from the side perspective.

This is AWESOME! I second the music. Study other food competition shows and how they use the music. I also noticed that the show is a very "cool tone" when it comes to the visuals, which doesn't do the food or the atmosphere justice. It NEEDS warm colors to show off the colors of the food and gives a more appealing atmosphere to the show (food psychology also says it makes people hungrier and desiring the food more which is the goal for vegan food!! ).

I've been waiting so long for this! Unfortunately, I have little faith that the TV syndication route will pan out; it seems like the impasse there is that the advertisers on the big networks are promoting non-vegan foods, and they don't want the shows they advertise on to encourage people to stop eating those foods altogether. You should really consider starting a Patreon to fund the show and just keep doing it on RUclips. Well done. Keep it up!

What is this miracle? A vegan cooking contest! When the camera panned over the ingredients, I saw all the beautiful vegetables instead of dead animals. I plan to be glued to whatever happens in this program. I want more vegan cooking channels/shows. I was a vegetarian for twenty years I'm in my ninth year as a vegan. My only regret is not being vegan sooner.
