About me…. I’m normally hitting the parks or the beach with one of the many detectors I use for metal detecting the beach and fields. Metal Detecting can be fun and at the same time a nightmare due to the way the beach is always shifting, but if you hit it on a good day... BOOM! could be GOLD could be SILVER! Incredible. You can use these videos as a kind of online education but they’re really not! Oh and make sure you’re detecting is legal.

Metal Detecting is a good way of chilling out, its a good bit of therapy, fresh air, long walks. Its also a bit like those unboxing videos you see on youtube because even though you have an idea of what's buried below your feel you're never really sure. I've been Detecting with Deep Digger Dan during his digging the coast 365, that was fun. I used his XP Deus... Very light. I started out using the Garrett Ace 250 and then added a Nel Tornado coil. After that I started using a Nokta Makro Kruzer and some how managed to find so much more on land I thought had been detected to death. Silver coins, WWII badges and bullets and down the beach I've even found GOLD and Silver Rings. In my latest video I've finally found a Roman Coin and A Saxon Strap End. I was told my NM Customer Support via email that the Battery pack that fits the Legend would not fit my Simplex. On arrival of my NM Legend Pro Pack , I took the Battery pack and it had absolutely no issues fitting the arm cuff of my Simplex , including the retention thumb screw. Both the arm cuffs and upper housing shafts are exactly identical. If ordering a replacement arm cuff , most all websites advertise the cuff as a replacement for the Simplex and the Legend. I don’t understand why they would say the battery pack is not interchangeable.
Did you try plugging it in? There may be a different pin configuration inside the wired plug. I know that plug won't fit in my Kruzer.
It'll come in handy, the Legend seems to be a battery hog. Simplex went all day with hardly a dent in the battery. Now I detect a few hours and half the battery is done.
Still happy with it though.
Multi frequency uses a lot more power as does low frequency. If you need more battery life you can switch to mono 15khz and you should get a LOT more battery life. That being said I don't know why the battery drain is so bad. The Deus 2 battery life is also a bit of an issue for those who like marathon hunts. The Nox seems to fair the best of all of them. Had NM just upped the battery capacity a bit in the Legend it would fare much better but I guess they wanted to save weight and size since they used the simplex design.
My battery won’t come out sleeve so I can charge it any ideas please

It is large but honestly it doesn't last as long as the regular battery which is kind of disappointing.
Are you sure the lights turn solid when fully charged ? Because my lights just go out. Did you finish charging it before you made this video ? Thanks
Mine from new is still showing "2 flashing lights charging" after 5 hours?

Me too! It finally stopped after I charged it overnight. But the light just turned off. Not a very good indicator.

Yes but you won't be able to use it with wired headphones.........as it takes up the same plug the headphones go into. I don't know why they did this since the older pack for the Kruzer/Anfibio has a plug for your headphones.
The only thing I don't like about this backup battery is unlike my Kruzer/anfibio backup battery pack(which runs on AAs and makes it superior).........you can't attach wired headphones to the machine once the battery pack is attached. On my Kruzer there is a plug in the battery pack so my wired water headphones(or any wired headphones) can screw into the pack and still be used. That's not possible with the Legend. :/ So essentially it's only a backup pack for land hunters. If you water hunt it's only a portable recharge station which you could purchase on sale anywhere pretty cheap these days. I wonder if my kruzer headphones plug is the same as the LEgend headphones plug? If so I may be able to use the superior older pack on the legend I'd just have o find a way to attach it to the machine. Then again while water hunting you have to pretty much dig almost everything anyway so using the mono frequencies is probably a simple and easy option to double battery live without any backup needed. I hunt fresh water so multi isn't a priority.
Is it waterproof for when the machine is underwater
It’s fine in the rain but I’ve never submerged it
Mine just stays flashing from green to red, I never have got the light to turn solid indicating full charge capacity, wish I knew why
If you're using a charger that's got too low of an output it may be the problem. I heard a few people have solved the issue that way. It could also just be defective...........you may want to get it replaced.
@@MrBottlecapBill Might take it out today a bit, taking a big break from trying to get that update to work, still in version 4.1 or whatever it was, charging it now just the main battery, I noticed the spare battery that I paid the extra for, the wire bends kind of sharp where the female part threads onto the detector, you can actually see the red wires inside because the outer housing is coming lose, wish there was a number to call. I dont even think they warranty the extra spare battery, think i read that. I really gotta get that update to work too, but its like a dead end
@@getoutsidenow420 Make sure you download the latest update software as well and don't use an older updater for he newer versions.

Clearly you decided not to watch it thoroughly, but then don‘t be lazy and ask about contents of the video when you can just watch it yourself dude!
I assume it depends on the age of the simplex+. I just purchased a legend with the external battery pack and the battery fits in my simplex+ without any issues. But it may not fit every one as Nokta don't list it for the simplex+. If the opening in the arm cuff is basically rectangular then it won’t fit.
Like what carbonmaverick says, it depends if it's the newer simplex+. I have a simplex+ and it worked out great.
@@Elektrotechniker. Don’t be so hasty to judge. I own a Simplex and also the Legend Pro Pack and the arm cuff and the console upper shaft are identical. The first thing I did was put the battery pack into the Simplex and it fit perfectly, including the retention thumb screw. I was told it wouldn’t fit but it does. I thought it was strange that websites advertise the replacement arm cuff as Simplex/Legend .
No USB-C? Really??? Damn, thats slow.... Could be fast charging when they made it USB-C.
