I just came across your channel and very much like how you present the material, play it, explain it, play it slow. I am new to Blues Bass, so in 1 course you have helped me. Thank you.
Hey Scott, as a beginner bass player, this lesson is terrific. I love the way you break it down. I can't seem to get the PDF for the patterns, but I'll email you. Cheers.
#12barbass. Hey Scott I took up the bass 3 years ago and through the local music shop found myself introduced to a local blues band that we’re looking for a bass player. I had no experience but they liked me and patiently waited for my skills to improve until we eventually gigged. Terrifying experience for me but it didn’t kill me. Absolutely love the experience and the learning of the blues. My favourite song we play is Stormy Monday in the style of Allman Bros with Berry Oakley on bass. Cheers mate my blues bass story continues. Love your channel. Rod
Thanks for that, Rod - great story there and love how much you're enjoying the journey. That's the 2nd comment mentioning Allman Bros btw! Stormy Monday - great tune to play!! Thanks again - glad you're enjoying the channel,. Rod. Scott.
#12barbass. I play bass in a cover blues band. one of my fav bassline is Someday after a while (joe Bonamassa version). I consider myself as a débutant, even if I began to play bass 30 years ago. this kind of video tells me I know some tricks and makes me discover new ones. So I thank you (ZZ Top version) Scott!

What is that p bass you’re playing there @scott
It's a Richwood with a Seymour Duncan vintage pickup. Really cheap but nice copy. I have Thomastik flats on it.

I do not see it at all , I looked under lesson library. a lot of blues pdf's. Nothing about this lesson called 5 easy 12 bar bass patterns
12 bar is traditionally a warm up jam format at band practice for us before getting stuck into the session. #12BarBass
Can't fault a good ole jam over a 12 bar!! :)
#12barbass I used these type of tips to play Allman Brothers Statesboro blues
Cool! Allman Brothers - ace!
@@ScottWhitley in a cover group…. I wasn’t in the actual band 😮
No - thought that! I just meant that playing their stuff is ace. :)
@@ScottWhitley thanks 😸
