500ml of nitric is a bit excessive brother in some countries the price of the nitric is more than the gold recovered. Awesome video have you tryied releasing the foils with hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide takes 100 hours but costs penny's. Awesome episode brother

For hard to find nitric areas, you need to consider local laws and if you can make it from your copper nitrate waste solution. Omegageek has a video more related to gold recovery.
Nerdrage also had one, but he doesn't do pm recovery just chemistry. He made it when he realized it is a waste byproduct and it might be useful video for those who do precious metal recovery.

@@colonialcharlie8702 yes easy to make I got it down to £9 a litre for 5 hours work I say work I was watching. In England you can not purchase nitric acid but there are no laws as of yet in its synthesis. So I am planning to make and use in the same session. So now laws are broken as the other law is acid stored in containers not labeled correctly. For example nitric stored in a bleach bottle would get you a prison sentence.
