Support fire requires you to activate the computer, press snake against the wall, and then (I customized my psp controls so this might be slightly off) hold L to zoom in on zeke and triangle to get kaz to launch the support fire. This will also have the benefit of serving as a distraction as paz tries to take out the support fire. If you can't zoom in on zeke from cover, you can't launch the supporting fire, its really stupid. Fulton recovering quality soldiers over quantity will generally get you pretty close to the necessary level for zadornov's missions before you start dealing with them. For this reason, its actually way more efficient to do extra ops while waiting for his next escape, as late-game extra ops generally have much better ranked soldiers than what you found in the main game. This generally means my grind ends up for zeke parts though, since I don't focus on getting them at that time, so its really pick your poison. Given the nature of your challenge run, I'm unsure how feasible a lot of those extra ops are. While you can't set a support marker on top of a boss, you can still use the throwable ones and just throw a marker at your feet while you're up there. You would of course need to have those developed first though, which I have no way of knowing if that was possible for you. Also, while this would probably be a bigger pain, if you knock out and fulton recover every single person in a vehicle mission without ever being spotted, it (usually) makes the vehicle's driver pop out without needing to damage the vehicle, which could theoretically save some time. Only really in theory though, since doing that in the first place can be a pain, and in my experience it doesn't always happen the way its supposed to. Imo the monster hunter bosses and re-fights of story bosses kind of suck, I have no advice for that.
Most extra ops that I tried are doable except for the one shot ones and the pooyan ones. I was initially going to include the extra ops in this video but that would’ve made it way too long. In my experience fultoning soldiers on the vehicle mission, it usually requires to the somewhat damage the vehicle anyway, so it isn’t a free skip. The chapter 5 grind still sucks no matter what. No idea how that made it into the final game
i unlocked the 2nd ending all by myself without any guide, I had no idea how much requirements needed i was just really enjoying the game and doing everything i can do, I never grind a game before, But this game so much fun 😂
I am trying this challange myself, tho im only allowing myself to use launchers on bosses only, use pure stealth (as best i can as there are parts where its impossible), no gear taken in to the missions (naked fatigues) and zero kills. so far not even made it to pupa. great video, its good to see this game get some attention now days

Here in this run you use a Carl Gustav, which is described as a "recoilless rifle" that uses artillery ammunition, in this case 84mm. Basically a big sized bullet. Also in wikipedia a recoilless rifle is also called a recoilless gun. Long story short, you were using a gun for good part of the run. Although this is a very particular case, because the LAW itself also is called a recoilless rifle, it can actually shoot rockets.

I mean first i loved the concept but then you said rocket launchers are not a guns and thats where i stopped watching bc they are guns and i wanted to more close counters.
The answer to that challenge run concept is a hard "no." The bosses have too much health and can't be effected by things like cqc and the stun rod. grenades theoretically deal damage, but the helicopter boss likely couldn't be hit by them, and the random helicopter near the end of the story missions would certainly not be able to be hit. You can eventually unlock strike markers if you don't consider mother base's supportive gunfire and rockets to be ones you are using. Even then, I'm actually not sure how the shootable version of a strike marker interacts with flying enemies, so it might still be totally unusable.
