The second Reese did that, I knew this was going to happen. Honestly, I thought when Clark did it, it was a little much, but the polar opposite reactions was expected and disgusting. People can say "I'm not racist" all they want, but the actions are very telling.
When Clark did it, she did it to her strength and conditioning coach. When Reese did it, she did it directly to Clark. You can’t see the difference? Let me give you a hint, the difference is not the color of anybody’s skin.
Amen.

And it could have all been avoided if that girl from LSU didn't spend the ENTIRE last minute trying to taunt Clark to her face and get some sort of reaction.
Because everything in this pathetic country is about race
To me it's like this. In the heat of a game, players talk trash. All part of the game. All is good. Give as good as you get. But when the final buzzer goes off, the game is over. One team will lose, one will win. This is where character and sportsmanship comes in to play. Winners should be gratious to the losers. The same as they would want to be treated when they lose. This is where Angel Reese crossed the line. Following around a player who just lost the game and taunting her incessantly is bad sportsmanship. A sign of low moral character. No way around it. IMHO.
Y'all are being REAL.......... Men did all this in their game and we LOVED IT.........

Caitlin Clark, remember one thing for sure, you can choose your taunting action, but you can't choose your consequences to your taunting.
Caitlyn Clark did it for about 2, maybe 3 seconds, and it was at her own team...Angel Reese was going after Caitlyn Clark doing it, trying her best to get a rise out of Clark...which didn't happen because Clark ignored her. THAT was the difference.... and that is why there was some of the response that there was....Not only that, as for "consequences,"....did you notice how Clark handled it with nothing but class.....???? Yep. Personally, I don't like trash talking/actions during the game because it's not my style. It's still a valid strategy to use against your opponent (but it CAN go too far). There's a huge difference though if the game is over (or all but over). You're a bad winner and are just acting like a shitty person at that point.

@@jsims0075 She told an opponent to shut up? Man they should ban her for life! Reese said she felt disrespected b/c of the way Clark guarded South Carolina, why the fuck should she care about that?
They couldn’t see her.
@@jsims0075 I think the timing of the gesture is important too, only I look at it from a different perspective. I think trash talking and gesturing is unfortunate and shouldn't be done at all; athletes should let their performance speak for itself.
In my opinion, the only justification for trash talking is to gain a psychological edge over an opponent during a game in order to win. That justification doesn't exist after the game (or indeed even during the game if the game has for all intents and purposes already been decided). Athletes should exhibit good sportsmanship, which means being magnanimous in victory and gracious in defeat.

Goes way deeper than that. A bunch of grown white men in their feelings. A bunch of people who would have loved to talk about how a bunch of white girls beat down a bunch of black girls on the court. Strange how the narrative changed when proof was given how Catlin did this all year long to other black players and the media said nothing. Then the story was, well she did it in a classy way. If it was two black players these same white men in their feelings would have nothing to say. Yet throw a white one in the mix and all of a sudden its a thug vs Cinderella. If it was BYU where all the players were white, these white men would be nowhere to be found. The media preys on you low IQ, everything is racist only when the alleged victim is white clowns.
Very true. They can say all they want about how CC started it in the previous game but there’s a level for everything. If I shoved you vs punched you. Is there a difference? Guess some people will continue to side with their side
@Mike Nguyen Shoving and punching somebody in a court of law could result in identical charges, moron. You put your hands on somebody. How about this? If a black person gave you the middle finger, would it be different if a white person gave you one? Lol, you bozos kill me.

And to deny this issue is at the very least short sighted. Clark's behavior was garbage and so she got it right back. I believe she realized that and hope she learned from it.
C. Clark did handle it very well. It’s all in the name of sports
Clark scored 40and sent her home with a weaker squad and she didn't cry when she lost last year like Reece did
Not true. Clark cried as well. Reese also congratulated Clark after the game when Clark left without shaking her hand. Yall miss so much when color is involved. Both I like Clark and Reese but the fans need help
It wasn't the same exact thing. One was done directly towards an opponent, in their face, multiple times in the National Championship when the game was out of reach.
It has nothing to do with race that millions of viewers watch the National Championship that have never watched a womens college basketball game before. They witnessed an act of disrespect and called Angel Reese out on it. I dont see the need to defend it.
The way they keep talking about Clarke, just goes to show how much space she has took up in their heads lol.....They make it seem as though they were only playing against Clarke and not a team. Clarke didn't react because she did the same thing and the competitive banter is part of the sport. Listening to Clarke's interview on ESPN made me like her even more not just as a player but as an individual. Her response to the whole white house invite was pure class.
That's John Cena You Can't See me.
The race grift is so real and keeps racism alive

She did follow he around lol yall reaching..quit crying
Get mad! Cry about it! Bottom line Caitlin Clark started being disrespectful, and Angel Reese finished it! It's way too late for y'all to start complaining now! Deal with it!
The main thing is the score. If taunting helps you get there...good. These two will see each other again and may become friends at the end of their careers.
so google now just give me the search of a year old game between LSU and NCA...where are the videos from yesterday game that Clark won?
I love when they keeps it real.
Reese's actions would have been a nothing burger if she had NOT followed Clark around doing the taunting. She did not just "do the thing" and move on to enjoy the win with her teammates...she followed her around, she intentionally taunted a player on the other team.
As for Raven Johnson... Clearly SC's game plan was to get the ball into the paint...and until they showed they could make the outside shots, the benefit would be better to go for the rebounds on missed outside shots where SC had the height advantage.
Steven A... You are making it a "race" thing...but you are overlooking the fact that Reese continued to follow Clark around the court with both of her gestures.
Taunting someone for two seconds five seconds 20 seconds taunting, is taunting if you don’t wanna it done to then you don’t do it to others people and Caitlyn had no problem with it She knew what she did in previous games. So now there’s a proper way to taunt someone. Come on you gotta be kidding me.

Stephen A. is wrong. First off, how is it the responsibility of Reese to right a wrong of a player on another team? If it was a teammate I could halfway understand. I'm incredibly sorry for trying to understand what's going on. I didn't see everything that went down. Can someone explain a little for me?
I so agree with you!
Ironically, Caitlin Clark initially made the "you can't see me" gesture to her former USA Basketball teammate and roommate, Hailey Van Lith, who is notorious for her trash talk. In fact, this is likely why CC told Hailey to shut up in the same game. Van Lith was interviewed before the game, and at that time, she said that any trash talk between them is "done in love." You know, kind of like MJ and Magic famously going at it in practice on the Dream Team in 1992. Why Angel Reese brought race into this, saying that she was standing up for girls who look like she does, has nothing to do with CC or anything CC did in her game with Van Lith. Personally, I did not like the way Reese taunted CC at the end of the game, but race never entered my mind when this occurred. I would have been equally disappointed if CC did the same thing to Angel if Iowa had won. And while many people were justifiably upset by those who brought racist comments into the conversation (I was upset by this too), I am sure that CC would have been attacked mercilessly if the roles were reversed, in which case race would have been the focus of the conversation in a very different way. The whole thing is unfortunate, as both of these players have been wonderful for the game, and this is what we should all be focused on.
Don't be so naive! A blind man can see ,that the only reason Angel is getting so much backlash has everything to do with race! Anyone with half a brain, knows that there's a unfair double standard in this country that's motivated strictly because of race! As soon as we can admit to this fact, the sooner we can work to change it! But to sit back and act like it doesn't exist is idiotic! Unless you approve of the double standard! Hmmmm! 🤔

If the races were reversed, would you praise Angel for being calm or call her out for letting somone disrespect her and not catching hands?
One doesn’t direct it at any player. The other follows a player for like 20 seconds, trying and failing to get a reaction from them.
@@randomupdates4013 they literally do this in the nfl all game. Shut up lol
@@Dallas0323 I don’t have to shut up, and I’m not even offended from whole thing lmao. I’m outlining the difference between
People just need to learn how to respect each other..we're all here on borrowed time
tell Reese that
Ain’t nuthin wrong with being competitive
Caitlin is as emotionally tough and balanced asAngel is. Competition brings out a brute in everyone.💫✨
exactly
Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t remember Clarke doing it to her opponents faces but rather towards her own fan base. Waiving someone off as to not guard them because they’re not going to shoot a three is not remotely close to doing it at the end of the game and following them across the court to do so. Maybe clarkes done it to opponents faces in the past and I definitely don’t watch women’s basketball enough to know but there’s a massive difference in the examples put forth on this video
Of course u don't remember
How Abt what she did against raven Johnson unless u have played basketball u don't know how much of a diss that is in basketball
@@sportsfantastic361 not even sure who raven Johnson is but I assume you’re talking about the girl she waved off that was on the 3pt line? If you’re comparing that to chasing a player around the court at the end of the national title game to brag about winning, then I’m sorry but those two situations aren’t even in the same ballpark
cry about it hahahaha
She literally did it in #10 face on Louisville while she walked past but keep hiding you true feelings cause your SCARED BIIIIIIIIIITVH
... it's so hypocritical, when Caitlin done-everything was fine. But the reason why Angel did it,is because she did it to other players.Anyone that plays ball, ESPECIALLY street ball, knows 'TRASH TALK' is a big part of it,you can gain an advantage if the other player can't handle it.. That's what Caitlin was doing when she waved the player off.The old adage...if you can't stand the heat, stay out the kitchen!..There was nothing wrong with Angel giving her a taste of her own medicine.Cograts Angel, and the LSU WOMENS BASKETBALL Team.
@:43 I agree with this dude.
They were haters while winning and haters while losing. The coach talking about taking 40 shots a game while she averages 20.
Angle Reese 💜💛
Like you said there's a big difference between taunting someone right to their face, aside from that it's pretty equal but looks like the LSU player was more immature about it
Who absolutely gives a damn. Its competitors being competitive. Its rivalry. One moment people complaing how soft the game has gotten compared the old days, now we are complaining about non contact trash talk? Nah, we dont care
Trust me, Caitlin doesn't care and wishes she could've done it first. Get over it it's competitive bball, it happens and most of the time WE LOVE IT!
BS. Clark would have never, ever called Reese a "HO" the way Reese did on the freethrow line with 53 seconds left.
