      The problem though is, its not just her but the WNBA and entities like ESPN, Fox Sports want folks to think it is all her and her alone. The viewership has increased across the board for many teams and its not because they only care to see CC. They want to see the other new ladies like Reese, Cardoso, and Brink play. If you pay attention, you can see how they are spinning this narrative of it all being because of CC. She deserves many props for increasing a lot of interest in the game but its completely unfair for these people to sit up here and totally ignore the impact the other ladies are making on the league. And the sad part is its all on purpose.

      It's controversy that drives the amount of time spent talking about CC. If the women in the WNBA treated CC with kids gloves, you would not hear any of these shows comment so much about her or the WNBA. Just like the media does with regular news. Good news doesn't sell. It's boring to our society. When they can push negative stories that get people more emotionally invested, their ratings go up. Look at our political landscape. The negative/controversial sells. They are going to keep stoking the controversies as much as they can to get as much as they can from the ratings. YES!! NEVER watched the WNBA before! Wouldn't even take a second out to watch these videos, let alone comment. I would watch UCONN women's basketball, so I knew of those women players. BUT, I haven't watched them since, until now. It's NOT about race! It's the NIL, which is the reason influencers exist on social media! Doesn't matter who is better, it matters that they matter! Thus, Caitlin Clark has endorsements. NOT ONE major corporation is going to spend millions on merch/product that won't sell. Period.

Heroes are born, not created. She boring 😴 She's not exciting to watch. She not coming into the league dominating as y'all thought she would. And she's not scoring at a high level. She should be averaging about 35 points a game. 0-5 that some greatness right there. What are y'all going to say if she doesn't win a game. Who fought would it be. Everyone but hers. Tell me I'm lying.

      It's not about race, slow one. It's a clear jealousy issue perpetuated by the vet women. The old hags hating on the young girl. And it's not even the stuff on the court that drives me to that conclusion, there have been numerous interviews and posts about wnba players hating on Clark even before she stepped on a wnba court.

      No they aren't scared. This panel (minus Joy) is the most intelligent group of sports talk personalities on TV and they are smart enough to know that race isn't the issue. Too bad you don't understand that but I get it. When you don't really have a legitimate argument throw in the race card.

    1.) Commit to the high top fade. That hair on the sides and the back is a bad look. If you’re going to throw it back to the 90s Patrick Ewing style commit all the way to the high top fade.
    2.) You did Wiley dirty by trying to have your own show and went behind his back. That’s not manly behavior.

    Caitlin is white and one of if not the best shooter out of college in a game where the majority of the star players are black in a country where the majority of population are white. Guest what, the majority of the population has a white player to root for that could possibly become one of the best players ever. That is why they are watching.

Clark plays like the most influential hooper in todays game and that’s Steph curry she is now the womens version and that’s what’s people like to see is that style of play it’s exciting to all races and she happens to be that good at it THATS THE REASON PEOPLE WATCH. Nah... It helps marginally, Caitlin is fun to watch....if she was Asian, black or Hispanic and doin what she did in college she'd be getting as much attention....she also is at that perfect peak time where our access to entertainment and seeing her college games was an all time high so it's carried over to Wnba.....if it was only race based then the NBA wouldn't be so popular....

      I wish more white people were comfortable admitting this is true. They loved watching a white girl from the middle of nowhere dominating against so many black college players. White middle America fell in love with her and saw themselves in her. The freaking First Lady wanted to invite the LOSERS to the White House. The machine has been full steam ahead ever since.
      I have no shame admitting I got into tennis and golf because of Serena and Venus Williams and Tiger Woods. It was awesome seeing black people excel at something I had never seen before. This is true for millions of white people about Caitlin.

    • @brookestevenson7645
      @brookestevenson7645 23 дня назад +5

      That’s crazy considering that white basketball fans didn’t need a white dude getting drafted to watch the predominantly black NBA. 🤔
      Furthermore this exact statement proves the point of so many ppl who have been saying that her race is why she’s getting so much attention because her talent, compared to veteran players in the league, needs to develop. Now that she’s struggling in the league, as predicted by truth tellers who were called haters, everyone wants to coddle her and claim everything is unfair.
      I do feel bad for her, but it’s because she was never going to meet the expectations set on her by casuals who only saw her highlights and have never watched a WNBA game. She earned being picked first, she was the best baller coming out of college but 2 things can be true. Thinking she would be the best in the league when at this stage she’s not even the best player on her team, absurd. And she still hasn’t faced as much negativity as Angel Reese since 2023.
