I honestly feel bad for those who are dub only watchers who have no idea what's about to happen to one of their favorite animes.
I first started waching the show on netflix then i found out it had manga and i have one and two
With the second season of Promised Neverland it was one of the worst adaptations ever made. It is like how hard the international versions of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere was butchered compared to the original Japanese version.

I achuly am like episode 6 in but i get how you feel when noman got shiped out i cried a little and when he was only moved to a difrent farm and turned evil i stoped waching

Finished season 1 of this on netflix yesterday and it instantly became one of my favourite ever anime. Now after reading these comments I think I won't tarnish my memory of it.

They skipped 4 whole story arcs not to mention all the cool reveals are smushed on so you can’t enjoy the original story, although if you haven’t seen season 2 I highly recommend reading the manga

Was waiting for this, was excited to watch the Goldy Pond arc be animated. So when a friend tells me “Oh yeah, you hear they skipped that, and literally everything else?” I was in shock.
It got worse... They skipped the 7 walls arc as well as the royal revolution... They fucked up so bad... Fingers crossed we'll get a TPN: Brotherhood in the future...

Why would they even do that? I consider Goldy Pond to be one of the most iconic arcs of the manga. An escalation of the amazing first arc, with an incredibly memorable main villain, tons of lore, and great character exploration. And they cut it for no good reason whatsoever.

Hey, people are too mean to season 2 anime. Honestly, I can agree on a lot of things, like how it should have stuck to the manga, how it should have involved more of the characters from the manga, how it should have at least mentioned goldy pond, and the fact that the last episode just ending in a slide show was bad, but still a good show, it was fun to watch, and seeing everyone else go "Oh my god I wish I could get 11 episodes worth of my life back" makes me upset. Opinions exist, I know, but still. Giving it too much hate.

Like the first season the second one had beautiful animation and amazing music but unlike the first season the pacing is sloppy and it does feel rushed like why in the space of one episode did they just skip so freaking much yes I understand time skips are important there are so many that it just feels lazy and it feels like there no character development and in the 5th episode there pops Norman out of nowhere no reason just conveniently standing there like is there some reason he's just standing there in a back alley. Well if there is a reason why he's conveniently ploped in a back alley they should have said and if there isn't then that's just how it is. So to some this up I myself went in open minded do I think I wasted 12 episodes of my life? No but I can't I enjoyed it but it does have its memorable moments but if you're gonna adapt something do it right. And don't be lazy

@@larryfoulkeofficial8609 I played the second game, the Unsung War and Skies Unknown. With Skies Unknown the game was good but the story not so much. Special mention to that one cutscene in one of the final missions of the game where princess Cossette base jumps off of the space elevator’s platform.

I saw a review after and it got worse... Not only did they skip the best arc they also skipped other arcs so they could summarise everything in one season... The screenwriter and author didn't even claim credit for the last couple episodes apparently...

As an anime only watcher, i'm not as affected but it still infuriates me knowing that they cut out what made the manga so amazing and popular.

With Promised Neverland it had lots of potential to be great with how good the first season turned out. But with the second season it descended into one of the most hated adaptations since the international version of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere.
Imagine years of being told anine only endings aren't what anime fans want, and then going against that for some sense of pure ignorant pride. The studio behind this season are a disgrace to their families
It isn’t the studios choice. It’s normally the higher ups. In this case it was the mangaka who wanted to improve the story. Somewhere in the line of the production he claims that his script was lost and they used an new anime original one.
I’ll watch this whole season again just to hear Ray and Norman’s voices💚💙

Issa shame of all the things they highlighted or advertised, it's the manga sales. This season really feels like a glorified advertisment.
Yeah like they messed it all up to force people to read the manga. Not following the manga doesn't mean it has to be bad. They can come up with a cool original story. Instead they skipped arcs, summarized arcs in a slideshow, and even ignoring the manga this was a horrible anime (only season 2). There are so many issues with it and it's insane.
I just finished Season 1 on HBOmax and it’s soooo good. I can’t believe I barely discovered this masterpiece

@@britgettecardenas4751 this season is basically a speed run of the remaining 150ish chapters in the manga told in only 11 episodes (basically 3-4 seasons worth of content), they removed fan favorite characters and the second best arc , they removed all tension and build up for some reveals, and the final episode is basically a powerpoint presentation that you'll barely understand if you're anime only

Please make a season 3 with an amazing plot...So that the disappointment of the manga readers are gone and I personally liked both the seasons...But please make a season 3...also,please mention the new promise in season 3...This masterpiece deserves atleast 40 episodes...

Just finished watching the first season about to start the second
The teams decision to rush this story the way they did left me absolutely baffled. They could’ve had 2 or even 3 more seasons with all that happens in the manga, but instead they rushed entire seasons worth of content into a few episodes and essentially told the entire ending which could’ve been 1 or 2 episodes into essentially a 2 minute long PowerPoint presentation. So disappointing.

i feel like one of the biggest mistakes with season 2 was how since they had to cut out so much material from the manga, there were entire characters that never made it into the anime, and they were really good characters as well.
like for example, one of the villains was this demon named leuvis who hunts down emma and her friends, but not because he wants to eat them, its because he wants to feel the thrill of hunting. you see, leuvis was still alive before the humans and demons split to seperate parts of the world, and he longs for the days when he could feel his blood boil with excitement from hunting humans, with lives on the line for both parties. he wouldnt even engage with the humans unless if he felt like it was a "fair fight", there was even this one scene where emma had an open discussion with him face to face. he was a pretty unique villain who didnt have anything to gain for what he did, he did it all purely for his own personal enjoyment

I’ve gotten tons of spoilers reading these comments and I just started season 2, but I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find an English dub (no subtitles) I checked crunchy roll, Funimation (my main source Netflix) and nothing. I’m also super confused with the comments saying that dub only watchers have no idea what’s about to happen to their anime? I find it so weird watching it in japense, but if there’s no dub I might as well just watch in sub

I see a lot of people hating on the new season! Honestly I think it's really good, letting the characters grow and how the story grows showing us the demon world! Honestly go watch it. Yes it's nothing like the first season but that's the point! They escaped didn't they? What are people expecting!!
Also side note. Not all animes will be the same as the manages and there's nothing we can do about that!
the point isn’t that we wanted it to be like season one, it’s that so much of the manga involves setting up high-stakes with elaborate and satisfying payoff- and that takes time. i would’ve loved to have season two be used mostly for the goldy pond arc because there’s so much important world building, characterization, and plot progression towards the group’s main goal in that arc alone. that’s what people are expecting- people wanted the fleshed-out, intricate political sphere of the demon world. and what we got in the second season doesn’t hold a candle to the manga.
