Some info that the movie didn't mention: The kids take daily tests and the test scores determine the order of which they get shipped. In the manga/anime conny mentioned that she isn't smart because she fails on many tests. Emma norman and ray have the highest score which is why they haven't gotten shipped until their 12th birthday. Conny telling them that she wasn't smart also made emma and norman figure out that the test scores determine the order. Also every kid who doesn't get adopted is going to get shipped at their 12th birthday with no exceptions. The night ray was supposed to get shipped was Ray's 12th birthday. The reason why Norman was shipped before emma and ray even tho he was the smartest of the three is because he was instead shipped to another farm named lambda, hence the man that meets norman at the gate. The reason why intelligent kids are more delicious is because the most delicious part of the human body is the brain according to the demons. So whoever thinks they're safe bc they're dumb, you actually get eaten first lmao
Another interesting fact here is that Ray is actually Isabella's biological son. Ray was born with a condition whereas he remembers everything from the moment he was born lol. Thats basically how he knew what has been happening and he agreed to be a spy in exchange of some gadgets which they later use for their escape (he disassembles them and make something out of them which is really smart). P.s Krone is actually black and really tall based on the manga. She also have an interesting background story on how she became a "mother". The hide and seek part of the manga with Krone was one of the best scene too. My fellow manga readers would relate.
In the manga, the Grandma was the one who was fed and Mama Isabella became a Grandma. She took this as a chance to gather other Mamas and revolt against the demons and Peter Ratri. Isabella isn't evil at all. She even sacrificed herself for the safety of Emma and other children.
Theres also the fact that they left the little kids because they knew they wouldn’t be harvested yet- they were too young, so they only took the older kids and would come back later. So smart!
Yeah...they can't take all of them. Since they had to cross the giant wall to the other side with a big deep cliff underneath, it will be hard for the young ones. So they had to leave them but came back! That's true love right there😌
This video didn't Talk much about isabella but she's one of my favorites, she became a mother to avoid being eaten as girls who's intelligent can either be eaten or be the next mother, she picks to became a mother and be pregnant to ray to contribute to the farm (all mothers are forced to get pregnant for more Child meat) She tried to escape from her old mother (the grandmother) but got caught since she couldn't pass the huge wall because it has a big ravine. She lost hope after she climbed the wall seeing that there's a huge hole infront of her, thus coming back to the grandma. She lets emma go because she see herself on them but instead of losing hope they get to escape. Idk isabella is just the best for me
@@bungawowzers That's just it. She did that because she know that there's no hope on escaping as she tried that aswell before, she did that to stop emma because she believe they can't escape either way

I honestly don't mind how cheap this movie looks, I still enjoy it a lot every time I watch it. An issue I have with it though, is that the main characters are aged up. But a lot of the other flaws are easy for me to see through, the movie adds a few perspectives and charms that make me get a wider view of the story and respect it more at the same time. I think it's a very good adaptation overall👍 For example: we see Phil in the library struggling to carry all the Minerva books he found with the Morse code messages (already starting off well with actually seeing Phil notice that detail instead of Emma just telling Norman and Ray that he did), and so as the trio all go to help him, we see how each character jumps into action. Emma goes straight for Phil to support him, because she cares about people's well-being. Norman goes straight for the books, because he is a direct problem-facer. And Ray stays at the table and clears it to make room for the books, because he realistically solves the problems behind the scenes. I cannot help but adore such directing, even if it's brief and barely noticeable, it's just such great attention to detail and representation of those three. Chef's kiss!👏🧡💙💚💗

It's insane that this channel started 3 months ago and now has this much views and contents and subscribers. Well, the contents are epic. The new Netflix. I just want to know the text to speech they used before switching to the narrator
Also Adam, the narrator, has his own channel (a gaming channel) where he kinda explained the switch from text to speech. Basically, RUclips was demonetizing text to speech. What I want to know is why this channel and others like it were using text to speech in the first place and also why they want Adam to sound kinda monotone as if he’s text to speech. (He doesn’t speak like that on his own channel.) I had read somewhere these channels are owned by people who can’t pronounce English very well. Is that the case; and they just hired a Canadian (I’m assuming Adam’s a Canadian because his accent kinda sounds Canadian.) to do the narration when threatened with demonetization?
I’m so proud of Philip for being such a brave young boy, he even suspected mama from the beginning. By the way, it’s not pronounced “MAINGA” it’s actually pronounced “MANGA”. I love this anime 😄
Japanese adaptation always made the miatake of following the source material Too strict, I mean irl, japanese face with a red hair is just too unnatural and feel out of place. They should take some creative freedom to fit the New medium. Good example is Marvel live action. movies are altered from comics to fit the medium.
@@TheRIZKYRAMA I think so too! On the other hand there’s always the possibility that some toxic people would say that they ruined the character designs. People will always be people

i saw the trailer for this live action movie before and almost everyone in the comment section complains about how bad the movie is but in my opinion it's actually good even if i had just watched it through this summary. although i guess they didn't fully adapted everything from the manga or anime because i've read the first few chapters of the manga and isabella was one of the students/orphan there too and it wasn't mentioned in the video.
i love the manga so much, i remember binging it at 3am wait, in the manga, they had to figure out the coordinates. there were the morse codes from the books that were the passwords for each set of coordinates. peter wasn't even the one who took norman. peter was supposed to be present somewhere else, not in there. and also, isabella wasn't fed to a demon 👁
@@BBingusCakeBus Of course! It's just that sometimes they are bad changes, so... X'D But there are some good adaptations! It's just that usually they aren't the best X'D This one is one of the better ones tho
That's what they call "creative liberty." I agree that there are stuff that they needed to change or omit entirely. The scene where Isabella tries to cut the rope before Emma's escape. It wasn't the case shown in the anime. I haven't read to manga, so I can't fully verify if that scene follows the manga or was different in the anime.

Omg!!! I didn't know they made a movie out of this! My workmates and I used to watch the anime together during our lunch break. We love this! The anime is a must watch ❤️
You have no idea how much it was rushed... Such good characters were cut out and Norman's return was literally out of nowhere because we didn't have any clues in the anime, and it seemed like a last-moment decision even tho it wasn't.... They literally put about 100 chapters in 11? Episodes and 1 of them was a RECAP episode :) So 10 episodes, aka about 240 mins, aka 4 hours, was definitely not enough to put SO many characters, story, character growth, mystery, clues, secrets that anime only-s never found out about, Isabella's actual character growth (literally she's my favorite character at the end of the manga), etc etc, and just SO much was cut short and it didn't make any logical sense... :') I don't hate how it ended in the anime tho. I do think they saved up on Isabella (manga readers will know what I'm talking about), the last min or so was good enough, while it seemed just a little bit dragged in the manga. The anime version KINDA doesn't make sense tho, as much as I remember... But it's all good XD
@@Sul227 Haven't u heard of a "Womb"? What do u mean a "Mother is not the one who birthed u??" U make no sense. Mother's aren't ever defined wether she cares for u or not. Either way DNA & Blood clarifies everything the only difference is there's Uncaring Mother's & Caring ones.

@@absolutebeauty7753 Yeah, but not in the anime, which is the biggest change. Of course, he can watch it, but it's bad and rushed... (It is a good thing to watch bad anime tho since you'll learn to appreciate the good ones and have a better understanding of why things are considered bad) The manga is much better in comparison, even tho all the endings (manga, anime, and live-action) were not very good. And of course, it's ok to like bad things. I like some bad anime too. I don't mean that this is bad as a personal opinion (I do personally find it bad, but I'm not talking about it right now), but it's bad because it's not well made and the reveals, mysteries, and what's happening in general, are not well executed.

It's insane that this channel started 3 months ago and now has this much views and contents and subscribers. Well, the contents are epic. The new Netflix. I just want to know the text to speech they used before switching to the narrator
what makes you think they have a human narrator
@@sen7826 The dude in the beginning? Lol
Whattttt?!!!!

Better than most but krone isnt krone right .
Japanese adaptation always made the miatake of following the source material Too strict, I mean irl, japanese face with a red hair is just too unnatural and feel out of place. They should take some creative freedom to fit the New medium. Good example is Marvel live action. movies are altered from comics to fit the medium.

i saw the trailer for this live action movie before and almost everyone in the comment section complains about how bad the movie is but in my opinion it's actually good even if i had just watched it through this summary. although i guess they didn't fully adapted everything from the manga or anime because i've read the first few chapters of the manga and isabella was one of the students/orphan there too and it wasn't mentioned in the video.

i love the manga so much, i remember binging it at 3am
wait, in the manga, they had to figure out the coordinates. there were the morse codes from the books that were the passwords for each set of coordinates.
peter wasn't even the one who took norman. peter was supposed to be present somewhere else, not in there.
and also, isabella wasn't fed to a demon 👁

That's what they call "creative liberty." I agree that there are stuff that they needed to change or omit entirely.
The scene where Isabella tries to cut the rope before Emma's escape. It wasn't the case shown in the anime. I haven't read to manga, so I can't fully verify if that scene follows the manga or was different in the anime.

I really loved this anime, though the second season did seem rushed, I did love the ending. I was so glad it wasn’t a sad one.
I don't hate how it ended in the anime tho. I do think they saved up on Isabella (manga readers will know what I'm talking about), the last min or so was good enough, while it seemed just a little bit dragged in the manga. The anime version KINDA doesn't make sense tho, as much as I remember... But it's all good XD
