In all the other games however it may be possible, but EXTREMELY difficult, for everyone to survive. And maybe they could survive the ice cream thing if they didn't choose one (but then the dolls might have threatened to kill all of them if they didn't choose). If everyone, including the bully, worked together and figured everything out quick enough (switching between being a mouse and a student just in time to avoid death, as they go for the mice first). No, the Japanese didn't play the squid game before the Korean. The first game they play here in this movie is called "Daruma-san ga koronda" (達磨さんが転んだ). The first game they played in Squid Game is "Mugunghwa kkochi pieotseumnida" (무궁화꽃이 피었습니다). They're both variations of Red Light, Green Light game. But they are not the squid game. The titular squid game refers only to the last game that the contestants played in the Squid Game movie, that uses a field drawn with lines in the shape of a squid, which is not played in this movie.
The Daruma game seems similar to red light green light, which can only have one winner. Basketball is a team game, but only the 3 surviving players had been acting as a team, the 2 made the plan, and the 3 executed it. The limitations to the winners make sense in context of the games.
Interesting how I started watching it and quit after the first episode, because found it filled with a lot of blood ((( But this movie is even more bloody (((
But how could Takumi be the liar? I know she wasn’t in contact with Shun for a long time but she kept a piece of the broken cup around her neck. A symbol of how he basically saved her life that day she wanted to commit suicide

if I had a penny for every death game that started with red light green light, I’d have 2 pennies, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
SG was inspired by the Japanese comics Kaiji and Liar Game (And as someone who saw all three shows, the influence is evident). While ATGW and SG do have similar themes of "children games gone bad", they have nothing to do with each other.

God: **Just repairs a single fucking radio throughout the whole movie while children die at his command**
OMG, most of these dolls/enemies look so cute and are so well animated.
The Daruma game seems similar to red light green light, which can only have one winner. Basketball is a team game, but only the 3 surviving players had been acting as a team, the 2 made the plan, and the 3 executed it. The limitations to the winners make sense in context of the games.

SG was inspired by the Japanese comics Kaiji and Liar Game (And as someone who saw all three shows, the influence is evident). While ATGW and SG do have similar themes of "children games gone bad", they have nothing to do with each other.
Whats SQ?
@@HY-ti4bh That was supposed to be "SG" Squid Game, my bad
Squid game was thought of in 2008 and ATGW was shown in 2014 so both are not correlated in any way so you’re correct
I dont think so bec the director of the movie have already made the story since 2013 like that but unsuccesfully making it a story bec people said squid game is to extreme until 2021 he finally get to make it a show ,you can see the director explaining it in youtube .

Korea, Japan are living in a totally different dimension.
Japan loves teens. Don't know why they are so obsessed with high shool kids.

Bro that's why most anime are Highschool Teenagers. Cuz the creator knows that Highschool is more fun than than their situation now. No one can beat Highschool memories
The kid who skipped school that day is probably the happiest person
I remember playing darumasan ga koronda with my cousins, but this makes the game really freaky lol

ATGW made in 2011
@ZAP GAMERZ ik, but im trying to say that squid game did not plagerize ATGW
@@marklee7913 Plagiarize what? IT WAS NEVER PUBLISHED AS A NOVEL OR ANYTHING AS A PUBLISHED STORY. Therefore, the author still has a chance to edit his work and claim it as original and or “inspire.”
@@quillherart8660 oh ok. I have misunderstood. But imo i dont think that it is appropriate to say squid game copied ATGW.
nah they clearly copied atgw
@@marklee7913 I wouldn’t call it plagiarize, squid game had elements of social commentary on Korean work culture and effects of late stage capitalism in society. I don’t really see anything overtly similar between the two pieces of work besides the genre and I guess the one scene with the creepy doll playing basically red light green light. Besides that the tones and meaning behind it are very different. ATGW I didn’t actually watch so if there’s some deeper meaning to it please let me know, based off the recap it seems to be more for entertainment. Which is fine nothing wrong with making films solely for entertainment.
