I recognised the actress'playing Joo Ran immediately, man Park Bo Young was so young back then omg. Look at her now, one of the highest paid and best actresses of Korea, much loved by all kdrama fans. Also, in her most famous kdrama 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon', Park Bo Young plays the character of a girl who has superstrength. It's a really good romcom.

I want to say that this movie is not just about drugs, but it's related to some pretty twisted history between Korea and Japan. Something similar to this actually happened where Japanese scientists took citizens of Korea, China and etc they captured in the war to test them in the most inhumane ways possible. It's called unit 731. They would do things like freeze someone's arms and then pour boiling water on them or throwing them in pits of hungry rats and even where they trap a mother and her child in a very hot room with a burning floor to see how far the "love for her child" would go. At first the mother would hold her baby but eventually the mother would step on her baby to protect herself and there's so much more. There is still some pretty bad beef between Korea and Japan because of this. If you want to do research on unit 731, just be prepared to barf by there are some pretty disturbing things ....
yeah those people who experimenting on those innocent should be in hell

After reading this I felt really bad but I realized that not every country is good. They all have that dark secret. Those scientists were mentally ill and messed up. Thankfully this is mostley over. Why does history like this always make me feel bad for something I didnt do. 😢😭

To be Honest , he actually missed a huge point here . When the teacher tried to shoot shizuko , she accidently shot at the freezer like stuff inside which kazue was present . That gun shot broke the glass which caused kazue's lifeless body to fall out . This actually enraged Shizuko , so , she ran towards her teacher , When they came pretty close , Shizuko hit her teacher and the teacher shot her (It all happened in seconds ) . After that you can see both of them lying on the ground and you can also see that shizuko got shot and was bleeding . Even after the gun shot , she stood up and tried to strangle her teacher and then eventually flung her , the teacher then landed on a sharp stuff and passed away . After that shizuko went and sat along with kazue's body and talks in a weak voice - "Now let's go home , i and you " after saying this Shizuko passes away . After this scene we can see Shizuko and kazue sitting in a beautiful garden while trying to use a phonograph . This shows that their friendship stayed strong even after their death . Stay happy and healthy - with lots of love fellow moomoo 💕💕

This movie is really good, only thing with this video that bugged me was you getting the names wrong a few times and interchanging the two main girls names, especially after they escaped and then were caught by the guard/soldier. You were switching the names at that point and I was so confused lol. Shizuko was the one who was shot, not Kazue. Totally swapped that one dude... I'm sure unintentionally but c'mon, they aren't interchangeable and clearly look very different.

i think at some point you exchanged kasue and shizuko's name with each other lol. it's at the part where they get to the military base and the soldier catches them. i don't really blame you though, for the first half i was also confused with everyone's name and faces that i had to go back again to memorize it.

Honestly, I love the plot to this movie and just the movie itself is incredible.
In the main character girl's name Shizu means quiet and ko means child or kid (Japanese). Which is basically the movie's name.
So some people see well done content then they try and copy it... I've watched your channel and others that try and compete, but you are hands down the best. You are able to give the important parts of each story, allowing us to follow along, but your witty quips that you throw in throughout are what make you King!! We laugh our asses off. They are cleverly placed and thoroughly enjoyed!!
This sounds like a spin on level 16. I loved level 16 it was super interesting. I might have to watch this movie next.

Was this in the time where Japan had power in Korea? Because the Japanese names are throwing me off.
This remind me of a movie that I watched on these recap channels. They were using the girls for their skin and the girls got out in the end. It’s almost the exactly the same in plot, medicine and girls going missing, lies about girls being picked and not ever returning.
