This is mind blowing!! It completely cleared up ANY confusion I had prior to watching this! It was really helpful that you actually explained the purpose of mitosis and whole life cycle! Not many videos do that...they just regurgitate the information and expect you to just know/memorize it without really LEARNING or UNDERSTANDING. Thanks so much!! All your videos are actually helpful

I really like your videos! They are very thorough and use great ways to explain things and make comprehension a lot easier. What I like probably the most is you don't tend to refer to other videos whence going on separate parts of a topic
Usually you will re explain topics then and there. For example the haploid and diploid you explain them in different videos and don't refer people to keep going to different videos. It gets really annoying fast and confusing.

Paul in the example that starts at 3:20 you are saying that the chromosomes are identical and 2n=2. So far so good. But then you are saying that one comes from mom and one from dad (which should make them non-identical). when you get to meiosis the crossing over either makes sense (if the red and blue chromosomes are actually different) or it doesn't make sense (if the red and blue are identical). Am I missing something? Otherwise very good explanation and please continue your great work.

Thanks, this helped alot! But i'm still confused. If all the sperm are haploids with 23 chromosomes, where do diploids with 46 chromosomes to make sperm come from? Don't cells come from alike cells? So do 2 sperms come together to make like a super sperm for meiosis to occur???

Eric Fajeta They are identical when the zygote splits into two, followed by mitotic division of two identical embryos. On the other hand, they are non-identical when two eggs are fertilized by two sperms.
