Fun fact: The total combined file size of the ost (with mp3s) is more than 1gb. I also remember hearing that SJ is larger than the base game file size. Glad you showed this off! Maybe you’ll get to see a map I decorated in the future if you keep playing!

Started playing earlier today and same here. 100% my favourite level in the beginner lobby. There's actually so many secrets and hidden rooms scattered around the level, really feels special.

It really is honestly my favorite level. Sure, there a several levels in the mod with a lot cooler gimmicks, but this one level is just pretty. I honestly find myself replaying it a few times a day, and I've already (to my knowledge) found all the secrets.
I didn't get it on my first playthrough because somehow I managed to miss every single secret, but going back and finding all of them was sooo much fun

Despite never having played the game, Abby's directions were really good!! I'd love to see more maps like Seeing is Believing, they're just hard to properly enjoy without a friend nearby who likes Celeste or at least likes platformers

Just a heads up, difficulty ramps up hard. The Intermediate lobby uses every mechanic you learn from the DLC chapter of the main game. The final level of the Intermediate lobby is on equal difficulty to the DLC chapter. From Advanced and onwards, most maps involve hyper-precise tech with like 4-frame windows that have to be pulled off one after the other. Pretty much any level in the Expert and Grandmaster lobbies seem completely out of reach for me.
Don’t worry! You get better at maps like those by virtue of playing them, so believe in yourself, push through the maps, and don’t forget to have fun!!
The heartside of the intermediate lobby is definitely farewell level, and then the advanced levels are around the difficulty or harder than farewell. Expert + Grandmaster get kind of crazy though
@@petey5009strawberry jam advanced is quite a bit beyond farewell imo
expert and grandmaster difficulty are also tuned up from the last collab, but it’s hard to compare it with the base game
the fun thing with big collabs is that with each lobby, once you clear it (heartside included), you’re pretty much ready for the next step up in difficulty
once you clear advanced, expert isn’t so difficult (especially if you clear the “green expert” tower xvi map). once you clear expert, GM might not be so difficult (especially since there’s “green GM” psychokinetic)

I think I’ve got point crow figured out, he doesn’t die cause of skill issues often but the majority of his deaths come from false assumptions
in beginner, if you have played base game, you don’t truly die to skill issue, you just haven’t figured out the screen fully
as the difficulty increases, eventually the precision / input density / consistency requirement will overwhelm players, so that’s when they die to skill issue
edit: psychokinetic (SJ red expert) was the first time I felt my fingers were not fast enough

And 3. How can you say to him to play Farewell instead of the biggest mode ever created.......
It's nice that you want him to play Farewell, but don't blatantly lie. There are 5 lobbies of different difficulties with 20+ maps each in Strawberry Jam. I just spent an entire day knocking out the beginner lobby and moved on to do some of the intermediate maps. Progress will slow down significantly as the maps get harder so a rough estimate is that it might take me a month or more to get through this.
Farewell took me 3 days of 5 hour sessions to beat. It's a really long, difficult, and fun map but it's nowhere near as long as Strawberry Jam.
(Also he already played Farewell but the vod ain't out yet)
even if you first try every map (which is impossible) this is like 20 hours long, whereas farewell is 30 minutes
I have already 13 hours in this mod and I have only beaten the beginner's heartside, it took me 13 hours to beat farewell.
Fun strawberry jam fact! If you combine the size of every screen in Celeste (chapters 1-8, a/b/c side, plus every farewell screen), strawberry jam more than doubles the base game in terms of screen size
