Brandon Carroll’s (Hornpipe)

Must be my first hornpipe l've posted! I must confess, I have a very VERY bad habit of learning new hornpipes, and it's one of my weaker areas when I'm playing music.
Mostly because not a lot of them get played around these parts at sessions so the pressure to learn them is just not there. However, it's my goal this year to learn 1 hornpipe a month, and l've learnt a total of 2 1/2 so far this year! I confess, must flex my hornpipe muscles a bit more because keeping the rhythm seems so much harder than other types of tunes!
This is a lovely little one I picked up from a new album by There's McInerney and Marian Curtin off their album called "The Youth That Belonged to Milton".

Lovely tune, cheers for the drop, hope your bad habit never stops. I love hornpipes. If I can ask, what are the other two?

Thanks! I don’t think the bad habit of not learning new hornpipes will ever end as I just learnt 5 new reels in the last 2 weeks! 😂
The other two hornpipes are the Wicklow and Byrne’s hornpipe. Though the latter has 2 variations and I’m currently having a debate with my friends on which version is better! 😏
