  • This video was made to have hard facts about how Speed Casts are actually stacked and how they are affected. There's a human error of +- 2 frames for these to keep in mind and I used an equipment roller to get Speed Cast 8 without having to enter a new fight, but it doesn't affect any calculation.
    Unlike what Aselia claims (aselia.fandom.... ), without any sources to back it up may I add (!), it again is wrong about a basic mechanic.
    Casting reduction is = Speed Cast Level * 10%
    The only exception to this is the Skill "Speed Cast 3" which actually acts like 4 stacks, instead of 3. For some reason.
    So Speed Cast 1 = 10%, Speed Cast 2 = 20%, Speed Cast 3 = 40%, Speed Cast 1+2 = 30%, Speed Cast 1+2+3 = 70%, etc.
    In other words, you can think of the number after the name as the amount of times it's stacking (except 3, again, which counts as 4, and it annoys me it's an exception). For instance, equipping 2 Mystic Marks (Speed Cast 1 + Speed Cast 1) will give you the same effect as a Speed Cast 2.
    You can see it in the video with First Aid (4 secs) and Cure (8 secs) how they scale as the stacks are increased.
    We REALLY need to stop spreading misinformation about mechanics in this community...

    Interesting. I edited the Aselia page and updated the misinformation. Good job finding out this error. 👍

      Hey that's very cool! Thanks for the effort!
      There are a lot of tiny things in Aselia that always bothered me but this one stuck out this time lol Should have honestly made vids or something about them when they came up but I guess no use crying over spilled milk.
      We tales fans aint the biggest gaming community soo gotta keep the few things we know of the games fact checked to learn more about them!

    There has to be an alternative to Aselia, especially one that isn't on the Fandom servers.

      Absofrickinglutely. At least a more gameplay oriented one instead of trying to cater to all sorts of Tales info so we can narrow down and have more accurate info.

      @@Kevassa We can do both, Yugipedia is the definitive source for information on both the lore and gameplay sides for Yugioh, the same can be done for Tales of.

    • @Kevassa
      @Kevassa  Год назад +1

      @@SyxxPunk The problem is Yugioh actually has good card descriptions of what they do and stuff while Tales info is sometimes even _wrong within the games_ so I don't envy anybody having to moderate such space with misinformation coming from both official and unofficial sources lol
      ((I've secretly been working on something but it might not manifest in a long time if ever))

    Hi Kevassa, I’ve been working with Pegi on extracting and cleaning the output of the Winona book! We were wondering if you would be interesting in translating it when we’re done cleaning it up?

      Hey! Who's "we" and what do you mean with Winona book?
      If you mean the novel I'm afraid that's beyond what I could do on my free time at the moment 😅

    Just to get it straight, speed cast lowers the casting time by 10 percent for each stack or is it like speed cast 2 decreases time by 20 percent and speed cast 1 is 10 percent?

    • @Kevassa
      @Kevassa  Год назад +1

      Basically Speed Cast (number) is the number of stacks (with the exception of Speed Cast 3, which counts as 4 stacks for some reason).
      Hope it's clear!
