Gary, I’ve been a smiths fan since I was 17 and now I’m 21 with my first Rickenbacker. So I figured I’d learn what difference does it make and your video made it so much more easier than the others out there. I’ll be watching all your smiths lessons now!
Thanks so much @nickbatex4397 that has made my day! It’s hard to get noticed as a small channel sometimes so it means a lot to hear comments like yours. When you said you’ve been a Smiths fan since you were 17 I thought you were going to say you are now in your 50s or something like so am! So it’s great that there’s a new generation of Smiths fans and I think people will always relate to them. Ps it took me until I was 57 to get my first Ricky, a treat to myself when I retired, so at 21 I’m envious of all the years you will have with yours, enjoy and thanks again for supporting my channel 🙏🤓🎸
@@GuitarGary.I’m glad I was able to make your day! And yeah the smiths got me through some hard times, Johnny definitely made me want to pick up the guitar! And the Rickenbacker I own is a 325, I was wanting to get a 330 but as a huge Beatles fan I could not just buy a Rick and not have it be the 325.

And what a beautiful comment thanks Gonzax! The Rickenbacker is a 360 Midnight blue which I bought second hand when I retired last year, and I’d heard they weren’t doing glossy fingerboards anymore on new ones. And as for the artwork I’m so glad you picked up on it! It’s scoring low on my click info at the moment but I like it and I thought to myself, we’ll if they know (like you do), they will know. Plus I don’t want to get sued by Terence Stamp so yes I am number three 🤣🤣🤣🤓🎸
@@GuitarGary. The moment I saw the picture I thought "oh, nice one!!" hahaha. It only appears in the YT thumbnail, though, which is a bit of a shame, perhaps you should add it as some kind of intro for a few seconds before the video starts.
And the Ricky is a real beauty, usually they're always either sunburst or black, which I love too, but that color is great, I love it.

@timberwolvesxx7250 yep Wolfey, always use Medium - it’s a Martin 0.73mm tortoiseshell! 👍🤓🎸
Takes a while to get the timing right with this song think he used a Rickenbacker 330 on this one
Yep definitely does Gary, and yes he did use a black 330, but don’t get me started after one, my wife says I’ve already got too many guitars! 🤓🤣🎸🙏
