Congratulations young man. You are absolutely correct and I tell all veterans: If you have been rated 100% permanent and total DO NOT file another claim. You’ll open yourself up to reduction.
Thank you so much and yes I’ve heard that too.
Absolutely correct.
How can I be down because I retire 30 June22. . 22 years. I have to get this goin in the next fumed months. In San Diego.
@@Rollercoaster555 I’m sorry I have no clue what you should do. I hope you could find the right answer.
@@Rollercoaster555 I am not a lawyer. However, Want I would do is research the info and get point of contacts of who filed the lawsuit. Get in touch with them and ask your questions to see if you are eligible & can be added as a claimant. The worst is they say no.
Congrats, it boogles my mind how majority of vets don't receive any disability pay. 100% disability=free health care, free dental, $3K a month, access to any base, it's worth fighting for and shouldn't be taken for granted by anybody still in service.
That is so true. I am amazed at how many vets don’t even try to file a claim or don’t think they would get anything.
I agree 100% These guys deserve it if they become disabled. The military is a tough life.
@@boomerang6130 true
Ya I served for 28 years and retired in Colorado Springs which is military town USA and couldn't believe how many young vets in perfect health were at the gym during a work day so I asked and every time was told hey its easy every vet should do it to get free medical, over 2k a month for the rest of your life and much more if you have kids, discounts on property taxes, free college and much more. They said just claim PTSD and sleep apnea and they knew vet reps who would help fill out the paperwork I said I served this country not to be dishonorable and fuck it over for free shit just because I can. Call me an old school American vet.
@@hanna554 Sounds to me like you are both angry and jealous. I believe these ppl are legit disabled and deserve the lifetime benefits for serving their Country.
I just got 100% last March after fighting with the VA for 15 years. I was a trauma medic for combat engineers in Iraq in 04. Route clearance everyday. It's crazy that they make us work this hard for it but be diligent guys! The pay off is worth it. They really could make an MOS out of applying for disability form the VA! 😭
I will definitely say it was not simple for me though! haha
Thank you for your service! I’m glad you were finally able to get 100% you deserve it. And yes they should make a job just for apply for disabilities.
@@JGphins Troops on the ground have a hell of a time getting approved for PTSD and you received it for watching combat on a monitor, I'm pretty sure you went through something but damn. Yes, I was deployed as CSAR on HC-130P's sitting at H-2 and launching when our guys were having a really shitty day.
I was at Camp War Eagle in 04…Sadr City
I had to fight the VA as well for 15 years for a TBI I was struck with an ax across the head during a day Military payday in El Paso Texas just outside the gates of Ft Bliss
Ha ha ha ha I had the SAME response when they FINALLY bumped me up from ZERO to 100% P&T. My VSO (Veteran Service Officer) called to tell me and I thought that I heard her incorrectly, I said WHAT? !!!!! 5 decades of lost records, 5 decades of redacted files, 5 decades of being called a liar ended, finally! Blessings to you my Brother in Arms I am sooooo happy when I hear one of us was treated fairly. Keep spreading the word. Be well and remember, we were called to serve and we served with distinction and we deserve to be treated properly for doing the things we did to protect our country. Be well:)
Congratulations. I feel you on that heart dropping. I was totally shocked. Especially me going from 40% to 100%. I can only thank God, the person that referred me and the team that helped me because I was not going to fight again but I decided to and I am glad I did. You go through a lot in the military and we deserve everything we get.
That is awesome I’m glad you decided to fight one last time. It truly is a blessing and yes us veterans do deserve it no matter what we did in the military.
How did you find a team? What do you mean by team. I'm new and have not filed a claim yet but need to just don't know how
Very well spoken; very humble, pleasent presentation. GOLDEN! Oh, most important; very knowledgeable! Thank you for this video. It took me 2 years of HELL fighting the VA the first time, and another battle the next, over a decade later. Too much stress. Glad your experience was S M O O T H. God Bless.
Right on man! Good for you! Thank you for your service!
I just got an increase the other day from 90% to 100%, did it all by myself. My heart dropped when I saw it say 100% from pure joy.
I am P&T Also.
Ayyeee that’s amazing! Welcome to the club
How long did your process take ?
Yourself is the only way to do it -- VSOs are low-energy old men. I fell for the VSO legend when I was young, and have been severely underrated for decades. Only you care about you.
Just wondering how long were you in when you got discharged, and were you able to claim you post 9/11 or Montgomery Gi bill education benefits when you were discharged
God Bless you! I had saw one of your videos and wanted to thank you 🙏 for feeding many of our Sons you had been on my mind. Please take care of yourself.
You are very welcome! Thank you for watching my videos. It is my pleasure.
Keep doing what you are doing, brother!! Us veterans have to look out for each other!!
Thank you so much I will!

I agree.
Welcome to the 100% club!🎉 I first received 80% but then I filed for TDIU and received 100% P&T!! All glory be to God!🙏🏾❤

@@directorclarkmonroe That's what's up bro! I filed again back in May, but I went through one of those private companies, because I got tired of getting decreased from doing it on my own, but I'm good to go now.....100% permanent and total! 🍻
I was medically retired from the USAF back in 2007 on TDIU. Got out 2010 PDRL on a PEB 30% with 60% VA. Took me 9 years to get my 100% PT and another year to get my 3 year back pay. It helps a lot. I'm still trying to build my life and get things together slowly.
So glad you finally got it! But, it should not have taken that long to receive your backpay. You should have gotten it at the time of notice, or on the following payday...but hey, at least you're there now! 🍻
Sorry bout.im thankful it took 1 yr

Congratulations and thanks for uploading. 00:19 that was the exact same advice my pops gave me when I left for basic, document everything and make a "C.Y.A" copy of any medical documents cause it'll benefit you later on down the road. Again thanks for the upload.

I'm a 100% P&T with SMC(L) Aid and Attendance. I was surprised also. I was just expecting at least a 70% but I got the 100% P&T. I didn't even know I was P&T or what it even meant until about 2 weeks later. And then I had 3 years backpay with it and it was great to receive that 100K and some all in one payment. I am definitely blessed by having my future taken care of through my disabities from the VA. I have nothing to complain about so far. God bless and take care my brother. God bless.
How long did your process take ? And when did you file ?
@@cartiercayy2709 My claim took a little more than a year after I filed in May of 2016. I also sent in all my civilian health records where it showed I was also diagnosed by them with PTSD. Then the VA misfiled all of my records that I sent in and that took months to correct. I had my C&P Exam in Mexico City because I had already move here to MX. I had more than enough evidence which included several Mental Health hospitalizations during Active Duty and after discharge. It was finally done in November of 2017.
100k in backpay? I can't even imagine! That's awesome, congrats!
@@InfuzeDcyphR Thanks. But really and honestly my heart aches for other veterans who have serious disabilities and can't even get a decent rating if at all. I always share my experiences with my V.A. claims process with other veterans so that maybe it'll help someone out in some way.
Good stuff here & congrats on reaching 100!!! Zero to 100% P&T in 10 months for myself, If its in the records its alot better for sure!!! Remember secondary conditions are add ons that can be awarded to you to get to the Top!!! Keep your status around people....ya know how some are lol....
Congrats Bro! This is a Life Changing..
Facts it is! Thank you.
Sad.
Great video, I was rated 20% back in 1997 and now I am 90%. Never give up especially the older veterans that were not able to go to sick call and keep records. #wallstreetthenewhustle

Thank you for posting this. I’m currently at 60% (I just got out the Navy last June) so I had recently filed for an increase. Here recently I feel like my symptoms are getting worse.. especially with all the events happening in the world, stress, substance abuse, memory loss.. so I’m trying everything possible to get 100%
Never mention substance abuse in a claim.. if you get denied go through firm like Veterans Gaurdian. Well worth the $
How does a cook get a 100% disability?
I wouldn’t say substance it’s a coping skill to keep you okay in life I got 70 ptsd by it self
Good job young man sharing the word. We have to stay on top of benefits or the people behind us WONT GET SHIT. I’m 100P&T. Have been for over 20 years. Congrats Dave I sat on 80% for 10 years. I decided to go for TDIU in March of this year and by April I was approved! What really motivated me to go for an upgrade was the fact that they tried to downgrade me after one of those periodic checkups. I had to fight that to keep my percentages and after I won that I went and filed for TDIU and got it so I guess you could say that them trying to downgrade me turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
That’s so awesome I’m glad you were able to get that TDIU. It truly is a blessing🙏🏾

How, I still can’t get 100. My back and knees hurt while working sometimes and I can’t just sit down for 5min or I’ll get in trouble

Just wondering how long were you in when you got discharged, and were you able to claim you post 9/11 or Montgomery Gi bill education benefits when you were discharged
For me I was first awarded 80 percent and when I did my claim in the beginning I said I had plantar fasciitis but I didn’t mention I have flat feet. The lady I saw was kinda rude but she documented stuff I didn’t know I have. She said I have the worse flat feet she ever seen and said not even physical therapy can help me. She made me do X-rays and mentioned the allergies and sinuses infections I have since integer had those before. 2 months later I was shocked to see backpay and I was thinking what was this for. A week later I got my 100 percent P&T letter in the mail and I was so thankful and still am.
Did you get 80percent just from plantar facitis itself? I have it on one of my feet and its on my record. Appreciate any info or advice.
Just wondering how long were you in when you got discharged, and were you able to claim you post 9/11 or Montgomery Gi bill education benefits when you were discharged
@@dodgerdogcerritos no. That was my total rating before I requested a co exam. Plantar fasciitis was 30 percent at the time. Now 50 percent.
@@tylerm1270 I did 20. Yeah I already used the post 9. Everyone I got out with got that.

That’s great man your on the right path! Good luck .
Great work brother, just got my 100! After spending 20 years as an Engineer in the Marine Corps I wouldn’t settle for anything less, it’s heartbreaking hearing stories of all the warriors out there that have to fight for what they deserve because these non-voted

I see some talking about moving overseas. Since we have yrly physical with VA, would you just travel back and forth to USA from your overseas residence to complete physical? Or, see a doctor in country of residence and update VA ON medical status of physical?
That’s a great question I really don’t know.
Congrats!! That awesome. I’m thinking about getting out in year or re up for few. Could you help me or give me advice or info on it
Thank you so much! What do you want info on?
Happy to hear your story pal. How is life for you 2 years later if you don't mind me asking?
What if you do not have Permanent and total but still at a 100 percent rating?
Good info thanks.
Hey bruh, so whats your update?? Did you make any moves, travel etc??
Do they only back pay you from the day you file ? Or intent to file? Because I thought they was supposed to backpay you from first day you attempted to file
The VA calculates VA disability back pay based on your disability effective date, not on your application or approval date.
I just received my 100% Permanent and total VA disability rating last October 2022. Earlier last year I received retroactive payment of 25K. Last year was a great year. I went from 60% to 70, 80, 90 and of course 100%.
FYI I did most of the work by myself. My VA disability lawyers haven't been very effective
Just wondering how long were you in when you got discharged, and were you able to claim you post 9/11 or Montgomery Gi bill education benefits when you were discharged
What does getting out with VA benefits mean for your family? And if my wife is pregnant and not give birth until I get out? Do they get benefits too?
I just received the news today that I got my 100% been working on it since 2015
Congrats! Did you go to medical throughout your service or you document everything during your 6 appointments?
I’m 100 percent disabled I did not have any medical records when I was having a mental breakdown I went to the va emergency room and told them everything that was goin on with me from that I was interviewed by doctors and psychiatrists and from there they diagnosed me the only thing I had was my dd214
Is the Tricare website supposed to have all my medical records? I only see bootcamp immunizations and a knee injury from the base hospital. Nothing from my ships medical is on it. If anyone can help that would be awesome, I'm currently trying to make a claim.
Congratulations, much deserve, I filed in 2018 and got a 50% rating on my back, went back and filed for tinnitus at %10...I have chronic neck pain,
Sleep apnea, anxiety with depression on appeal. I have been seeing VA doctor's for aniexty and depression as well as raging tinnitus, they ordered me some hearing aid type devices to mask noise, just saw my civilian neurologist for nerve pain in my neck and migraine headaches through the VA , I hired a lawyer but I am doing most of the work. I want to replace him...I need someone to review my medical records. 1 should I get a copy of my records from seen visits by VA and should I go ahead and file for rate increase or TDIU.
Do any fellow veterans know of good solid representative. I live in Georgia..... blessings to all

U are definitely underrated
File for Radiculopathy- I can’t sleep at night and filed and got 2 20%s on my neck and filed for the same mental health issues and went from 50-80, and from their u can prolly get tdiu
How can I get a VA claim approved for Transverse Myelitis if I got it 2 years after getting my letter???
My QTC C&P Doctor has been really cool and helpful both times I went for an exam. The only trouble I've had is with the VA examiners themselves. Even my regular VA doctors are helpful.
