    I believe you were incorrect on the taxes... if you're 10% or higher you get $5,000 exemption and once you get to 100% you no longer pay taxes.... I was confused when you said up to $50,000....was that for exemption on your taxes or actual house.... $50,000 exemption is for homestead

    Have to disagree with you about Florida being the most veteran friendly.

    SC also gives 100% disabled veterans total tax exemption from a home.

      no you have to be 100 % in Florida. i am 90 being paid Un employable and have a letter form VA for disability and cant get a Disabled Veteran tag. have to pay full price for a disabled tag. if you are not 100% disabled by VA then you lose a lot of benefits in Florida. so the little you get for your disability in Florida is smtttnce a lot of good benefits in Alabama you cant get in Florida

    • @TheVeteranCoach
      @TheVeteranCoach  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you are 100% P&T you should qualify for total exemption of your property taxes (up to $50,000) so your $5700 should be covered. A resident
      of Florida, and who is disabled to a degree of 10% or more may be entitled to a $5,000 reduction in his or her property’s assessed value.

    Texas has better benefits than Florida for 100% P&T. Texas has a TOTAL property tax exemption for 100% P&T...and you don't have to do the property tax exemption paperwork every year and your driver's license is free and good for nine years! Texas also has the VA Land Board where disabled veterans have priority in purchasing land plots being auctioned off by the state. Texas also has free hunting, fishing licenses as well as free access to state parks for disabled veterans. Texas also offers free parking at the airports for DV plated vehicles. There's a reason why many veterans refer to Texas as "Veteran's Paradise." From my own research Texas is #1 for 100% disabled veterans. Florida is a distant #2.
