    The way windows does updates is flawed. The updates should only be done with the consent of the user. I do hope Linux replaces Windows.

      I mean it's flawed a bit but I don't see how "it should be done with the consent of user" is the reason of it to be flawed cuz u can immediately turn it off or change the way

      Linux isn't flawless. Updated my Ubuntu Mate and it broke the network manager and the GUI.

    You can disable the bios update just by disable driver update in advance setting of my computer and also via group edit policy

      The point is NOT to disable BIOS Updates. They are necessary. Just be careful with them.

      @smortlogician9258 9 месяцев назад

      @@makingtechfriendlythey aren't really necessary.
      If you just look at the changelogs they are supposed to do, a whole lot of bios updates aren't really necessary unless they fix some drivers.
      I have seen some of the updates for my legion's bios which didn't really affect the system.

      @@smortlogician9258 Changelogs don't include everything. The last LOQ update fixed thermal limits in performance mode but it was never mentioned in their changelog.

      No worries, if you turned on conservation mode it means you have power backup at home so just keep your laptop plugged in at all times.

      @@MaximusShantaroWhy is that so? Did that happen because of using conservation mode? And by that, do you mean the Battery Saver/Power efficient mode in 5he OS?

    After the first week of using laptop plugged in, is it necessary to do so everytime after that?

      @makingtechfriendly  9 месяцев назад +1

      Not at all but if you have power backup at home and your laptop has conservation mode, keep it always plugged in.

      BIOS isn't bound to the Operating System you're using. It's a small system to handle everything even if there is no OS installed, or maybe not even a storage.
