  • Update: 10/20/03 - still works.
Update: Soldering the 1 burnt out connector fixed the oven.
The control board was a bit of a PIA to take apart but like some other videos showed, immediately after removing it I saw the damage / burnt out connector.
It really is a surprisingly easy fix, who wants to deal with removing / buying a new stove. In the end this cost zero $ to fix as I had the tools to solder it.

Thank you for your video. It saved us $300.00. I was just about to buy a new board but followed your video and a little bit of solder and it works great now. Thank you.

The oven on my Kenmore wasn’t working and while looking for how to troubleshoot this I watched this video - I pulled the control board coming from the backside without taking everything else apart - it was pretty easy. I found the same pin missing the solder - I watched another RUclips video on how to solder control board pins - went and bought a hot soldering iron for $50 and some solder for $8 and fixed it!!! I’ve never done this kind of fix before and couldn’t have done it without having watched this video first - thanks!!! 😊

Much more fun than figuring out how to get an oven out of your house purchasing a new one and then disposing of the old one...

Had the exact same problem and a quick solder of the connection resolved the issue. 👍👍

I'm currently in the process of replacing that blue resistor next to the relay. You should replace the relay as well. Mine looks like it caught fire

Hi, how do you gain access to the control board; did you make a video of it's disassembly?

My Oven Control Board came out of the stove top and there are no places to screw it back to the top part of the stove. How can I attach this board to the stove top? Can I use crazy glue or other adhesive to secure it back to the stove or could I purchase a new top part?

Thanks for the Video, very helpful, I have a similar problem, tried to find a replacement board, no luck, wondering where i can purchase a board.

I saw some one eBay but ended up repairing mine. However there are repair services cheaper then buying a new board. Like around 50 bux.

My PCB appears to have the same issue. How did you fix it?

Try resoldering the bad pcb through hole connection (looks like the relay). Cold solder joints become resistive and can heat up unsoldering themselves. I’ve fixed two ovens due to this problem.
