Hello! Been working super hard on the next achievement video over the past 4 weeks, but it's a giant project and still has a bit to go before its ready. Hope you enjoy the tier list video in the meantime!
I still need to thank you. You motivated me to go back to Alien Isolation after 4 years and get my final achievements. What I'm currently working on is Sifu and please get all the achievements there until next year. It is definitely a recommendation.
RUclips is how I found your channel. I don't watch Twitch too much, but I try to catch a few minutes of your stream every now and then. You deserve your success. Keep it up, Snam.
Ive done halo reach LASO solo now working on halo 2 but slowly by getting other achievements like terminals and toys to learn the maps and such but so far not too bad
Funny story, I tried beating it on the headrest difficulty. I ended up quitting for a year and eventually picked it up again. I start from my last save and forgot I had it on the hardest difficulty, I end up beating it and get blown away when I get the achievement for beating it on hard difficulty
@@steelbear2063 You can cheese it by quitting out as soon as you die and restarting. That puts you back at the last checkpoint, annoying and tedious for sure, but it is still doable solo.
Judgement is not Gears, that's one of the few hills I will die on. Though being tough, I will give it that, it's pretty much mandatory Arcade mode from Gears 3 if you only picked the super hard modifiers and didn't throw in melee only, big head mode, or pinata mode for fun.

I just finished Doom Eternal on Ultra-Nightmare. It took me a little more than a year to do. You have to memorize every level and enemy spawn, so you know when to refill amour, health and ammo. Learn to abuse glory kills for I-frames and kill every enemy as fast as possible. I only recommend it if you are a sadist and already really good at Doom. It is hell, literally.
Only really a problem during early levels because projectiles from imps, cacos and arachnatrons can easily eat away your health. Once you get access to quick switching it becomes pretty trivial to finish Still a fun difficulty to play at
I was coming to comment this myself. We normally hear Snam talk and it never matches what mini-Snam is doing in-video. Watching his voice match up with his lips is SUPER weirding me out for some reason 😂
I have done all but Halo 2's LASO solo. It is seriously the most painful thing I've ever done. Even with Halo Completionist's guides, it is soooo tricky, and you have to have such a deep understanding and mastery of the game's mechanics.
I got Mein Leben in less than 15 attempts but it was still one of the hardest achievements I've done. Don't know if it's on xbox or not but it would be awesome to see you play the C&C remastered collection on hard, it's way up there with Akumu and Mein Leben
I absolutely LOVE your videos! But I’m sorry, there is NO way in hell the Mile High Club achievement from COD 4 or solo expert mode in L4D are harder than Insane mode in Gears of war 3. The difficulty spike between 3 versus the first 2 games is astronomical! That final boss on insane almost made me break my Xbox lol.
I mean, the videos are out to watch. Your experience is very much RNG when it comes to those games specifically, even more so if you play with friends or other people online. For L4D2 for example, because of all the special infected AI basically hitting what's essentially perfect VS Mode strategies and the unpredictability of the Director plus the increased toughness of the infected, Snam going solo basically made it even harder than it would have been even with others. I think the Tank almost hitting him with a rock feet from the evac chopper *FROM THE BRIDGE* encapsulates that difficulty perfectly. Gears 3 on the other hand is hard even at normal and easy difficulty, just because of how the game is structured vs the earlier titles. Lower ammo across the board (for lore reasons which I think is cool that they made it matter in the actual gameplay), Lambent not just transforming but also guaranteed exploding on death, more miniboss style enemies, hell, more melee style enemies too in general. Where the first two games would devolve into ranged firefights often potentially, now you've got Tickers, Formers, Wretches, Serapedes, and baby Corpsers rushing in WHILE you're also fighting Locust with Hammerburst' and Lancers and other weapons. I mean, there's a reason Snam mentioned the Armored Kantus, and lets not forget the Digger. Turns out a cover ignoring explosive can really change how you play a cover based shooter. And, dunno if Snam ever caught on, but the Digger is basically a one-shot weapon if you can arc the projectile into an enemy for one of, I would argue, the best kill animations in recent years.
Oh, and forgot to mention, Mile High Club is basically a short, hard segment, you can definitely learn the strategy for it and then it gets much easier because there isn't too much RNG to it.
You gotta try a challenge with some of the souls games. Wouldn’t get you an achievement but it’d be fun seeing you take something like that on, seeing as you love making hard things harder.
Cod 4 is so easy, I dunno how people struggle with it. Even if you find it hard, the mission is only 1 minute long so if you die there’s barely any progress lost. Ethan Must Die is way harder, 20 minutes with barely any ammo and a boss battle at the end
Eyyyy, my favorite horror video game Alien Isolation reaching the top of the podium! It's that video that made me discover your youtube channel. Love these videos. I am certain I said this on your last video, but I HIGHLY recommend Spelunky 2’s 7-99 completion. It’s not technically an achievement but it is clearly the “true ending” of the game, it’s just too brutal to even be made an achievement. But it was the BEST feeling I’ve ever had in games when I finally saw my constellation. More than Pantheon 5 in HK (and took me about 4x as long to achieve, if that tells you anything). The game is a blast to play regardless, one of my favorite games ever.
Oh, Spelunky 2 is also one of the most entertaining, watchable games I’ve seen. VODs of your playing it, both in the beginning as you learn the game and as you achievement hunt, would be awesome. 1 million gold, 0 gold, reaching cosmic ocean, there are a lot of really good achievements as baby steps to the 7-99 run. All so good
I’m not sure if you would want to, but you should maybe try to do a challenge run getting all achievements on like Elden Ring, since that could be very difficult depending on the challenge
Just wait until you try Halo 2 LASO... It makes Reach look like a cakewalk. I just beat it recently, and I would highly recommend looking up guides as there are several *_necessary_* glitches/tricks that make it even remotely possible. Also make sure that you start the playlist in solo so you play through the first two missions (both cutscenes, but they don't load in coop). I would also highly recommend only doing coop for the first mission as it might just make things more difficult in later levels. It might just be the second game in S+
Holy shit, I never thought there would be an achievement you put in a list like this that I actually have, but the Brütal Legend achievement is one I got way back when I was still in High School. Such a great game and a shame we never got a sequel.
seeing this guy go from 2k subs to 300k+ i gotta say love the commitment, I used to have so much fun playing games and achievement hunting. this channel really takes me back to 2005-2010 vibes of gaming. keep keeping it real Snam!
As an Xbox fan boy at heart despite moving to pc now, I really appreciate and love each upload and seeing the humorous goofy despite the psychological torment you endure for our amusement and your own (go off king). Looking forward to what the rest of the year brings🎉❤
That's pretty awesome, I just got gears of war 4 100 hundred percent completed like 2 months ago. Also , aside from one achievement that's glitched.I have every other achievement in Halo MCC
Ah, Brytal Legends! What a game. But that achievement... hah! I generally give 'Highest Difficulty' type achievements a wide berth, unless I'm REALLY enjoying the game, AND there's a way to cheese it - usually by doing it on a New Game+ with a bunch of overpowered weapons or upgrades that completely nullifies the increased challenge and then some. Brütal Legends is literally the only game ever where I've not only gotten a 'hardest difficulty' achievement *clean,* but done so on my *first playthrough.* Simply because I'd heard that the game was extremely easy, and decided to give it a try. And, yep, it barely qualified as 'challenging', even on that difficulty, played blind.
I just recently finished the last of the MCC achievements myself. About a month ago/a month after this video released. It's tough for me to say whether CE or H2 LASO was harder for me. I think H2 would have been more difficult if my teammate hadn't been an absolute god at the game. My teammate for H1 on the other hand was maybe marginally more skilled than me at certain skips, and only counting successful attempts (ie disregarding when we quit a level partway through for the day or the server crashed), it took us well beyond your estimate on certain levels. Our time for Truth and Reconciliation was around 8 hours and our time for The Library was around 16 hours, which included each of us having a sleep break during it. And because I'm a true completionist (read: video game masochist), eventually I intend to go back and finish all the campaign playlists, which includes the ODST SLASO I haven't done yet and the LASO Master Chief Saga playlist, which due to a bug requires the last level on CE to be done on solo, otherwise Heretic and Armory won't count as complete for the playlist. All in all, my objectively most difficult achievements over my gaming career have mostly boiled down to finding a teammate who would do them with me. Doing them on solo makes some of them much harder, and LASO is certainly one of the most notable examples of that. You are an absolute beast for tackling all of these solo.
Thanks for all of the great content this year Snam, you've been helping me keep sane while I deal with school and work. I try to catch streams when I can but I'm mostly a youtube viewer. The metro series has to be some of my favourite games and ranger hardcore really helped to solidify that feeling since I enjoy the added difficulty. I also find that I just enjoy games without huds more since I've taken to beating all of the CoD's on Veteran or realistic when it's an available option. (God bless mods that allow you to disable the hud on veteran for games that don't have realism)
Man i feel like i could have a few beers with you and talk achievements for hours. Where would you rank the shadows rushed me from max payne 3? New game plus from arkham city? I think the game im most proud to have beaten was n+ (super meat boy like) theres a cheevo for die 1000 times so it should be right up your alley. Challenge to you; i dont think you can beat all of the episodes without dying 1000 times. I also think it would be impossible to beat the co-op episodes solo but you seem to like impossible. Also; alien vs predator has 3 campaigns, alien, predator, and human. Idk why but i beat the predator and alien campaigns on nightmare with ease, but couldnt get past the first level of human campaign on nightmare. Am i crazy or is there a significant difficulty spike on human? Spec ops the line the worst part of fubar was that stupid beached yacht where you got swarmed by a bunch of normals and 3 heavies the rest wasnt too bad. Also did mile high club this year, not bad took about an hour i thought doing star 69 from MW2 solo was harder personally! Completing Dead or alive 4 campaign with every character (notorious hard/broken boss), completing all challenges in the mk9 tower, im sure theres more but i havent taken on a true challenge recently. Maybe il finally tackle cod WAW legendary ive been putting it off for years lol
Great video Snam! I really appreciate all the hard work you put in to make your videos. I also really enjoy how awesome you and the chat on the live streams. Thanks Snam!
I just wanted to say thank you for the laughs. I can’t imagine how much those achievements sucked especially the permadeath ones. You inspired me to start 100%ing the games I own, starting with COD. Bo1 and bo2 veteran is done. WaW fucking sucks. I’m at 250 deaths and I still have four missions left. I’ll have have more deaths than you did. 😅 Keep up the good work. 😊 Can’t wait to see the next challenge!
1) I don't think Limbo deserves to be that high on the list. 2) I think Gears 3 on Insane deserves to be a tier above Gears 1/2 & Judgment. Of those, Gears 3 on Insane is the only achievement which eludes me (on account of the final boss). 3) Clearing out all 50/50 achievements on Vanquish on the 360 is probably one of my proudest accomplishments for pushing through when I was ready to throw on the towel.
I’ve done all the mainline halos. I have MCC 100%. Was 34th on TA to do so. I’m missing the wars and Spartan games and Vista h2. Just completed Hero rank on Infinite so next I’m gonna finish off the Chinese version of MCC. In about half way through that now. But it has 4 unobtainable achievements. Got the lasos done. Couple missions away from monopolized, then I gotta do MP achievements
Have you considered branching out into other genres? Street Fighter 6 and Raiden IV have achievements should be pretty doable for someone who isn't super familiar with those genres, with some work. And there are plenty of silly-hard achievements in other games in those genres to work up to. Pinball games could be interesting, but each DLC table tends to have its own set of achievements and that can add up to ridiculous levels, like Zaccaria's 4820 achievements on Steam.
...If you have the time or even the want to do it, try Ender lilies. I've barely gotten through chapter 2. It's like Hollow Knight and Dark Souls (or Bloodborne) had a kid. There is almost NOTHING on this game, no guides, and because I have it on my switch, I have no idea what the hardest achievement is.
rain world's "nathandriel". maybe not your style of games + you have to buy the dlc plus fully complete "which takes like 80 hours" but it would definetly be tough enough for you.
I’ve full completed MCC. Apolarcat on TA, we’re actually friends on there. I’m in the group that Halo 1 is the hardest LASO, but IMO the hardest campaign in the game is the Halo 2 legendary speedrun. Monopolized really tested my spirit. Keep at it I hope to see your name on that list of full completions one of these days.
I am one of those people who got 7000G in halo MCC, and I can verify that for me Halo Combat Evolved LASO was harder than Halo 2 LASO. It was close, but I would give Combat Evolved the edge.
You loved Alan Wake, so you should do Control! It’s set in the same universe and is SUCH a fun game. Also, even if it might not be the most challenging thing, but The Last Of Us permadeath mode will probably scratch that itch of yours, the second game on its hardest difficulty is a 45+ hour ordeal sooooooo it meets your requirement of frustration
Gears and COD is really easy on insane diff. The enemy has limited amount of spawns and no timer. Just go slow and wait for all them to come out. Easy. Now L4D zombies never stop coming. That was hardest achievement I ever got.
Hi snam just wanted to let You know that RUclips won't stop suggesting "sandwiches + (Game You played) whenever i try to look up your channel. You are officially the Sandwich man
I beat Outlast on Nightmare without reloading batteries or hiding in a locker. My roommates had some people over and I ended up sharing that moment with a screaming drunk crowd. And 1999 mode on bioshock infinite without using vending machines. That took a whole summer back in high school. Worth it. I think those are my two toughest achievements
Doesn’t make sense to arbitrarily increase difficulty for an achievement tier list. Like if you wanted to do a challenge tier list then it would fit fine, like how people do “can you beat game x with the worst weapon”. But with achievements, you should judge them based on how the official achievement is obtained.
Personally, out of all the games listed here, Halo is the S+ Tier for me, especially if you're playing Laso in solo mode. It's quite unforgiving, though, I get that Alien Iso is quite hard due to the perma death and restart the whole game again. However, with Halo Laso (Solo) it's pretty much nearly the same thing, but, for the level not the entirety of the game.
You have to beat all halo games SLANSO not LASO for MCC right? At least i remember them updating it to so you werent allowed to use beneficial skulls anymore, and you have to do it solo.
Halo CE's LASO sucks because that game was never designed with skulls in mind and the ones they added in CEA were really cruel and stupid. Not bring able to use covenant weapons and using double the ammo almost breaks the entire game. You practically need to use ammo glitches to beat it in solo.
Suggestions: Resident evil 3 on Inferno S+ rank, no bonus items and no saves Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Hard mode and all combat sims without using materia.
I'm one of the 0.1% who did energiser on Xbox :D I agree that its not that hard now (I'm 22), but I did it when I was 14 and it was crazy. I can't believe its been 8 fucking years. You should do Outlast II, messiah (same achievement) was way harder imo. They've nerfed a couple of sections so its not as bad now as it was in launch.
Why limit yourself to PC and xbox? Sony have a lot of good exclusives, play them get the trophies and add these games to your tier list in the future. Really do not understand why people limit themselves this way. Achievements are the same as trophies in fact you could still title the video the same way in that regards.
Have you touched to the darksoul franchise yet? No hit challenge would make it so hard, even bloodborn was considered impossible until one man successfully did it after weeks of tries. But I would not recommend you to play them for these achievements if you want to upload more often.
Outlast is by far the easiest on this list. The enemy paths are pretty much all scripted. I've completed it years ago and I still remember exactly how to beat the entire game on Insane difficulty. It's like a fun haunted house every time I revisit Mount Massive Asylum.
This video was just a god tier achievement hunter insulting my skills for not having almost any of these achievements myself :( Great video Mr. Sandwich man!
It’s always fun going for the hardest trophies in games. Going the deathless hard mode run in Alien Isolation is still one of my favorite things I’ve done. (But I did save scum many times cause I ain’t starting over)
god forbid you ever decide to platinum certain final fantasy games(yes im talking about you 9). you would genuinely create another category just for that game alone.
Awesome stuff, so basically you eat masochism for breakfast sir, also i feel validated seeing Alien Isolation in S+, thought it would be lower i don't know why, its so bloody hard
games i would take years to even try to finish he puts in D tier lmao. Im no longer a hunter myself but I was when i was a kid and gamestop was still in its prime. Gamestop made it way more fun and easy to try games you usually never would and sometimes i would pick some where the list is so easy.. or impossible lol but that was all part of the fun when i was gamming as a kid. Now I just Grind D2 and still stuggle at that being a solo player.
I would love to see you do Halo LASO solo. The iron skull changes from reverting to the last checkpoint to restarting the level if you're solo, which makes it soooooo much harder.
Ace Combat 7. It has some pain in the ahh achievements. To get all the medals, you have to complete one campaign with just guns, and another campaign without getting hit once by enemy fire. I tried to do both at the same time but gave up on the last level on not getting hit and guns. You can save scum though. It's rather fun though i think.

3:18 I can't believe that worked 😂
Just wait until you try Halo 2 LASO... It makes Reach look like a cakewalk. I just beat it recently, and I would highly recommend looking up guides as there are several *_necessary_* glitches/tricks that make it even remotely possible. Also make sure that you start the playlist in solo so you play through the first two missions (both cutscenes, but they don't load in coop). I would also highly recommend only doing coop for the first mission as it might just make things more difficult in later levels. It might just be the second game in S+
20:54 I feel this is gonna be put out of context real quickly
Holy shit, I never thought there would be an achievement you put in a list like this that I actually have, but the Brütal Legend achievement is one I got way back when I was still in High School. Such a great game and a shame we never got a sequel.
Gears stans rise up
seeing this guy go from 2k subs to 300k+ i gotta say
love the commitment, I used to have so much fun playing games and achievement hunting. this channel really takes me back to 2005-2010 vibes of gaming. keep keeping it real Snam!
You're honestly a great youtuber with great content! Some of those achievements are truly taxing, so I'd just like to say, Thank You!
Love for you to do the Witcher 3
Keep up the good work. 😊
Can’t wait to see the next challenge!
You are officially the Sandwich man
Snamwhiches: *Places Spec Ops in C tier*
Me who considers MFWIC the hardest achievement I've ever gotten: 😰
Not sure if this was suggested before, but try Superior Species in Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem.
40% skill, 60% luck. 100% frustrating.
did you ever played Welcome to the game 2 for PC? There is a archievement called "GodGamer"....well, THIS IS GODLESS!!! Honestly
You have to beat all halo games SLANSO not LASO for MCC right? At least i remember them updating it to so you werent allowed to use beneficial skulls anymore, and you have to do it solo.
I think my favorite 7/10 game would be quantum break. It's has really fun gameplay mechanics and the story is very gripping and exciting.
Halo CE's LASO sucks because that game was never designed with skulls in mind and the ones they added in CEA were really cruel and stupid. Not bring able to use covenant weapons and using double the ammo almost breaks the entire game. You practically need to use ammo glitches to beat it in solo.
Suggestions:
Resident evil 3 on Inferno S+ rank, no bonus items and no saves
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Hard mode and all combat sims without using materia.
I would love to see you do a CRPG deathless, pathfinder kingmaker on the last azlanti is most assuredly impossible on the Unfair difficulty.
11:02 oops, i just recently got the Energiser achievement before watching this video, sorry Snam!
Super meat boy is definitely doable, just bear in mind to sacrifice 30 years of your life to rage and THE COTTON ALLEY
I'm trying to 100% The Evil Within and my Akumu run should be done without upgrading in order to get both the achievements I'm missing.
If you want a hard achievement to go for, Fly The Coop from Grand Theft Auto IV is a really good one. Alpha vs Omega from Dead Rising is good as well
This video was just a god tier achievement hunter insulting my skills for not having almost any of these achievements myself :(
Great video Mr.
Sick list. Yeah, I'm not planning on going near some of these. Just curious how many hours do you think you have in Alien Isolation?
