Dead Space 2 on Hardcore was a trip. I used my last save right before the final boss because I was afraid of choking the last QTE with the ship (I did😂)
@@Snamwiches I’ve always wanted to try it, cause y’know, I hate myself, any advice for keeping my sanity in the process if I ever finally try to go for it?
@@arthurfleck629 I have spent too many hours of my life thinking about this. Step 1: play through on survivor or zealot to jog your memory of the game! Try out different weapons to see what you like, take note of spots you struggle on to potentially make saves for in HC, and get good at using statsis, and cutting blades off necromorphs to fire back at them. Practice catching puker and spitter spit and throwing it back at them! General combat tip: Stalkers can only come at you one at a time, and the one that’s attacking will howl before running at you, so be alert and you’ll never get hit!! Also, that super hard section where Ellie is trying to unlock the door and you’re fighting off waves of necromorphs? Literally just run around in circles and don’t kill anything. The initial wave is kids, and you can outrun them. If you don’t kill any, more won’t spawn in. (inLove!! Posted a no damage zealot run playthrough I studied for my HC run, and this blew my mind) Hell, I strongly recommend that video, the level of play gives you some good ideas of how to master this game Stick to plasma cutter and one other gun. The Javelin gun is a great pick because it does a ton of damage and it’s alt fire is great crowd control for kids. Stasis is KING and should be upgraded and used liberally. Enemies in this game are designed to be fast and overwhelming, so slow ‘em down a bit😈😈I’ve done HC with just plasma cutter and stasis (well, until the end) At the end of the game, respec your second weapon to buy and upgrade a CONTACT BEAM. The AOE alt fire with stasis trivializes the government sector, and the main fire is insane damage. You can see these weapon choices in the playthrough I mentioned putting in WORK. If you’re playing on any Xbox console, you also get 4* saves. The original 360 version had two discs, and at Chapter 7 the game is programmed with a fixed save for that transition. This works on Series X, S, Xbox One, all of ‘em. My saves were chapter 7*, before drill ride, before eye machine, and the last save station right outside the boss fight My saves are way different than what’s normally recommended but that’s why I say to play it and see what you struggle with the most! I thought Snam’s saves were kooky as hell, as he would think mine, but we both got the job done. And most importantly, HAVE FUN, I am confident in saying this is the best game ever made, it is an absolute treat even on a frustrating challenge run.
Man. I have to agree with placement of Bioshock Infinite. I did this achievement a month ago because I was doing whole series 100% and my God this achievement was a nightmare. I was about to rage quit it out of just pure annoyance but I am glad I push through this horrible achievement. Like 1999 difficulty feels like baby mode compare to this one. I manged to do entire L4D2 100% on Steam. Didn't do solo expert but still that game is hard as hell. Congrats on doing it solo. Other one I did 100% was Portal 2 being my second ever 100% after Portal 1. That one wasn't hard really but again gotta give credit for trying solo. I can't really comment on other games since I haven't done them 100% but all I can say is that the list is impressive. I can't wait for Super Meat Boy Devil May Cry 5 and everything else you do. Keep up the good work!
I don't know why, but I really like your work and style, and you are one of the few You Tubers that I have been following since I found you. I wish you the best
Great video Snam and congrats for one year on RUclips! I only started watching your content two months ago but let me just say that I love it. Watching all of your suffering and triumphs has managed to inspire me to get back into achievement/trophy hunting after a long break due to college (I’m currently working on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and plan to soon finish all the VR missions in Metal Gear Rising). Also, as someone who loves hack and slashes let me just say that I’m hyped to see you get all S-Ranks in DMC 5. I wish you the best of luck in that endeavor, alongside Wolfenstein 2, and can’t wait to see what achievement you manage to conquer next!
As someone who watches every vid but doesn't have the most amazing memory I really appreciate you editing in clips and references to vods instead of just talking head over the tier list
I just recently got the Dead Rising platinum. One my my favorite childhood games, always wanted to platinum it. I was able to get the 7 Day Survivor trophy on the first try- thankfully
I did the Mile High Club achievement back when COD 4 came out. It was so frustrating, and I just got lucky spamming grenades in different places and creeping forward. I think there was a mission where I had to protect someone, and I remember placing him underneath something and luckily it helped to save him. What sucks is that I didn't know what achievements were, so I got the achievement on my brother's Xbox 360, and when I finally got my own console, I didn't even bother transferring the gamertag to my own Xbox 360, so my achievement is lost forever. I do have the remake of the game on my Series S, so I may try it again. Maybe.
I’ve done quite a few of these achievements myself, including Left 4 Dead 2 expert realism (with one friend) and all radiance in Hollow Knight, and I just wanted to say that I 1000% agree with your take on all radiance. I’ve been playing hard games for 20 years, and nothing comes close to radiance-difficulty Absolute Radiance. Even after beating all other radiance fights and steel soul 100%, it still took two weeks, three hours a night, to beat AbsRad once. Hearing you express your own struggle with AbsRad made me relive that insane dopamine rush from my own victory against that beast. One thing I’d add to your justification on AbsRad is that the bastard screams at you and flashbangs you with a bright white title card before *every single attempt.* It made the grind so much harder than other fights, like built in sensory depravation before being thrown to a shark. That said, if anybody out there is gearing up for their own steel soul 100% run, I would strongly recommend actually giving radiance or attuned runs in the pantheon a try first. Bosses are the main (and basically the only) choke points in the run, so practicing harder versions of the bosses than what you’ll face will make steel soul pretty doable, easy even. Remember as well that the “fragile charms” are very powerful in steel soul because death is off the table anyway. Best of luck!
I don't see many people talking about it here - congrats on radiant godhome man. That thing is brutal. Honestly my most annoying boss to radiant was actually the Obblobbles.
Well I thought the tier list was gonna include how fun they were to attempt, but that wasn't it, which means we need ANOTHER tier list. Love your content ❤️
I love the pride the rises in snams voice when he explains the challenge he did to beat it takes two. Me and my girlfriend hated the level with the angler fish so I could only imagine doing it by yourself.
Honestly, the fact you did Ethan Must Die and Hell of a Sheriff on controller too is a real testament cause i mean im a fairly experienced gamer and i struggled with them on MnK, love the content and am excited for the Re6 vid
Hey Snam, the Callisto protocol got some new updates and new achievements along with a harder difficulty and permadeath! Should give the new ones a go :) Love the vids
I’m genuinely glad I found your channel, never thought that one day I’ll enjoy watching an achievement hunter, last time i tried watching similar content was many years ago, and I’m really having fun watching you play dude, keep up the good work, can’t wait for Wolfenstein 2 !
Amazing tier list Snam, thank you for all the fun videos to watch over the last year. Also, how did I miss the all radiance challenge? Gonna watch that now, thanks!
That was before RUclips unfortunately so the footage doesn’t exist besides a few clips remaining on twitch. Super bummed about it but maybe I’ll do something like it again with Silksong!
My hardest "Trophy" (yes, I'm a PS4 player) is Mein Leben. This is pure hell with unskippable cutscenes but if you know the game, it should be easier, but it's still long and stressful (it took me at least 16th try for a 3 hours game non-stop with no save). But in a certain way, that can be pretty fun. And good luck for this achivement.
I have been watching you over the last couple of months and watched all of you videos. Well done my friend. I am no achievement hunter but I do complete every game a play and do not have the patience to go back and reply usually. I admire your persistence and efforts! ❤
As a fellow achievement/trophy hunter, I know first hand for a few just how much of an achievement getting them is. Also plan on going for a few of these, and the way you talk about and describe them makes me excited to go for em myself, great vid man keep em coming.
I enjoy Dead Space 2 so thoroughly, that I replay Hard To The Core every so often. It’s literally just playing the game, and not even on the most difficult settings. Max upgrades on The Pulse Gun and Line Gun, with Contact Gun equipped just to sell its ammo. And choosing your save points is crucial. Don’t save too early. But go ahead and wait for your third save for right before the Eye machine. I feel like if you love that game, it’s the best way to play. You have second highest difficulty enemies, highest difficulty resources, and a less arduous permadeath. Love it.
Oh man, I was so sure Pantheon 5 would be an automatic S-tier, that is a brutal achievement. I think you have a warped view of it due to playing it for so many months getting those zero hit boss runs done :P. Nice list though, I’ve got a few of the higher ones.
Hollow Knight being featured 3 times, speaks volumes about the game (2x A and one S). It is meant to be that hard. I have been speedrunning this game for over 2 years now. As a Pantheon Specialist who has done all sorts of no-hit challenges, I can say that It is absolutely brutal and unforgiving, and that's what I love about it. Super Hard but fair. I love showing off my 112% Steelheart save with all people still in Dirtmouth, all Radiant Pantheons, and Hall of God fights. Hat off to you old chap. Snam became a real Knight and a better Gamer through those challenges.
I usually find these tierlist videos to be exceptionally boring. Well, you got the achievement for making one that's super entertaining as well! Good luck on future runs! Really looking forward to the DMC5 one.
I know exactly what DMC 5 achievement you will go after. And I wish you good luck. Also, I recommend a tough Achievement. From Darkest Dungeon, "In the old road, we found our redemption", for finishing the game and taking the starting characters the game gives you to the final battle. That, or the one for beating "Stygian mode".
Hey btw 18:36 to unlock the achievement you do 1 campaign with realism and expert i think you got confused with something to prove which you had to do all 4 campaigns on expert no realism but if you did it for personal gain that’s cool :)
I actually quite enjoyed Akumu, had about 3 or 4 playthroughs and decided to go for it and aside from a few breakpoints, the key ones being the start, cabin and the gondola. It was quite simple, I'd probably put it high b or low A personally. My S tier achievement recommendation for you would be LASO Halo MCC, that was a journey of pain for myself.
Doing every boss on Radiant in Hollow Knight definitely took some years off my life. Most of them weren’t too bad imo, but Radiant Absolute Radiance and Markoth were insane. The only thing that I’d put above that was doing everything in Doom Eternal on Ultra Nightmare without any super weapons or chaingun shield. All campaigns and all Master Levels. That was a several month long affair.
Currently throwing myself at the wall that is Radiant Absolute Radiance It’s honestly stupid how hard it is, it makes Radiant Markoth, Radiant GPZ and Radiant Obblobles look easy
About your comment on Gears of War being easier with a friend, a few years ago a friend and I decided to play every installment together on Insane. Playing with a friend is useful as long as your friend isn't ass at Gears, which he was, and it took us 6 months to beat all 5 mainline games and Judgement. It was a complete hair pulling nightmare. We then decided to do Halo 2 on co-op with 8 skulls on, which took another 4 months. I'm not even going to bother describing that. Also about Alien: Isolation, playing on PS4 my main problems were fighting the weird controls and frame drops, not the enemies.
You have to do the achievement in just cause 3, requiring you to get 5 gears in every single challenge. It’s super fun; but there are a couple that are super frustrating but satisfying when you finish them.
Play some halo and come back to this. The MCC is a beast of its own so play the individual games themselfs… I 100% reach prior to dlcs releases adding multiplayer achievements, 100% combat evolved remastered, only needed a couple scoring achievements on firefight maps in odst, and I’ve had 2 different accounts get less then 10 achievements left in halo 3(79 achievements to complete)… The real challenge are the 6 vid master achievements between halo3 and odst…which was the only way to get recon armor back then.
The Hell of a Sheriff one was a funny one for me. I bought a bunch of beer, ordered some wings and was prepared to spend the entire day working on it, only to beat it my first attempt of the day
I’m glad RUclips recommended your videos to me from the start. I look forward to much more suffering, and if you do achievements with viewers, I volunteer as tribute!
I've done a few of these myself. I'd probably have to say for me personally, the L4D campaigns were the hardest. My wife and I clapped all them eventually. But I also hear playing co-op is harder since there are a lot of exploits you can't do.
Prouf owner of Evil Within Akumu achievements, only achievements I actually chased, usually, I don't care. It was hard, and I am "happy" that you put it pretty high as well! For the other, you are a madlad!
Snam I'd love to see you go for the crypt of the necrodancer plat, I'm kinda attempting it too and i need that mental boost to get through the challange!
Man I’d honestly be so down if I had the time. From what I hear it takes like 1000 hours to even get good enough to even attempt that lol. Good luck on your attempts though man, it’ll be so fucking sick of you end up completing it!
With l4d2, the bots and director are cringe. But your positioning is the biggest thing. You really want something solid at your back when hordes rush. And special infected are either luck or quick reactions. Also, melee weapons are damn near mandatory for frowd control.
I achievement hunt and in all honesty the hardest and longest achievements that I have ever gotten are seriously 3.0 for gears of war 3 and seriously 5.0 chapter 2, I don't recommend doing it unless if you are a huge fan of the series
You should at some point attempt Dead God from the binding of Isaac. Not only is it somewhat tedious but it is a fun and extremely difficult challenge depending on if you’re able to master the mechanics of certain characters
Oh man I really wish you had a Celeste video out there for me to watch. Hands down one of my favourite games. If you wanted to torture yourself even more, the Farewell expansion is some of the hardest but most rewarding content in the entire game, and adds a bunch of new gameplay elements and introduces yet another ‘new’ mechanic that’s entirely based off the core move set. There aren’t any trophies for it unfortunately though, only on the PC version I believe! But it’s still 100% worth giving a shot
As a proud recipient of Embrace the Void from Hollow Knight, I can effectively say that challenge is NO JOKE. While it only took me about 30 hours from start to end to finish the Godhome portion of the game, (About 15 or so for Pantheon V) there are few experiences in gaming quite like it. Still my console wallpaper to this day :)
This is a great idea ranking achievements :D Only done 3 from this list Left 4 Dead (Steam version) Gears Of War 1 (360 version) Resident Evil 2 Remake (PS4 version) Out of those 3 I'd say Gears 1 was hardest judging from all the deaths you would have in seconds, just remembering makes me shiver.
Respect for the achievement hunts. I used to grind games for those achievement points, but now with so many games I just play for fun. I have a job and stuff, but I hate when people act like they are sooooo busy with work and they don't have time to play games. Just be honest and say you would rather binge Netflix 3 hours a night lol, or just say playing games isn't your thing. I work two jobs and overtime and still have time to play games. Went on a tangent for no reason haha.
wow i did not expect the WaW Veteran to be that high, but then again, the death sound from that game is still burned into my memory several years later

Dead Space 2 on Hardcore was a trip. I used my last save right before the final boss because I was afraid of choking the last QTE with the ship (I did😂)
If only I had a save there too haha, congrats on getting it!
(inLove!! Posted a no damage zealot run playthrough I studied for my HC run, and this blew my mind)
Hell, I strongly recommend that video, the level of play gives you some good ideas of how to master this game
Stick to plasma cutter and one other gun. The Javelin gun is a great pick because it does a ton of damage and it’s alt fire is great crowd control for kids. Stasis is KING and should be upgraded and used liberally. Enemies in this game are designed to be fast and overwhelming, so slow ‘em down a bit😈😈I’ve done HC with just plasma cutter and stasis (well, until the end)
At the end of the game, respec your second weapon to buy and upgrade a CONTACT BEAM.
My saves were chapter 7*, before drill ride, before eye machine, and the last save station right outside the boss fight
My saves are way different than what’s normally recommended but that’s why I say to play it and see what you struggle with the most! I thought Snam’s saves were kooky as hell, as he would think mine, but we both got the job done.
And most importantly, HAVE FUN, I am confident in saying this is the best game ever made, it is an absolute treat even on a frustrating challenge run.
DS2 on hardcore was easy af. Not sure how people had trouble on it. Zealot can go to hell tho.
@@CrabbyCakes702I got platinum and beat DS2 hardcore within a week of the game releasing
I can't wait for Super Meat Boy
Devil May Cry 5 and everything else you do.
Sheeesh good luck with MGR, looking forward to doing that myself sometime too!
As someone who watches every vid but doesn't have the most amazing memory I really appreciate you editing in clips and references to vods instead of just talking head over the tier list
Back in the day, I placed 10 or 11 in the world for mile high club on veteran difficulty. Shit took part of my soul to get that
Sheeeeeeesh that’s crazy impressive though
@@Snamwiches not as impressive as your patience with some of your achievements 😂 god like patience you have lmao
Would be great to see a follow up to this video with the new achievements added to the list
Great video but I noticed you didn’t rank the press start achievement from The Simpsons Game??
Some things are too hard even for me 😞
I love the pride the rises in snams voice when he explains the challenge he did to beat it takes two.
Please attempt to go for Battlefield 3’s Bullseye trophy, it would make a really good video honestly
I don’t remember that trophy, what do you need to do to unlock it?
@@arthurfleck629have to rescue all hostages without alerting any enemies in the mission Drop ‘em like liquid
Snam, you are a true hero of the achievement hunting community
Halo MC LASO might be an S tier if you get around to it. Absolutely brutal
Hey Snam, the Callisto protocol got some new updates and new achievements along with a harder difficulty and permadeath! Should give the new ones a go :) Love the vids
Probably gonna wait for all the DLC to come out first, but very down to revisit it!
The L4D2 playthrough is probably my favorite video on this channel.
L4d2 expert on realism is hell, took me 2 days to beat one campaign with 3 friends. Can’t imagine doing it by yourself
As someone who is currently working on Left 4 Dead 2.
All I can say is.. Yes.
Love it.
I tried expert realism once I’m never ever going to put myself through that again. I salute the fact that you didn’t give up
If your reading this on 05/31 recently after publish, Snam is live on Twitch.
Oh man, I was so sure Pantheon 5 would be an automatic S-tier, that is a brutal achievement. I think you have a warped view of it due to playing it for so many months getting those zero hit boss runs done :P.
Nice list though, I’ve got a few of the higher ones.
I truly think I’m the only person in the world that thinks of Panth 5 that way. Bosses were soooo easy after beating them on radiant
Great video as always. Plus love The Ridge offer!
Congrats on the channel dude. Been here from the start!
Love you Snam!! Here's to more great content:)
If you ever attempt Halo MCC, you will give it its own tier.
Radiant Radiance took me longer than all the other bosses combined 😭 Also holy shit grats on the crazy Doom challenge too!
Currently throwing myself at the wall that is Radiant Absolute Radiance
It’s honestly stupid how hard it is, it makes Radiant Markoth, Radiant GPZ and Radiant Obblobles look easy
Snam: S tier is looking a little bare
Me: oh Snam you aren't ready for the dunwall city trial achievements (on xbox)
Thanks!
highly underated chanel here, love your content so much i have binged all of it now, hope to catch you streaming one day keep it up snam!!
Halo LASO would be S tier. you should try it
About your comment on Gears of War being easier with a friend, a few years ago a friend and I decided to play every installment together on Insane.
I remember beating Dead Space 1 and 2 on Hardcore. It’s a relief when it’s finally over.
Play some halo and come back to this. The MCC is a beast of its own so play the individual games themselfs…
I 100% reach prior to dlcs releases adding multiplayer achievements, 100% combat evolved remastered, only needed a couple scoring achievements on firefight maps in odst, and I’ve had 2 different accounts get less then 10 achievements left in halo 3(79 achievements to complete)…
The real challenge are the 6 vid master achievements between halo3 and odst…which was the only way to get recon armor back then.
The Hell of a Sheriff one was a funny one for me. I bought a bunch of beer, ordered some wings and was prepared to spend the entire day working on it, only to beat it my first attempt of the day
I'm proud to have accomplished the Left for dead 2 achievement. I also completed World at War on veteran difficulty for fun when I was 8.
Give lost planet 1 all medals on extreme a go that was insane
Brooo... your still my favorite gaming youtuber. Keep up the awesome content!!!
Haven't watched it yet and I know you did a good job on this one 👍
Ayy I’ll take it LOL
Huge respect for completing DS2 hardcore
You're such a dude! Channel is blwoing up and its amazing to see! 😁
Soooo happy I found your channel. Very fun and very funny! And very impressive! Looking forward to more! Particularly Devil May Cry!
Me too! Love that game even though I’m terrible at it
Snam I'd love to see you go for the crypt of the necrodancer plat, I'm kinda attempting it too and i need that mental boost to get through the challange!
Man I’d honestly be so down if I had the time. From what I hear it takes like 1000 hours to even get good enough to even attempt that lol. Good luck on your attempts though man, it’ll be so fucking sick of you end up completing it!
I’ve got the devil may cry 5 platinum and honestly it was one of the most fulfilling trophies I have ever got
With l4d2, the bots and director are cringe. But your positioning is the biggest thing. You really want something solid at your back when hordes rush. And special infected are either luck or quick reactions. Also, melee weapons are damn near mandatory for frowd control.
I can't wait to see you play Gears of War 3 and Gears of War Judgement on Insane Difficulty.
Love your content, always waiting for a new video, as a 360 player i enjoy your videos very much, keep up the good work!
"I suck at video games."
*beat every Hollow Knight boss on Radiant*
That's no small feat, and means you definitely don't suck at video games. (=
I like this guy
Does tough challenges
Damn near unbreakable spirit
Looks like that angel from supernatural
This is a great idea ranking achievements :D Only done 3 from this list
Left 4 Dead (Steam version)
Gears Of War 1 (360 version)
Resident Evil 2 Remake (PS4 version)
Out of those 3 I'd say Gears 1 was hardest judging from all the deaths you would have in seconds, just remembering makes me shiver.
I love you man! That was just the video I was looking for!
Oh man even the ad is funny! You're a natural Snam
As I always say on your streams, I love your content. Keep up the good work my friend
wow i did not expect the WaW Veteran to be that high, but then again, the death sound from that game is still burned into my memory several years later
