- Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class experience. This is my first ever youtube flight review on SIA Business class. This flight was SQ 322, from Singapore to London in Oct 2013. Singapore Airlines (SQ) was the first airline in the world to fly the Airbus A380 Superjumbo. The A380 is a beautiful plane, extremely powerful yet quiet.

This version of the A380 comes with an all upper class Business Class deck. Earlier versions had a mixed upper deck with both Business and Economy classes.
Singapore Airlines is also famed for its 'Book the Cook' Service, where Business/First/Suites travellers can choose from a long list of fine cuisine, specially created for Singapore Airlines by a panel of international culinary experts. On this flight from Singapore to London, I experience what is arguably the most famous 'Book the Cook' main course - the Lobster Thermidor!

Wow . I love how spacious Business Class is. Flown SIA a lot of times and have to say that I love their service and everything . Best airlines ever.

I flew from SIN to Heathrow in May 2012. Still one of the most amazing and unforgettable flight experience in my life time. It was for a work trip and I don't know if I will ever get a chance to experience this again. I can tell you that it was the fastest 12 hour flight, when it was about time to land, I couldn't believe it was over. I actually wanted to stay on longer. I'd been on United from Newark to Hong Kong on business class and even on that I felt like I want to get out of the plane around the 8 hour mark.

Sometimes, there are empty seats for Business class and during the flight...1x the flight attendant ask me if I wanted to switch from economy. It was crowded in economy. Cool flight and the only time I flew in first class:-)

hmmm...seems like the same menu when we travelled way back October 2012..heathrow to manila..same menu... ordered lobster thermidor too ;)
Lobster thermidor is only available through the Book-the-Cook service. You have to order it before the flight. The lobster is one of the more popular and famous dishes.

ok so i have a question. I've never flown first or business class but with all these courses you get for dinner how long does a business/first meal service last for? Like it must be over an hour or something right? or do they rush you through it?
They won't rush you on long-haul. However, many passengers on red-eye long haul flights want faster service so that they can get some sleep. Some pax even choose to forgo dinner completely and sleep once the seat-belt sign is turned off. They inform the flight attendants before hand.

Food looks good. I prefer B.A. business on the 747 (which I use regularly) as the cabin is much more intimate.

Thanks for your comment. In response to your question, there was not much by the way of amenity kits. They only gave out eye masks and socks. Definitely no pajamas. I think only first class passengers get pajamas.

Honestly, it was accidental. I was thinking of how to make it full screen!
Here is what happens for me. I take the video with my camera, which is a Sony RX 100II. The format is AVCHD video.
I use the free Windows LIVE movie maker to edit my video clips. Thereafter, I publish them onto my computer at a fairly high resolution, and the file is *.wmv file.
Then I upload the file into RUclips.
Perhaps it has something to do with how Windows LIVE movie maker processes AVCHD video files?

To answer your other questions, this trip was on Business. So I did not have to foot the bill.
I thought that the seat was ok, I didn't find it too hard. The seat can recline quite a lot using the electronic controls, even without turning it to the bed.
I realised that Lobster Thermidor is not widely available on Book the Cook -
only available for flights out of Singapore, at least on Business Class. For First, it is available out of Sydney.

Thanks for your comment. The lego figurines belonged to my young kids. It is not easy to leave the family behind for a business trip. However, these days, with technology, I can do fun and kiddy things to entertain them from the other side of the world.

Great video! I really enjoyed it. I like the fork in the food rolling! That's hilarious. What did you think of the seat when sitting? I found it very hard, but to sleep was fine. Did you find the seat narrow and hard to sit though? I wanted to get the lobster thermodor on the SFO-HKG and return leg, but the book the cook did not offer it on this route, unfortunately. It looked quite delicious. Did you go for vacation or business, and did you pay cash or use miles for the flight? Very nice video!

I think only few Airlines services give to fully hospitality or worth to pay for their tickets.
Definitely one a them is 'SINGAPORE AIRLINE'
..Take off to landing they are Smooth and Sweet like Emirates and Qatar Airways.

Only 444 kts. That seems kind of slow. did you have a big headwind?
Sorry, I can't remember. But you're right that is looked slow. The cruising speed should be 490knots.
