is there any way to get illustrator for free? i really can't afford another program right now; adobe wants to charge me another $40/month to add illustrator. i have inkscape which is a vector program. ultimately i don't get asked to do vector projects very often but i'd like to be able to have this credit on my resume.
Sir, I want to thank you, your design tutorials changed my life. I graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, and believe me when I tell you that I never had any desire or interest in it. But switching my career to a Product designer gave me a purpose, It made me do what I always loved to do as a kid which is art design. Thank you again sir you inspire me. 🙏🏾♥️
I don't often leave comments on videos, but I had to on this one. I've been a hobbyist graphic designer for over 20 years mainly using a program called NeoPaint (ever heard of it?) and occasionally a very old version of Paint Shop Pro 7. Ancient stuff, I know. I've been using Photoshop for about two years now and just two weeks ago I decided to dive into Illustrator. That first day was overwhelming, despite my history in design. As mentioned, I have been using ancient programs, but I always found "my" way to do things, so jumping into something so modern felt like a lot. Thanks to tutorials like (and especially) yours I've actually become relatively proficient in my first two weeks, though I do forget things from time to time and need to look back at tutorials. So why am I writing this? Just wanted to pass along that I'm super impressed with the way you teach. Your methods offer frequent reminders of how to actually navigate around and do things without coming across as annoying or repetitive. That's a real talent and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it as someone who is very particular about the way they learn new skills.
I can't explain how thankful I am for you. Without over exaggerating, you explain things the best of all the people I watched on YT. I have a friend of mine who really needs a proper photoshop tutorial, so If you find it as something you'd do it would mean A LOT for many people. You're an amazing human being and I wish you all the best in life. Thank you!
I really recommend accessing the course with the resources and class projects to really practice those skills and put them into practice, you upload your work to your own dashboard. It takes time, it’s not a day or 5 day course, but it’s worth it and getting the certification to place on your cv is great too. Dan is a great trainer, I have tried other illustrator courses and this is the only one I stuck with!
I cannot believe the amount of skills that this has taught me. I have paid so much for online courses & this, by far, has taught me the most. Thank you so much.
I’m from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 I wanted to learn design in Ai because i wanna create my own design and put it on Cloths. Thank you so much. I’ll start today. Much love.
Liked and followed for how great this is. I would say that the way you show us how to do things is like telling someone to open a door by grabbing the doorknob with their fingers, squeezing the knob, rotating their wrist clockwise then pulling open the door. That's exactly how I need to be taught and you've done a great job of it. Thank you so much!
I've been touting myself as a Graphic Designer for almost 20 years, done OK by the way!... I've never used Illustrator. I taught myself Photoshop and went on from there. I always managed to get what I needed from just using PS. Lately I had to unpick someone else's very detailed and quite complex .ai files and make some amends to/from them. The Illustrator interface scared the **** out of me... but I needed to learn it, its tools, quirks and functions asap. I found this video and have had the biggest awakening/lightbulb moment of all time - If I had known how to use Illustrator 20 years ago, I think I'd be a richer man! Geniune thanks for this! It's been a pleasure to watch, learn along with and has spurred some creative ideas that would've taken me hours and hours to create in PS alone! Yours truly, A new Ai convert!
Dan you are the beeeest!!! I am 17 and i am trying to learn this profession and all of the courses i took yours are always best THANK YOU for making this highest quality courses available for free!
I´m a 3D animator and videographer and although i studied graphic design a little bit, i always felt like i never quite understood the tools and the world of designers, i always had trouble with this part in my projects and also many client projects. But THIS is what i needed! GRACIAS! Greetings from Ecuador.
Guys this is an INSANE tutorial I would definitely suggest this to people of every kind, no experience to pros, u will definitely learn something no matter how experienced u are.
Dan, thankyou for the amazing illustrator and photoshop courses, both essential and advanced on udemy. I was struggling to learn and have the confidence. Those courses were all I needed.
INCREDIBLE tutorial. Best one I've ever seen for such a complex program. You made this so much easier than any other tutorial I've seen on Adobe stuff. Another thing that I love about this is that there's no blaring music that is completely distracting and off-putting.
Omg, I just spent the whole day watching the same tutorial from 4yrs ago, and absolutely loved it. Now I see this latest one, and I think want to do it all over again. That's how much I love this guys teaching style 😊
LAYERS. I'm a Fashion Designer and we use layers a lot when creating sewing patterns to separate each size: small, medium, large, etc. =) Really HELPFUL tutorials. Thank you!!!
I'm in the middle of the course and I'm really loving it. This is so fun to learn plus the way you teach is really awesome. Many thanks for this course!! 😊❤
Agreed, been loving it so far. Was messing around with illustrator without any help for few days now and while watching this course I am learning a lot!! :D
@@akahbethrand1563 I don't have it on Udemy, but with similar youtube > Udemy courses I have done in the past. Udemy courses are a lot more in-depth. So for my project I did a picture of a cow. It took me 3 hours but for a first attempt it turned out pretty good. Thanks so much for making the projects to go away and do. I leant so much and just went back to the tutorial when I got stuck. The only thing that really got me was colouring. You are amazing. thanks
Thank you for these lessons. you made me learn photoshop back in 2022, and now i am working as a graphic designer for a real estate company. My advice is learn photoshop first, then Adobe illustrator would be so much easy to learn since they are all much the same.

This is so incredebly helpful. I easily learned how to use Indesign from your tutorial, now I'm confident I can master Illustrator too, even though it always seemed like it'd be really difficult. These new skills open up so many new opportunities for me and I got them FOR FREE just from watching a few tutorials. The fact that this professional, throrough and engaging content is free to watch on the internet (and more helpful than any of the related courses in my school) is beyond amazing. Thank you so much!
This is one of the best tutorials I have ever found on any subject!
