I have this speaker set on ebay for sale now. I don't know if anyone will see this message before the auction ends, but just in case someone has an interest. I brought my GTI back to almost stock, and that is why I removed them.

no, its not a big difference. its a minor difference.

I also want to change the rear. Where can I get focal rear speakers as well? Also, if you would pick another setup now that you have focal, which one would you choose?
i would choose the Dynaudio option to begin with, instead of this Focal kit I bought. The Dynaudio starts with a lot more power to begin with, which can't be improved on a base stereo just by adding different speakers.

Do you remember what size rivets were used to install new speakers? Looking to swap Dynaudio's from 2012 Golf TDI onto a new Jetta, would rather rivet than use some sketchy screws that will come loose.

i think that is a waste of energy with this set up here, as i hear no new rattles at this time. i have dynamat GTI doors before, and its a huge pain in the butt.

Worth $430 bucks? Hard to say. I guess in all honesty, its not "worth it". But thats a personal opinion. to me, it IS worth it. Depends how many modifications you want to do to your car regarding sound.
You said you changed back to the oem speakers. Were these too quiet with the stock amplifier?

is this for premium 8 stereo 2010 vw gti or standard golf 6 4 speaker stereo
well in usa, this went in my gti which has 8 speakers. but this focal kit only replaces the front 4 anyway. you do need oem mids and tweets in front or this kit will not work.
I have focal speaker upgrade installed in my 2010 vw golf mk 6 gti and stereo effect is not as good as original speakers. the focal upgrade only replaces 2 front tweeters and 2 front door speakers shoud I replace the 4 speakers in back? does focal have a upgrade speaker kit for the speakers in back?
no, they do not. i eventually went back to the oem speakers anyway. they weren't as clean, but they were louder.
LastHumansGarage I have a MK 6 Golf R with the Dynaudio setup. Would the external amp in the Dynaudio package be able to better power the Focal speakers? I saw your comment on going back to the stock speakers & I’d hate to spend the $600 on these only to find they’re underpowered. I have a blown stock Dynaudio speaker & was hoping to upgrade without getting a full aftermarket setup. I know the Dynaudio systems have an amp that the stock setup doesn’t. If these are even more power hungry speakers than the Dynaudio amp will supply, I’ll skip them & stick to a stock Dynaudio replacement.

what is your thought on the Dyna Audio system that comes with the autobahn trim.
i like it a lot.. but i think this Focal is at the very least equal, and migth just edge it out a bit in sound quality.
if you have Dynaudio already though, i dont think the gains for $450 are really worth it. This is a kit for a base system.
yeah signed papers on a 2011 carbon steel gray 4 door GTI. Autobahn spec and i cant wait to pick it up next week.
LastHumansGarage I feel like with the factory amplifier you get from the dynaudio system would make the focal kit sound a lot nicer at higher volumes.
