  • Too many ideas today are being ignored by the very people that need to hear them most. This is frustrating if you are the one with the idea, trying your best to get your message out. If you are struggling to make the income and impact you deserve, you may be missing out on the most important communication tool used by the most effective communicators today. Start With Who is about capturing the attention of the people you want to reach by showing up every day and solving a problem for someone. Start With Who is the best approach to test a market, grow a business, create raving fans, and live a life of purpose. TEDxChilliwack 2018 took place on April 13, 2019 at G. W. Graham Theatre in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. The theme of the event was "On Purpose". Learn more at tedxchilliwack.com. For years, Jon has been aware of the disconnect between the reputation that Millennials get on the media and the amazing work they are doing all around the world. As a Millennial himself, Jon has lived to change the stereotype by living as an example to his peers and raising up leaders who are ready for the challenges of life and business in our modern world.

With due respect to the speaker as all his points are right and true as I also believe that "start with why" doesn't says about ignoring the who ( you can watch Simon sinek skillshare course as he talks about start with why and also who is important , he gives an example of a car seller there )
Start with why is not about talking about us it's about contribution and impact we do to the "WHO" (to so that statement)
On the other hand starting with who we would fake ourself to the WHO just to win them but internally we are not that person but just to win the WHO we fake it
N lastly people (who) don't know what they want as granth ford famous quote says it all

Start with who is one of the way not the only way
you don’t always have to start with the customer, but you always have to end with the customer
Eg - Amazon with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon leveraged its IT expertise and infrastructure, which was initially built for its e-commerce business, to create AWS - a suite of cloud computing services sold to enterprise customers.
