Great question I may have not cover it properly, essentially you just zip tye that mothu out of the way or you can put the car on level service lot glue in possible(customer seen a guy do that and I laughed and told him yeah you could do that lol)
I believe there are short rods on the market i know when we did this there wasnt. If your low low putting the levers all the way up would essentially make the head light level all the time. Like wise tho you could make relocation brackets if you measured your suspension travel, and relocate them to a proper distance.
That rear adjustment you take off at the beginning did you just zip tie that up out of the way? I have a headlight issue now and these are for that adjustment.
When you got this kit, did it come with 2 metal rings? Fedex tore up my package something awful delivering it, and I only got one metal ring in the package and suspect the other has been lost.
@@TheRwdyAudi I appreciate it, I threw some on my Macan and it looks way more like a Porsche now. The lower center of gravity really improved the responsiveness of the front end, it doesn't feel like it struggles with a high center of gravity now... Plus no wheel gap lol
Very nice, I gotta replace on REAR shock on my wifes 17 sq5 that is leaking.... If its just a shock I assume one bolt and 2 up top and it can drop down?
Very illustrative video brother. Hopefully you can help me or guide me. I recently changed the rear suspension on my sq5, for an eibach threaded suspension (pro street s, similar to kw). Well, I have a problem in the rear. The mechanic removed the spring with a bar like you, then inserted the new one with its thread, but he did not adjust the suspension arms at any time, he told me that it was not necessary, is this true? Now, to have the same height on both sides, I have a significant difference in the adjustment thread, on one side it is at the extension limit (I need to raise the car a little more and I cannot, it is already dangerous) and on the other side ( driver) is less than half. Something is wrong and I don't think it's the springs. Do you have to adjust suspension arms? How high did you make the adjustment? Thank you very much in advance. Greetings from Spain and Merry Christmas!
Hey thanks for the love. First any time you do suspension work you need to get the vehicle aligned afterwards. It almost sounds like your installer may have forgotten one of the oem isolators (if your kit required them 🤷♂️) that said I would recommended finding an alignment shop that SPECIALIZES in aftermarket suspension (not sure where your located, but your forums and groups are best to find shops that can do this, less of calling around) and if possible one that does corner balancing corner balancing. I hope this helps.
@@TheRwdyAudi Hello, thank you for your quick response. The installation is exactly the same as the one shown in your video and yes, the oem rubber spacers that are located on the base are well placed. I think the problem may be in the suspension arms, that's why I asked you about the adjustment you made when checking that the springs are of different sizes.
Any issues getting these to lower , I have them installed .. the rear looks great but front doesn't seem to be moving no matter how far I adjust it down
Thanks my dude 👊😎 I'm assuming you have drove it around they will settle. Also if you slam them to far your gonna get into camber issue the adjustable upper arms from 034 work great so do the stern ones for correct the camber
Putting coilovers on your car will allow you to adjust your ride height of your vehicle(amongst other things), say you want it lower with no gap in between your fender and wheels or let say you had a really heavy load and want to bring the car up in the back to keep it level you could do that as well. There's many reason to have coilovers this particular customer wanted them so he could be a stance boi
Nice set of videos. I've been thinking about doing these on my Q5. Takes away a lot of the intimidation factor. Thanks for posting!

This video is very informative! I am getting ready on how to install the v1’s probably watched this a million times to memorize it!
Is there anyway to contact you? Insta? Email?
Yes at rwdyaudi on all platforms
Thanks for this! This video is very well put together and easy to follow
thanks for the video. so there was no need to loosen the rear subframe bolts to get the springs out?
I think this guy likes AUDIs.
Just a bit 😎
Question :do you put the ride hight sensor back after installing the new suspension or leave it off tuck in the suspension?

I appreciate for the fast reply, is it possible to point where to buy shorter rods or sensor thx in the advance

Yes zip tye them in the position you want and ur head light will stay still.
Awesomesauce

More or less you might find some issue with sliding it out and it being tight fit but it will come out. Good luck
@@TheRwdyAudi i did rear pads. Not bad. I did lowering springs when i had b7 RS4 I'm sure is be fine. Thanks 👍
What kind of time frame are we looking at to do front and rear? I have springs to put in and newer rear shocks. Not sure i can do rear then front lol
I would say if this is your first go set aside a full day to knock them out and you can 100% do the front or the rear first doesn't matter
@@TheRwdyAudi rears look much easier than I was expecting!!! Best guide I have seen!!!
They are. You got this👊😎
So what do I all need for tools? 16mm 21mm pry bar. Also do you know torque specs?
And set of torx bits
Where can I get the shorter ride height level sensor ?
I believe usp and ecs where selling them.
