This was legitimately a solid reboot/sequel of a classic game. It's not particularly deep, though it has a simple, serviceable plot, fun gameplay, and challenging objectives. The cutscenes are short and sporadic, but interesting and well executed.
This is one of the few games that is actually worth going back and trying to unlock everything. Nailing down the perfect runthrough on each level, pulling off some of the more challenging jumps/shots, and boosting across the finish line under the required time limit (having completed all the objectives) is very rewarding.
Final note: You have to review the control scheme and sit through the mission introductions in order to internalize the objectives. You can't just ADHD through everything and then complain that you don't know what's going on.

Spy Hunter series are fantastic, enjoyable, and action packed games from NES to Nowhere to Run that has great characters, vehicle transformation and design, eady controls, descent plot centering around espionage and danger, and nice locations around the world. A truly epic series that sadly in 2021 has not aged well and graphics are not as good anymore but still charming, delightful, and had great memories playing these. The soundtrack is still epic and one of the best video game themes to date from P. Gunn despite this was from a tv series previous. Shame the movie wasn't made as they still need a trilogy of films for 2021 and VR game would be very enjoyable. Game still gets big 👍🏻from me.

Of the Worst Games Ever that I've watched on this channel so far, honestly this one doesn't seem all that bad. Probably one of the "best of the worst" but, from what I see, for the time it was released and the IP itself this isn't even a bad game.
Also I'm not sure if you guys are actually... gamers... being funny talking about games, you guys definitely have a talent for that. And I genuinely love your content. But tbh, half the time I think you're just trolling or derping in these WGE videos. Either that or you guys don't really play video games much.
Even if you don't know how to play, AND manage to miss all the hints on screen, most gamers just... try shit. Hit buttons, hold buttons, double tap buttons, just to see what happens. Then REMEMBER what happened so they're not shooting rockets and pissing oil (both things they've done before) in a parking garage, saying they don't know what to do.
Who would have thought playing video games would actually take SOME level of attention to detail? Baffling, I know lol
This is taking nothing away from your content, as I said I love watching these videos. Just something I've noticed. I'm not saying be a tryhard, but... put forth SOME real effort, and you might enjoy more than making fun of these properties. *shrugs*

Actually, I greatly enjoyed playing this game as a kid and teenager. The physics and controls for the Interceptor felt nimble and very responsive. While the gameplay was very linear and short, it offered a nice sense of challenge and it encouraged players to get better navigating the course and clearing all of the objectives for each stage. And in terms of a completion standpoint it offers many incentives to do perfect and speed runs for each stage such as cheats, and even extra game modes and bonuses for truly 100% the game.

The Force Awakens is a sequel and a remake, so I think its possible.

TFA is more of a reboot than a remake

    • @andyb1653

TFA was history repeating itself in the SW universe, like it does in real life. The other 2 sequels, I haven't a clue.

TFA is arguable a reboot but not a remake. Remake’s don’t follow canonically from previous films, they start a new timeline ... generally speaking 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Hey x3Jump.
Not sure you guys are playing the game properly.
You failed to find the speed boost for which the instructions on how to activate it were displayed on one of the loading screens.
Are you guys meant to be deliberately playing the 'worst games' badly to make them look crap? Anyhow, it was still an enjoyable video. 😂🤣

I remember playing the old one on nes or snes, I think. That theme is seriously awesome and was in the old one, just to clarify. It personally sounds more like a Blues Brothers song. This game is middle shelf chod, however, but in a good way.

Maybe you should have the original game before criticizing because the emulators never operate as well as the original. Other then that I had this when it first came out and it ran allot better then this crap lol love this game!

Eh, it didn't hold up well but it's not terrible. It's a silly turn off your brain game. I do prefer the old arcade game, that cabinet was fantastic.

100 is pretty hard to fathom, but this isn'ta bad game so much as they are just bad at it. Like they clearly didn't check the controls before they started playing, and even missed how to turbo even after it popped up on multiple loading screens.

The big problem with this game was the punishing objectives. Now, I would not categorize Spyhunter as one of the worst games ever - surely not anywhere near as bad as some of the other titles you have subjected yourself to - but it is a testament to how an overall competent game can be ruined by bad design choices. Cannot believe this game got that high ratings.
Dwayne Johnson did do the sequel to this, though, which was a spyhunter game with depressingly little driving in it.

I had the original NES port of the arcade game. It was fun. Had the Xbox port of this, was alright too. Tho playing it after Night rider prob clouded things lol. Many of the things you do in this are from the original game - driving into a semi, oil slicks, the weapons etc.
