Absolutely stunning, a true grail piece. Kudos to companies like A.Lange & Sohne that don’t just change a dial colour and be done with (yes, I’m looking at you Rolex with the same handful of watches 😒). There’s that pursuit of technological advances that makes A.Lange & Sohne, JLC, H.Moser & Cie, Patek and all those brands that brought some wonderful watches this year stand out from the crowd.
Beautiful watch the Lumen Tourbillon, like you can expect from Lange! Just the thickness of the case is really too thick, otherwise it would have been perfect. Price wise it’s a lot but not too bad. A lot of time and research must have been put into this watch as Lange would only accept best of the best quality before releasing it. If it had “Patek” on the dial it would probably have been close to 1 mln euros, so from that perspective the Lange is “reasonably” priced if you can afford it. Definitely a grail watch!👍
Mr. Wilhelm although I like and respect you very much, I cannot agree with you. You said you're very happy to build watches that can be worn. The Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon is amazing, but definitely is not that kind of watch. Not only is it thick and rather delicate (tourbillon complication) but above all, due to the price exceeding EUR 600,000. I cannot imagine wearing such a watch in a public place. (too high risk of loss of life or health). Everything is probably relative, because I can't afford a watch that costs 600,000 euros. And I don't have a bodyguard. The second thing, you say that honey gold is twice as hard as steel. Is this really the case? After all, it is 750 gold, even white gold with additions of palladium and rhodium is much softer than steel. Blue up/down is stunning.
600k, that's grotesque. What's the profit margin? 90% He was even ashamed to state the price. And of course you can't just buy this one. Journalists should really start asking not only the price, but the other prerequisites for being able to buy it, too.
You obviously have no idea about the amount of time and effort that goes into hand making one of these watches. Not to mention the engineering and design. The solid gold case is a not inconsiderable amount to start with. If you don't like it that's ok but don't then try to undermine it with a stupid throw away comment on profit margin.....
Yeah, so you're betting its expensive because it really costs a big chunk of the price to produce it. I bet it has must less to do with that. How do you explain his reaction when asked about the price? @@pauln0371
@@pauln0371 ok, so you think it costs them much more to produce. But saying that the gold in the case is a significant part kinda makes me doubt you have any idea, actually.
haha what they won't say on interviews is that the bundle price is about half of the watch at best, across boutiques globally especially in Asia,, SA's in Lange have been pushing older models to clear stock and even offering them as bundle pieces to as to get sales moving due to the negative responses from the massive price hikes. Richemont is turning ALS into their RM - I hope this comment gets deleted to help provide credence
Revolution has the best coverage of W&W so far! Thank you for your for taking us there!

Thanks Wei! One of my favorite high horology brand is definitely A.Lange & Sohne. Absolutely beautiful pieces especially open case backs.👍
The kings retain their crown!
That watch has serious presence. I can’t imagine how boss it is in person. Stunning.
The white-gold-blue dial Datograph is simply stunning. 🔥🔥🔥
It's both sporty and formal at the same time. Kinda of a Geminis with duality.
Magnificent 👏👏👏👏
Great work that must be admired .

It is expensive, this is the best of the best in terms of watch making.
Out of the reach of mere mortals, as Wei says, good to have a grail.
Absolute stunning.
Thank you for your coverage Wei!
Incredible watch and Wei is masterful in his knowledge - love this videos!
Sizes of these watches are like being Flavor Flav from Public Enemy...
Magnifico
Wow

Your title keeps bothering me… stop saying “new novelties”… “novelty” by default has “new” in the meaning. Such bad English I can’t

@@shuycg ignore the knucklehead.. the gold probably adds up to less than 3000 dollars.
@@pauln0371i don't know... You still can't convince me that this is worth more than a mid sized house in the US, whether in value or total T and M
