I remember when the New York Times investigated the government critically. Now, they are just one of the many mouthpieces of the government.

I always hated when people tell me this in a debate about conspiracy, " If there was a big conspiracy hidden from the public, then what can stop many people from exposing it?" Well here is an answer to all you close minded, and apathetic people. People like this guy is already exposing these conspiracies, but the vast majority of people don't care. The powers that be are counting on people's own ignorance to cover their asses, even without wearing underwear in plain site. People don't care.

He spoke truth to power, giving up his considerable success in US intelligence, and weathering the backlash, because US intelligence had begun conducting illegal and immoral mass surveillance. However in the time since, he has been part of an organization along with another erstwhile hero of mine and contemporary US intelligence resignation, Ray McGovern, called VIPS: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. This organization and those in it no longer hold my respect. Bill Binney appeared on Tucker Carlson to discuss a memo VIPS had published countering claims that the DNC had been hacked over the Internet. Binney claimed that logs countered that narrative because Internet speeds were not fast enough to accomplish the speed seen in DNC logs. I have been writing software for computers for over 20 years, and I'm telling you it's a lie. A cellphone salesperson would be able to confirm as much for you. Binney and McGovern, once proud patriots willing to stand up to power, have been compromised.
It's hard to comprehend the depravity of the Bush years and the resultant diminishing of our Constitutional rights, not to mention all of the lives lost in that lie of a war. Bill Binney, you are a national treasure. You help us keep our faith in humanity.
They snuck into his house, knowing he was showering, to terrify him and point a gun in his face. He wasn't under arrest, nor was he charged.

The chances of this happening - *happened* : My mother and her sister, when she was 19, saw a craft and the whole woods light up (at 22:15). Then the light instantly turned off, and they don't know if the craft remained or departed. Then - when my brothers and I were going to Church, we were ages 9, 12 and 13 - we saw a craft in the sky. Stationary, then *extremely fast across the sky, then stopped. Then it zig-zagged (way too fast for any human to have survived), then it was gone.
What gets *me* is: people still tell us we didn't see what we saw. My Brother has since graduated University, and he is known for his memory, and his precision (he is basically "Rain Man". But nobody believes _this_ . It's because *nobody **_wants_** to* !!!We both say "_screw 'em!_ " and we *know _we_ * saw it.
Unfortunately this will fall upon deaf ears.

"You can only imagine what they are doing today"
But, what they are doing today is so bad you couldn't imagine it.
They are doing this and it does affect you. Even if you're not doing anything wrong, you're always being watched and recorded. By basic math, eventually you will fall under suspicion of something, maybe from a wrong number or possibly even a set up. The point is, they can go back in time and scrutinize everything you've ever done or person you've spoken with to make you look like a wrong doer.

I like this guy Wiliam Binney, He seems like a very smart and honorable man. I've watched him on multiple interviews, then and now. He's back in the news because of Ed Snowden.
We the people can turn the boat around it is never to late. As citizens it is our duty to do so. If we the people do not stop the government now, we are not doing our duty in protecting our constitution and therefore we put guilt on our shoulders.

Well, I wish it would be only collecting data from citizens but also as a Targeted Individual, the program allows to change settings from your communication devices to have real time surveillance.

Post the 911 terror attacks two of my phone company coworkers had conversations with me based on shock at my fluency in HK language (nothing more than a hobby like my martial arts) while speaking over the phone causing unfounded and unwarranted suspicions and phone calls regarding me. Ultimately the phone calls erroneously threw me onto a spy list to be torturously experimented on for decades to improve the effectiveness of the CIA's microwave based neuro-weaponry program.
I'm a targeted individual because of smart meters tortured by NSA CIA contractors for request to remove smart meters off my home.

Strategy 6. Keep organizations, churches, and demographics of your society pitted against each other.
Strategy 7. Keep people distracted and ignorant.
Strategy 8. Slowly redefine terms like "freedom" and "privacy" Repeatedly assert the "cost" of those.
Strategy 9. Create agencies and tools to insure the wealthiest and most influential maintain the upper hand.
Strategy 10. Make a grand show of a fake democratic process using hyped media outlets.
... it goes on and on. There is a long game here, and we are right on track. The Constitution, freedom, privacy, rights, and prosperity are already historical relics. In a generation or two, they'll be side-notes in a carefully worded history book.

This man is factual. I know from experience. I had a land line phone problem with AT&T (my land line phone kept telling callers it was full when it was not. I even purchased a new phone to try and elimiante the problem) when I called AT&T they went into "their que" for my phone calls....said their que had not been "cleared" automatically, to verify it was my que they gave me the first names of 3 people I called...and yup......they had the names right. I balked about them saving all my phone calls....they said "there is a law that we are required to do this" so they cleared my AT&T que and send me $ to purchase a new land phone

A 20 something year old man gave a speech about this technology at TED. It wasnt even like they needed to be covert about this all, since its COTI (Common Off The Shelf Information) gleamed through Telecom, Energy, Food, and Banking activities. Only because separation of concerns did this not happen 20 years sooner. Imagine if all 4 activities were operated by Gov't (like communists do) then it would have happened already.
