Funny you said you wished the Mini Roach had jimping, because I just got mine from Kizer and mine does have jimping right where you were talking about. I got the black one for like 37.50, they only have the green last I looked though.
Oh! Oww! Just looked on their site, they're back to $75 now 😢 glad I grabbed mine when I did, thanks for the vid
@@roberttaylor6030 glad you got it brother 🤜🏻🤜🏻
Great video! Thx! Unless you’re a “hardcore” collector, I don’t see the point in buying many “premium” knives. Not with the amazing “budget” models that are now available, many of which come with decent steel.
Carrying the Big & Baby Banters today…
Couldn't agree more brother
Agreed fellas can’t see beating a knife over $100 knowone really needs more that a pyrite style knife for basic edc
Nice lineup, The Pyrite always an absolute winner. I got a Kizer Genie in 154cm on the way another stellar knife for the price. Kizer just kills it these days for value and offers so many designs. It's hard not to like Kizer.
@@UrbanWoodsman87 great choice brother 🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻
Picked up a Kizer Carniferous(I think that's the name) today for 47$, in titanium/micarta and 154 cm blade, nice price for those meterials and brand.
I'll have to check it out 😃
@@GBall_Vision yeah, I bought the slim select in Micarta and S30v and then found out a model in G10'just like it exists, and you can even take it apart, so I immediately boxed up my slim select to keep in mint condition, to use the TRX model. Everyone has said it's the best edc version of the 110.
just got the pyrite lite & it is sharp & light. Well done CJRB !
Agreed 💯💯 it's a good one thank you I appreciate it 🙏🏻
I bought the Pyrite Light from Amazon and love it. I’ve been carrying it for about a week now. It’s perfect.
Great to hear! It's a good one
I have the Kubey carve and it's fantastic for the money! I also have the original Luna, a knife center exclusive, same color combo. The Luna is a great little slip joint.
@@Briancollectsknives great choices brother. Thanks man
Never had a crossbar spring break for me either. I have old well used Bugouts and even an over 20 year old CS Recon1, back when it was a crossbar lock. Bought it when I turned 18 and daily carried it for a decade and beat the hell out of it. The blade coating was 90% worn off when I finally sanded it off. That much use. Literally been opened and closed hundreds of thousands of times. Still on the original springs. I love that knife, still carry it when camping, still beat the hell out of it. It's probably split a cord of kindling. Zero failures or issues ever.
The redesign with a clunky overkill backlock was not needed. The unique fully enclosed crossbar track made it feel super solid. Upgrading it to G10 scales and a better steel was all they should have changed. I'd have bought another one.
@@jdisdetermined that's awesome man! Great info too. I wish I had one of the old crossbar versions
@@jdisdetermined that'd be amazing if they made a new version with the crossbar
Nice list - thanks. I can also recommend the Ganzo G768, Ruike P135 and P801, and the Miki D2-Higonokami - all under $40 currently.
Awesome 😎 noted 👍🏻👍🏻
I’m carrying one of the slicer champions the Spyderco stretch in K390
Yeah man 😎 I've had some k390. Great stuff 👍🏻
My next purchase is the Pyrite Lite. Just got the Rose Gold Bowie Pyrite as my 1st cjrb, and I REALLY like it.
Agreed about the Mini Roach. I just did a video yesterday talking about how much I love that knife! Thanks homie
@@EDCwDBD the light is really cool bro!
I grabbed the mini roach because I wanted to retire my 1st gen Spyderco native. The blades are nearly identical both have good ergos. Only complaint with the mini roach is that the berings get fouled quicker than the washers on the Spyderco.
@@garryflint7419 yeah, one drawback of bearings. KPL been helping keep mine hella smooth
How is the Gerber Zilch not on this list? Average price $20 - $25.
Pivot is smooth as glass. Flicks open faster than an automatic I've ever owned.
I don't own the knife. There are other videos of other knives under 40-50$ on the channel as well
today i have the cjrb pyrtie wharncliffe
Nice selection! I too have gravitated towards budget knives as I like variety and options to rotate my edc.
I work on the water and usually carry two with a third on my life jacket, favorites are the Sitivien 103 and 209, both have held up well to the marine environment, D2 blades retain decent edges, easy to sharpen and both are easy to clean and prevent corrosion.
Ashore I also carry two, last few months they are the Vision FG Damascus Ivory scales either titanium clip and a sleek EF gentleman’s knife. That FG is such a great conversation peace!
I also chose budget knives in the $40-50 range to gift to those who have either never had a decent knife or carried crappy gas station types.
Quite a few of my buddies have been so surprised how often a reliable edc knife gets used daily. Some have also become budding knife enthusiasts.
What am really enjoying is to see so many knife companies improving blade steels, locking mechanism while keeping prices affordable.
Sure some will say so many companies are copying others but I think it is a positive issue, gives individuals more options as an edc knife is very personal and how it will be used.
Great input and observations 🔥 I agree 👍🏻 these days budget knives are worlds ahead of where they use to be. Thanks brother
why no links directly to the knives?
I would imagine because it's pretty easy to search, not worth the effort unless there are affiliate links involved. Just a guess though
Great list brother. I agree about the mini Roach. I carry it more than any other knife. It melts in the hand and disappears in the pocket. Stays sharp a long time too. Kizer kills it in the budget price range. Take care 😃👍🏼
Couldn't agreed more brother 🤜🏻🤜🏻
Thanks for sharing a great batch of affordable knives G! Great video as always 👍 keep up the great work
Thanks for watching!
Those last two are super sick and I’ve never heard of either of them. Thank you for not making a list exactly the same as everyone else.
Just ordered the pyrite light and am looking forward to getting it. Also got the Kershaw Iridium two days ago, they had one of the color ways priced at $45 on Amazon.
Your welcome. Thanks for being here. Those are both really solid knives
Today's carry is the Kizer Escort, Vosteed Ultem Mini Nightshade, and my Elementum fixed blade mini Damascus. Edc pouch has OPry Pro and Baby Banter with Unlocked Composites CF scales with tweezers, Olight I3E EOS, and OPen mini. Olight Baton 3 Pro Max in pocket, Leatherman Kick on the belt. I think that about covers it lol
@@EDCwDBD great carry brother
I got a harnds time in 14c for $14 on Amazon about a year ago. Magnificent quality for how cheap it cost and the elongated thumb hole creates a lovely tuning fork esque chime when you snap it open
Thanks brother I appreciate it 🤜🏻
im grabbing a few this weekend
A couple fantastic $30 14c28n fixed blades are Watchman knives off Amazon. I have 2 and whoever crafts them takes pride in their work. Every single grind line and chamfer is absolutely perfect.
I have a few I have some videos of them up on the channel. Thanks brother 🙏🏻
Trivisa Columba is one of my favourite in this price range
I have featured that on other lists. That is an awesome knife 👏
You are great👍🏼 i love your videos. Dear regards from Switzerland @@GBall_Vision
Boker Rockstub, Ontario Ti22, Kubey Thalia, Ruike P801, CMB Hippo, QSP Parrot, and Kizer Urban Bowie are all great budget bangers that I found for about $30 or less. Carrying Kizer Dawn today!
Great info 😃👍🏻 thanks brother 🤜🏻 great carry 🔥🔥
QSP Parrot is incredible value. I have far more expensive knives but the Parrot is often in my pocket when when I know I am likely to abuse my knife that day and want a beater knife in my pocket. Great general purpose blade in decent steel comfortale and tough as nails; for 25 USD!
Great content, GBall I love Kizer but am not as big a fan of my Ti Genie. The frame lockbar feels awkward to me…on the one I have anyway. Never had that problem with another Kizer though ☮️ pocket check: SBD mini evo harpoon
I forgot they made a titanium version, I'm contemplating getting the new genie for 35$ off Amazon. Insane deal for 154 and micarta
Pyrite Light is my budget knife of the year! 🤩🔥🙌
@@Bobs_Pocket_Knives really? I definitely have it up there for under $50 it's probably #1 too
@@GBall_Vision I bought 2 at $29.99 and gave one as a gift. My buddies first legit EDC!
Should receive Pyrite lite on Friday and think it will also illicit the same feeling as you showed in video. Useful knives don't have to have Ti or S90v steel, which you pointed out with your take on budget knives. Thanks
Thanks Sonny. Hope you enjoy
Just scored a new Sencut Sachse on Blade Binge for 30 bucks plus shipping. Love a good budget knife!
I'll be having a sale on some soon. From budget on up. It'll go to members first then I'll open to public
Spyderco manix 2 with s30v…..I absolutely love the kubey carve… I don’t like liner locks but the carve and rat one are in the same durability category
Great carry 🔥🔥 and I agree brother
got the 154 genie too
I like the mini roach and the pyrite lite best out of these- thanks for showing
Thanks Kathleen 🤜🏻
The SOG Terminus XR is criminally underrated, got the CF/S35VN version for $65 and that's a real winner
$37 mini roach is hands down best value, my fav blade with that huge hollow grind! Interesting, black coated version I have has no jimping, but my satin version does
That is interesting 🤔 I wonder why 😂 and I agree the terminus is amazing 👏🏻
CJRB, please make the Pyrite Light in S90V! Even S35VN would be sweeeet. I would love to see a premium version of this in Ti and S90V, but then it wouldn’t be as lightweight. The FRN with upgraded blade steel would be awesome too. I cut a lot of cardboard, and the RPM9 just goes slick way too fast. I could really see this being an amazing warehouse knife if it had a blade steel that would make it through my entire day without having to keep my field sharpener in my pocket for frequent stropping. I think this would still make an excellent EDC knife, even in the current configuration, as most people don’t cut hundreds of cardboard per day while they are out and about lol
woooooooooooo 10K !!!!
Hi G ball. Thank you so much. I appreciate your work. It would be helpful if you could make chapters on your videos so we can easily skip ahead if we are not interested in a particular knife. Thanks again!
Thank you Joe. I will see if I can do the chapters. They use to but now they don't. Not sure why. I'm not tech savy
@@GBall_Vision btw I still think about and laugh about that video you did about what you do with your knives at work. Lol.
@@joesgreatestates which one was that 😂 I try to do some funny stuff from time to time
Good bunch of knives. Thanks
@@timtitus2532 thanks brother
The Kubey Carve is always a banger. Thanks for the vid!
Always!
Currently carrying the acorn and the cub! It’s a sweet little pair ❤
Great carry 🔥🔥🔥
Ganzo g768 is a great knife. Comes in under $30.
I have some Ganzo. I forgot them. I'll do another list
Nice list, I’m carry the Kizer Hyper Titanium with Elmax
Thanks I appreciate it 🙏🏻 great carry
Where are you seeing the Terminus XR for under $40? Blade HQ, Amazon, SOG have it for $50+
There's a possibility it was changed since making the video. That price was based off Amazon, around the last week of June. Released on July 2nd means I recorded that video in the 3rd or 4th week of june
I know it's not $40, but make sure you look into Off Grid Knives. I carry their Rhino and my wife has the badger. They're super sweet.
I have lots of OG knives and lots of videos on them brother. OG is one of my favorites when it comes to users. I just did a live stream yesterday doing outdoor testing on the OG caiman XXL
@@GBall_Vision Nice, I absolutely love them. I carry the rhino daily because it's such a beast of a knife.
Check out the Viper V2 if you haven't and like tantos. It's damn good as well 👍🏻 @@subvertedworld
@@Dr.Prepper1 Thanks, I'll look into them.
No problem buddy @@subvertedworld
I carry 3. Kbar tdi, ontario rat 2 and leatherman wave.
I've got all 3 of those and they're all great 😃👍🏻
I've had my eye on the Kizer Roach forever.
It's a phenomenal knife man
I carry the Mini Roach pretty regularly. Only thing that I could complain about was the texture of the scales is hard on pockets. I sanded around edges and now it goes in/out smoothly.
You should check out the petrified fish knives. They are pretty nice for the price.
I have lots of videos on their knives brother scope them out 😎😎😎
I would go for the genie mr. Gweg
Love the Genie 😍
I like the idea of all these very budget tools quite a lot but for me they all end up kind of looking the same in my eyes, g10 flipper bearing. Just something i gloss over without a second glance, not my type stuff. Theres a few i do like, and ive got a few budget blades from bestech, sanrenmu, and ganzo from years ago. They're certainly good knives and ill give them to someone who needs a blade or ill carry them or a small slipjoint like a rough ryder sometimes to remind myself that i dont actually need another Chris Reeve or some fancy supersteel. Been looking at a pyrite bowie for a little bit.
A lot of people are in all kinds of different price points so I try to cover as much as I can. Here's a video with some more semi higher ended knives
ruclips.net/video/btDvj2_MkYc/видео.html
@@GBall_Vision alright cool, I added that to my watch later list. I don't have much money these days to buy and collect like I used to, which is another reason I like the budget blades and keep my eyes out for the few that catch my attention. A $40 blade is a lot easier to afford than a $200 one no matter how much I like it.
for a long time it had been the hogue deka in my pocket,
but to day it's the qsp hawk.
Great carry 🔥🔥🔥
@@GBall_Vision yes it is especially with the marbled carbon fiber and s35vn.
but im in wood i take my civivi brazen with 14c28, the qsp for day to day.
@@the13angel I had that exact hawk and sold it just recently. Brazen is also amazing 🤩
@@GBall_Vision yeah the brazen was so good my wife took the first one I got, so I had to get another one.😅
Awesome banger waiting for a non coated drop point pyrite 😊
@@rcjoe406 do they do stonewashed versions?
The curve in the blade on the silkworm will be very good for those who may have to skin their deer + there's plenty of length for gutting and boning. I'd be care with the SOG if bought on Amazon. I bought 1 in S30V a few weeks ago and what showed up was a fake. I called SOG to confirm and they agreed it was not made by them. Amazon took it back but still its best to watch for fakes
@@frankbrowning328 agreed 💯 and that sucks on the sog! Definitely check to make sure it's a reputable seller! Thanks brother
I been watching Knife channels for a long time, and I think there is a lot of money that could be made, if someone with a popular knife channel, started up their own site that functions like RUclips, but for adults bc it's about knives and guns. Then your content cannot be regulated by someone else, and you can expand to firearms as well. If a popular knife RUclipsr tried, I think it's possible, they already know all the important ppl in the knife world, from makers, to high end buyers, even the companies who already sponsor them by sending them knives, so they could easily spread the word to everyone in the community. You could attend blade shows and advertise ahead of time for the channel, and even months ahead of time on your youtube channel to get your subscribers there to join. I know I would go to that website all the time and I don't doubt everyone here would. I always see ppl complaining they're being censored on here bc they don't understand they agreed to the terms for RUclips when they created their channel, so they have no say. They're not being censored and they don't get it, they don't understand they're not being censored bc it's the free market, and a business has a right to control what is on their platform, that's why nobody in the gun world has been successful at combating RUclips's censors. It's way more possible to start your own site than it is to convince RUclips to let you post whatever you want, and I wish the ppl with influence would get that and start a knife and gun video website already. Just a rant, I have been bothered by this lately, I don't think ppl understand those rules are in place to protect business owners.
If I had the money I'd do it. I love all gear. It's part of my life
whats your favorite knife?
11 great knives 👍🏼😁
😂😂😂
👍🍻
Thanks brother 🤜🏻
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa
GBallers check out the DP channel here and subscribe 🔥
All good options! Although, I have been trying to convince my budget knife friends that if they didn't buy 5 budget knives, they could have had a premium knife. Maybe the strategy for me is just to forgo a few $100 knives so I can get a $500 knife so they are convinced to get $150 knives.... [this might be a terrible strategy]
@@annasoH323 😂😂 it's not a bad idea. It depends on what people are trying to do I suppose. I think some people buy hundreds of knives that are under $50 or $75 and are content but at that point having some premium stuff would make sense
woooooooooooooo
The only thing you should add is blade length and overall length
I'll watch later mr. Gweg. Brb.
Spank you fibby
@@GBall_Vision 🥺😭 i'm watching right now mr.Gweg
I am carrying a ckrt squid

You should say at, the knife is the maker
Kizer deckhand in the pocket again today 😮💨
Great knife 🗡️🗡️🔪
Man mini roach under 40? Can't beat that
Right bro cho cho
Nothing beats a good cold steel folder. And anything with a benchmade like axis or cross bar lock is a failed design due to the lock failing when there is a shock or blow to the butt of the knife this happens even in a benchmade cross bar lock. You know what locks don’t fail due to heavy shocks or blows to the knife? Cold steel locks. Nothing beats a cold steel.
Watch some other videos. I test every knife, every lock. Tested hundreds. Surprisingly crossbar locks if done properly can take quite some abuse. But no nothing compared to a triad or shark lock/compression lock
Kizer mini roach FTMFW
Great knife 🔪🔪
The reason I said the maker was for us old men who don’t remember shit
Diving in to specs and all that would add a lot more time to the video and prep for the videos then already is involved doing these. It's a lot to put these together already. If they are shorter lists I can do that
knife enthusiast out there are there any yt reviewers that done flick open and close each knife 18,000 times.. it makes these videos unwatchable to me.. love knives just cant handle that,,,, no shade to this reviewer, its seems very common just not my thing
Basically a habit. Knife in hand for me means open it and close it 😂 plus there's people who complain if you don't show the action and how it operates etc. It's a lose lose situation
@@stevennutz1109 the reviewer is showing the fidget factor in these knives and how easy they are deployed and closed. This factor is huge for most collectors.
Thanks Gweg
Thanks brother 🤜🏻🤜🏻
