I love it. You guys brought back the story from half finished novels to the mtg website, and now we even get an audiobook for said stories! Please, whoever is doing this, don't stop, you're doing gods, ahem, garfields work.
Thank you so much for putting up an audio version of the story, this helps so many people come to the story of a setting. I sincerely hope y'all keep doing this for all stories going forward, and would also be quite grateful if y'all went back and did this for previous stories too.
OMG OMG YES PLEASE KEEP DOING THIS I so much prefer this to using Google's text-to-speech to be able to keep up with the story. This is a huge accessibility win for folks like me with disabilities :3
@@henkdachief there's a big difference between struggling to focus on long text and processing words as you read them. Clearly you're an example of strong action and weak comprehension.
I really, really enjoy this! I hope it continues with stories past Eldraine. Critiques: The editing could be better. Have images and music change with the story. There should especially be a pause between different chapters, and the subtitles could use some tuning. In this specific video, there was a repeated line-read and a throat-clear, which were left in for some reason even though they were obviously noticed by whoever did the subtitles.

Thank you so much! I find it so difficult to read the long stories so I've had to wait until Magic Arcanum summarises them I'd love if some of the past stories were also made into audio clips, like March of the machine and phyrexia all will be one
Rare Wizards W. Thanks y’all! If we are going to complain, we ought to give props when you get it right. Been trying to get into the lore more and more and this is going to help so much!
Great work and much appreciated! Just a small critic for further impovements: This episode is telling us basically two stories (Will+ Rowan's and Kellan's) and is switching between them a couple of times and a small break at this shiftingpoints would've been great instead of reading straight foreward into another part of the story playing at a different place and with different characters, was a little confusing and hard to follow at this points...
This is great! Being able to keep up with the story by listening at work is perfect. The only critique is that I'd love to be able to see the artist credit for the art in the background.
This is definitely a good way of presenting new stories! Maybe have an editor listen through it. There were some plosives, repeated lines, and bad audio edits throughout.
@@rockosmodurnlif Wise words that I'll remember when I'm complaining about free stuff. I'm giving feedback to something new they tried, there's a difference.
As a new player I really appreicate this. This really helps with keeping up with lore, and now I know I will absolutely be buying some Eldraine boxes. Keep pushing OG wizards IP Rhystic Studies should be on your pay role for the services he is providing your community and giving new players tons of direction with the history Magic.
I love this, it's so much easier to engage with the story. As others have said, there were a couple of errors that could have been edited out, and the background art should match the pacing better
Excellent idea, solid va and awesome execution and music. Few times there needed to be a take 2 or more editing with page turning, coughing ect but keep it up!
Ok, this idea is a home run. This is a great way to present the story and the accessibility of having it read means I can listen in the car or while I work, and actually have time to digest the story. The text stories were great and I'll take the lore however I can get it, but sometimes I just don't have time in my schedule to read them. I may not agree with all your decisions lately, but this was great. Good job WOTC.
Great initiative, I was waiting for this since years. No more listening to third party, amateur narrators. Great job! Mtg story is surely great and this is my favorite way of experiencing it.
Love this a lot. Thanks wotc. Hope you keep doing it for this set and others going into the future. :) I find it a lot easier to listen than read and usually i just dont read the stories because of that. I look forward to being connected to another part of the game.
I love this. Keep investing in this. Seriously this would make magic magical again. Bring the story to life. Immerse us. Give us a universe worth getting lost in. Characters we love and weep for. Like Patrick Rothfuss, or Tolkien, etc
I really love this! Only little suggestion is to change the artwork in the background with the different story sections, it was always confusing for the first few seconds when the section would change
Thank you for this reading! Audiobooks are much easier for me than reading I really appreciate this I've always wanted to be able to get into magics story thank you!
This is a great way to enjoy the story, instead of reading through Magic’s website. I would love if this could be published in an audiobook form, so I could listen to it on a separate app. Otherwise, it would be nice if these were posted to a separate RUclips channel or playlist, so I can get unique notifications/organization.
I wish it wasn't a immediately change of view. We go from will and rowan struggling to out of no where without pause we hear about killan. We need a better transition in this for the future
French player here, but an english speaking one. It's not yet at the quality that voice of all once had, but it's realy great to have the story in an audio form, both in terms of accessibility and diversity of ways to enjoy the story. I reiterate the commentaries made previously : The editing could be better. Have images and music change with the story. There should especially be a pause between different chapters, and the subtitles could use some tuning. In this specific video, there was a repeated line-read and a throat-clear, which were left in for some reason even though they were obviously noticed by whoever did the subtitles.
Yo, free readings of the story published by WotC themselves? This, this I like.
Algorithmic! Engagement! Support!
I love it. It's like shattering glass when halo reach came out

I don't think they need to go back and do it. That's a huge ask..but going forward I do hope they continue with this.
Actually, there's a channel called Voice of All that has done a HUGE number of the older stories! Mostly with a full cast!
OMG OMG YES PLEASE KEEP DOING THIS
I so much prefer this to using Google's text-to-speech to be able to keep up with the story. This is a huge accessibility win for folks like me with disabilities :3
Finally we get audio. It's so much easier to listen than to read at least for me.
Same here I had been using text to voice software to listen to the story but this is way better, keep it up WOC
how can you guys play magic or comment on youtube when you cant read?
@@henkdachief there's a big difference between struggling to focus on long text and processing words as you read them.

MORE OF THIS!
it would also be OK if you did this for past stories too 👍🏽
Super hyped for more free MTG story! Turning this into a video for accessibility is a huge win too

100% pauses. Not clear when pov change

Honestly, this is amazing. Thanks for doing it. You should have done this year's ago. Honestly, I would record past set stories too.
This is a perfect first step in saving the lore of MTG. A refreshing win admits a marathon of loses. This brings me hope ❤
Oh nice, super excited to be able to follow the story in audio form. Thanks for doing this!
I am SO glad y’all are providing audio versions of the stories now! Been wanting this for quite a while!
This is wonderful, please keep this type of content coming. This is a great way for a lot of us to engage with the magic story
Adding an audio version of the story is incredible WOTC. I hope you do this moving forward for them all =D
I don't comment on anything, but I absolutely love this. Please don't stop doing this.
This is exactly what we needed. I hope the story becomes more focused upon but March of the Machine really made me sad.
Well written, and very well read! This might be the best MTG story in awhile. Give the narrator a raise!
Thank you so much for doing this! I have such a hard time reading paper books. This makes the story and lore much more accessible for me.
This is awesome. Any chance it lands on Spotify?
I've been waiting for you all to do something like this for years. THANK YOU!!
I love that you’re now recording the whole story. Please consider adding time stamps so we can go to the different sections of the story easier :)

Definitely wasn’t perfect, but it’s the first one. It existing is a great in its own right even if there is unsurprisingly room for improvement.
