Brilliant playing... I have opinions on the mic placement... For me this is not the optimal placement for recording euphoniums, because you get too much of the direct sound into the mic. It's better to have the microphone in front of the soloist, about 2-3 meters away. But the playing is mind-blowing!
Wonderful playing!!! Intrigued, now that I've seen the full construct of the band, although primarily the traditional structure of a brass band, why french horn instead of tenor?
Hi Algirdas, I the Soloist and principle euphonium of my school symphonic band and this coming april, my school band will be having a concert and in the repertoire, there is 1 solo piece for Euphonium, Something arranged by Naohiro Iwai and originally sung by George Harrison. The piece has a couple high notes that I was able to pitch a few weeks ago but in the recent practice I had, I couldnt play the solo and it really affected me and I was hoping you could share some tips on improving my high range and strength? Thank You

We are definitely working on that. We recently appointed a female cornet player as well as this upcoming series our baritone player will be female as well. Nothing to do with policies, just not many brass female players around Pittsburgh. See your point though
Resounding fun! Thanks, Algirdas!
Thank you!
Woah both my trombone and tuba professor are in this band!!!

The beginning sounds a little like Blue Bells of Scotland, doesn’t it?
One Pryor solo sounds a lot like all the others, but they are all good and hard to play.

You should play melody shop. It’s my favorite euphonium solo, and you’d be amazing at it!
hey. where can i get the sheet the euphonium is playing at 4:27?
nice job!!
Which arrangement was this?? Got one but hasn't got the minor section in the middle.
This is our own arrangement, it will be published with a new recording and piano version in few weeks on this channel. Keep an eye for it :)
is it a cell phone in right pocket??? :) you mute it for sure? :D
Who arranged it

I know it is not an answer anyone likes but practice holding your highest note that sounds good for as long as you can and repeat
