This sounds a lot more relaxed than others at the beginning.
LandOfPhilosophy for sure. All the others almost sound frantic. I love his style way more.
Bravo Kevin! This is really incredible!!
I did this piece as part of my senior recital in college many moons ago. This was great!
Thanks Dion 😊
the most entertaining recording out there in my opinion
Bravo the Glen Dodgson arrangement and a very nice cadenza at the end too
Excellent as always! '84 KSO.

Damn good chops!
Nice work kevin.Congratulations
Thank you Alberto!
Hello sir! I need that piece for my audition next month. Can i copy this? Annie laurie
HI! you can search online to purchase a copy. The arrangement is by Glenn Smith.
I'm doing this as a solo, any tips?
Hi Hayden, work it up slowly, and continue to practise scales, arpeggios, and interval studies. Over time you'll find your flexibility gets better, and that makes the faster variations a little easier. Don't be in a rush! If you have a private teacher, these are probably all the things he or she already tells you! Good luck!
Made a superior, thank you so much for the help, now I'm off to state!
Made a superior at state! Now to try my hand at the David Concertino!
Hayden Lee
Great news! Congratulations and keep up the good work!
Great job! How did you memorize all of this? 😮😱
anorak question what mouthpiece make and size please I am just curious as I am always struggling between Bach 5G and 4G but always end up feeling more comfortable on the 4G although I have to work harder on my stamina and deintion I love the sound
elkartian Go with whatever you feel the best on, and what's makes the best sound. I switched a few months ago to a 4g, and it took some time to build endurance back up. Once I did I found my range all over the horn was much better. I can hit from a pedal C to a high F (top of treble clef). If you can stretch your budget a little, a Hammond 11 ML or L would have the same rim size, but I think produce a better tone, at least in my opinion. No matter what you do, have someone else listen to your playing on both, preferably a teacher.
Hi, CommanderMaddox makes a good point. Find something that is comfortable for you, starting with standard models and trying different things. Following someone else's mouthpiece recommendation is a bit like asking someone what size shoes they wear and then wearing the same size regardless of your feet. After trying Doug Elliott, Bach, and Denis Wick mouthpieces over the years I have settled on a Hammond 11ML for trombone, 11L for euphonium.
All the best!
Kevin
