This is how I want to sound, what a beautiful tone 😍
Hello Algirdas, I love your interpretation of this piece. Bravo
I really enjoyed this, I just bought this solo for me to work to get to. I'm still working on developing my chops after my ten year hiatus of not playing. I am really enjoying playing the euphonium again, so glad I finally saved up to buy my Yamaha neo. Your videos really help!!! Thanks so much..
Sure my friend! Thanks for kind words. Best, Algirdas!
Where did you buy it from? (I know this is an old comment lol) If you have the website you bought it from it'd be greatly appreciated!

I love the direction this guy is taking the Euphonium!I
I've met him and he's the real thing, by the way - the Revolution is nigh!

Great video and outstanding playing by you and the pianist!
@@singplay6 Thank you!
@@Matonizz You're very welcome. Keep up the great work! Your musical journey, teaching, and playing examples are an inspiration to many! From the new player to the old "returning" players like myself.
I enjoyed this. Still in awe of your speed playing.
Thanks Anna!
Great... love your last grissand
Awesome....beautiful tone!
W. O. W. Brilliant playing. Thanks
So great!!!
Thank you!
Fantastic
M'y favorite singel
😅just beautiful 😅
Just Great!!!!!
You sound so good! How many years have you played?
Good! I'd like to know what type of valve you're squeezing with your left thumb. I've never seen anything like it. Thanks!
Hey Hitalo, it's called trigger. It allows you to adjust your main tuning slide buddy. Best, Algirdas
Nice! I didn't know this kind of trigger in euphonium. Thank you, Mr. Matonizz!
If you look on Besson's website, the Prestige 2052 has one.
Amazing!!!! I love your tone! What instrument model are you on? Is it the jp247?
Hermoso
I'm going into my senior of high school and I'd like to play a solo with the band but I can't decide between this solo, Carnival of Venice, or Thoughts of Love by Author Pryor. Which do you think I should play?
Libertarian Capitalist I don't know if it's too late for recommendations, but it's also my Senior year, and in my schools chamber, jazz, and recital concert, which is all in one night, I'm Playing Rhapsody for Euphonium, by James Curnow. It isn't as difficult as what you were saying, but it's definitely easier to learn, especially if you're doing it with your band. I have full faith that your band can handle any of what you said, I just like Rhapsody for Euphonium a lot.
Show.....
Hey Matonizz What euphonium were you using here? JP274?
Sterling Virtuoso prototype
@@Matonizz oh the 374. Got it. Sounds great
great playing!!! why does the horn often sound sharp? is that the horn or you? (not trying to criticize - just wondering for my own playing expectations).
What euphonium are you using? by the way amazing playing!
***** Hey man, thanks a lot. It's Sterling Virtuoso. It's not complete in this vid since I only grabbed it from the factory by the time vid was shot. If you wanna see how it looks now check www.am-brass.com

Ah i see, i saw the trigger and eliminated out some models but couldnt quite put my finger on it
Yes, i hear the change in the sound with this horn.
Hey! This is amazing! This is my second year playing euphonium and I'm learning this solo. I was wondering how do you play a gliss on a euphonium. Also how would you approach playing that 32nd note run at the end? I basically play that as a rip and I feel that that isn't correct
+Carlos Desrosiers Hey buddy, it would be very hard to explain that by writing, I will make a vid about it in the future. Regarding the end, I play a very fast slur which is pretty much exactly what is written, with all the harmonics on it, focus on the bottom note and bounce from it. When you go up you use less but faster air, think of it almost as if you are doing decresendo towards the top. Hope it helps! Regarding gliss, learn how to bend semi tones, then add another semi tone and another and etc. When your face muscle become strong enough where you could bend with relaxed lips you will be able to gliss, that is more of a time thing.
+Matonizz Thank you that helped very much
So you played this extremely difficult solo whole when u only had 2 years of experience?
cosmic shark it’s easily possible with focused and deliberate practice
I have never used a 4th valve horn, what does the 4th does and when do you use it
It's a trigger for the first and third valve.
It replaces the fingering 1 and 3 making it sound better
My school teacher gave this to me and expected me to play it and I’m in Yr 9
Hi! Please give me the notes of this song for euphonium and piano . PLEASE !!!
I guess you need to buy 'em 😅
Hey does anyone know where i can get the full score for free in bass clef?
Curious as to which mouthpiece you are using? Sounds great!
Caleb Taylor Thanks man! It's SM Ultra 4

Even with the trigger on the tuning slide, your top notes are incredibly out of tune...?
To be honest, I didn't do the best job in terms of tuning myself, not much to do with trigger. We live and learn my friend ;)
Because of my mind
You do it better….
