I have a cabin there and fish Panguitch lake mainly early spring and late fall. If your coming to fish, do not come the middle of summer. Terrible algae bloom makes the water look like pea soup. Have caught a lot of tigers 25" or better. Best is a couple of 30" hogs.
@@LorettaJ-b7y they are similar to rainbow trout, they just have different markings. I guess I didn’t read your original question correctly. The 11.3 cutty was my biggest overall trout. Rainbow trout my biggest is 9lbs 🤘
Im not 100% sure but I believe the answer is both. I know most of the trout spawn so your not allowed to fish intakes at certain times of the year. I believe the tigers can’t reproduce as they are only there to take out the suckers/chubs.
At Panguitch its a 4 fish slot limit. You can keep 4 rainbows any size or a combination of, 2 cutthroat or Tigers under 15” or 1 cutthroat or tiger over 22”s along with bows for a total of 4. Most standard trout fishing techniques are allowed.
